I have eaten breakfast here but they serve more than breakfast. They have sandwiches, salads and other lunch items- and you may be able to pull something together for dinner. While shopping today, I could not help but notice product alignment. It's always about the merchandiser. The merchandiser made product awareness and availability evident. The product was beautifully placed and faced. Employees do possess great customer service skills and problem solving skills. I had a good day here, they had the right product and the right price to make an exceptional shopping experience. I only saw one item not fronted but that's just me. An improvement in fronting product is to front all product for consistency of product availability. I can't say that's a small fix but it's a major fix. Inspire more, Yelp more!

They have a lot of items that I cannot find where I live/shop in Midwood, Sheepshead , Coney Island area. I will say I purchased tasty cakes on sale two for one and they expired the next day. I'm guessing that's why they were so cheap. As I know that doesn't violate any laws.. I thought their prices were overall lower than what I see at Stop & Shop on Avenue Y and even ShopRite on Avenue I and McDonald. ShopRite used to be so affordable. Now it's like Aldi or Amazon fresh for good prices. But I remember being very happy at city fresh market.. everyone was nice to me. I also noticed a lot of people working.. I don't know what was going on in the front with a different other businesses. I saw people commenting about that.. It's really only in one area, though it didn't bother me.. first of all the places pretty darn big. I couldn't get over the bakery & deli section. Also a great selection of drinks.. The tres leche is amazing and it's & $3.50 cheaper than any of the Turkish or Russian bakeries that I've been going to for years. Lastly, I wanna say that when I was younger supermarkets, such as Waldbaums and Pathmark would have other items in the front. There was a lawnmower section, and a whole section ppl could rent steam cleaners for your carpet or upholstery. So that's not a ridiculous concept.. been to city fresh about seven times in the last year and it has never let me down. I look forward to going next week when I have my next dentist appointment.:)

The menu at the time I was shopping was vegetarian soups and some salad. I was looking for hearty crusty bread, not the usual soft supermarket sliced bread. They usually carry it but yesterday I was out of luck unless I went with bagels which I didn't want to. I saw they had pita bread available so I got 5 packs of that. I also saw hard bread sticks from Bagels in Brooklyn which I have been to before so I picked up some of that as well. This place is a warehouse so it can seem a bit dusty. But they have loads of national brand groceries as well their own branded stuff. They usually have their own bread, which is cheaper and fresher than the other packaged stuff . However, all their stuff seems to get sold so worrying about getting fresh items is usually not a problem This place is owned by Western Beef. Their stuff is cheaper than most supermarkets in the area which says a lot. The produce section is huge and some of the stuff comes in bigger packages than the average family needs. The meat and dairy sections seems to also have a good turnover. As for refrigerated cheese it is their stuff available for sale.
