I was very hopeful after reading the positive feedback for western broadband service here but after moving into a new home where I need this service in order to teach remotely, I have spent two months calling and asking for service to be connected. I have been given excuses, promises and no service still after all these weeks of trying. I understand businesses are trying to keep up, these have been trying months, 16 or more since the pandemic started, but this is just too much. Terribly disappointed. read more

I signed up for this service before I moved in and was told the person responsible for setting up the service truck was broken and they were not sure when he would be able to set up my service. Five days later the service was set up and in the last 7 days the service went down for three of those days. I am now entering my second week of service and the service has be down again since last night, it's now two in the afternoon and I can get anyone on the phone and I still have no service. Update: service is up and running. once all of the issues were fixed the service has been great. Much better than Cox! read more

A++++++++ I'm a big computer/internet guy. Living in rural areas kinda sucks but they fixed that one issue I've tried most of the companies in my area and know a slight backround of how they run their systems. Things are so advanced in wireless technology these days (minus actual "satellite" internet) that the only thing you need is a solid backbone connection and you can supply everyone with what they need. That's what these guys do. They provide you internet plans with generous speed caps off of a tier1 fiber network so it's literally like paying the actual fiber company to run lines to your house.......... But you don't have to in this case. Also the continuous expansion of their network to keep peak hours less congested makes an internet guru like me happy read more

The folks at Western Broadband have really worked hard to make my internet experience amazing. When I first moved into my home off of the 76 there were very few options available to me for internet, I reached out to Western Broadband and they came out and mounted an antenna which beamed a signal from the nearest tower. My internet connection wasn't great but it was the best I could get living so far from civilization. A few years passed and I learned that they had continued to upgrade their antennas and added more throughout the region including one that was much closer to me, I figured I would be able to get better service if I was connecting to a closer antenna but I did not want to bother anyone so I avoided calling. When finally I decided to give them a call I was so incredibly impressed with how much they wanted to give me the best experience possible. They tried to apologize for my subpar internet speeds up till this poont and I assured them it was okay (knowing that I live so far out and shouldn't expect better), but they would have none of it and insisted that they would do everything possible to improve my internet connection. I felt kind of silly for not calling sooner given their amazing customer service. These folks are really genuinely nice people who want to offer exceptional service. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

I live by Lake Wohlford.. a remote area and basically had Verizon Wireless or Dish/Direct TV satellite internet for options which were all pricey, slow, with caps on your data usage. I tried every place I could find and these guys worked for me. I've had service with them since 2013 and my service is more reliable than my Media Com cable service I used to have. I have a 4G dish aimed at a mountain top in San Marcos and I have great service, I am able to stream Netflix, HBO GO, YouTube, etc with out any problems. No issues when it rains or with high winds. I would probably have Verizon with caps if these guys weren't around. I have the $60 plan and that's exactly what I pay, no hidden fees taxes or charges, thanks Western Broadband! read more

I have never had such a trouble free installation. I was promised that when we moved to our new house (at Lake Wohlford) all we had to do was plug in our WiFi Router. I have heard that before. But, I hooked up the Router and everything worked just as promised. And it is so fast, especially compared the AT&T we had at the old house. Thank your Western Broadband! I wish all companies had this level of customer service! Always pleasant, always quick to respond. I have the mid-level service, in Valley Center, and it's fantastic. I've had it for years now and had one tiny glitch when the dish was knocked over (bird, UFO, tree rat? who knows). They came and fixed it the same day and it took two minutes. I suffered through with AT&T for years and every day, as I'm streaming on several devices and working from my at home office, I thank my lucky stars I found Western Broadband. LOVE them! read more

Before I moved to Warner Springs, the first thing I asked was "Are there any broadband internet service providers out there besides satellite? I'm a database developer and work from home. If I can't get broadband internet, I can't move there. Satellite just won't cut it!" Everyone said "Call Fred!" and they were right. We are in Valley Center not far from Lake Wohlford...We've been very happy with Western Broadband's reliable signal and no data caps for a good price. Prior to Western Broadband's ground based wireless network we were stuck with expensive satellite service which was frequently unreliable and had data caps; if you streamed one show or too many news clips or YouTube videos it would throttle back to dial-up speed for the remainder of the day. And the signal faded in and out every time there was rain. So frustrating. Plus you cannot use video chat or VOIP programs like Skype or Yahoo Messenger effectively on satellite, but you can on ground based wireless. Other ground based wireless providers in the area (whom I won't mention by name) were complained about by friends and neighbors. We also found out Western Broadband has a more secure signal...If you have the chance save yourself the learning curve and go with Western Broadband....Also, I've never had any streaming delay or buffering problems and I stream shows and movies regularly. read more
