Weird is just the only word I can think of to describe it. And the muffin was not dense at all. It kind of fell apart when you bit into it. I took a "sour cherry" pastry home snd it was ok. The menu is suitable for literally any dietary need without compromising their spin on elevated tavern/comfort food. Ample appetizers, interesting salads, tacos, meat/non-meat and even vegan options abound - all with terrific portion size and execution. Our entire group was pleased (and some are persnickety).
