This market is actually the only market in the area, as the next one was 12+ miles away. Anyways, you can find Timmons Market next door to The Goodwill with plenty of parking available in the lot. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with how big this market was, as we thought it was going to be a small market. There is quite a large selection of produce, meat, baked goods, etc. And the prices were relatively pretty cheap, especially compared to Safeway (which was 12+ miles away). We ended up purchasing chicken to cook for our dog (as that is part of her normal diet, along with her dry dog food and also vegetables and sometimes steam rice. Yes, we do cook for our dog because she deserves the best. We also made chicken for ourselves too), along with vegetables and some fruits (for ourselves and you know for our dog too). The aisles were clean and it was pretty easy to find things. The layout was similar to any other market. Service was friendly each time we shopped here. You might say we were a captive audience. We were led through a long foyer with incredibly filthy, worn carpeting to an attractive banquet room with much newer carpeting. A simple charcuterie plate intended to be shared barely make it halfway around our table and was not replenished. We were offered wine or beer (included) and given a choice of 3 entrees. The Missus and I ordered the honey pepper salmon. The entrées tasted okay, except that everything arrived lukewarm and the portions were stingy. I tried their reuben. They claimed it's Rapid City's best, but if that's it's best, don't order a reuben in Rapid City. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great. Just bland. Not enough sauerkraut. The thousand island dressing (served on the side by default) was pretty good but salty. I had a side of broccoli, which I thought was a nice option, but it was bitter and undercooked. Once again, it took time to get any server to notice and resolve issue - no apology, just annoyance. I think they're annoyed because it's a SCAM and if you pay more without catching the error they get a bigger tip- funny they brought us the right meals then tried to charge us for Dallas ribeye and a large filet dinner and multiple drinks IN ADDITION to my $15.99 sirloin meal and his single pork chop meals. And you charge extra for butter for a sweet potato - talk about nickel and diming dining. Ugh! The FOOD was good and that is the only reason this review gets 2 stars instead of one. My medium rare sirloin steak was perfect - better than you should expect from a chain steakhouse - and my dinner companion liked his chop. Sides and side salads were generous and fresh. Still, I likely won't be back without noise cancelling earbuds and more patience though. I remain incensed with ziosks in general but even more so when I feel intentionally SCAMMED.
