We ordered the mussels linguine and the croque madame, then sealed the deal with affogatos for dessert. Everything was so good that I completely forgot the most important rule of dining in 2026: take pictures before you eat. Instead, we just... ate it. Rookie mistake. You can really feel the warmth of this family-owned gem--from the welcoming atmosphere to the care put into every dish. Looks like we'll have to come back... highly recommend!

This year's party of five dined on the patio. We sampled their clam chowder and onion soup ... both brought smiles and yummy noises. One party goer had the mussels and loved that hugh bowl of fresh tasting and well spiced sea food. I went full carnivore and had the steak ... pricy at $44 but perfectly cooked, tender and served with a fresh cut mound of fries. Dessert for me was the noise and it rocked. Others had cream brûlée and it too earned high marks. Why not 5 stars? There were a couple of minor service faux pas so I like to keep it real. But 4 stars are all well earned. And, I will be back at our next car club event. Recommended.

BEST. CAKE. EVER. If you haven't ordered a cake from Peg, please go do so immediately. (For more on…read morethe cake you can skip down to the paragraph that starts with "There are NO WORDS...") I also had the best service. I live in San Francisco and needed to find a place to bake a birthday cake for my mother-in-law's 90th birthday party. 24 people were gathering at Interlaken Inn to celebrate. I reached out to about 3 places and Peg got back to me immediately--all via email. Through email I told her we wanted a chocolate cake with fresh fruit and whip cream in the middle. She said she needed to make two 9" rounds to feed the 24 of us. I picked up the cake on Saturday afternoon and asked for two sandwiches to go (turkey)) and they were both delicious, FYI! Saturday evening we celebrated at the Millerton Inn Restaurant. The kitchen put a candle on the cake (we had forgotten!) and after we sang Happy Birthday they cut the cakes and handed out the slices. There are NO WORDS to describe how much every single person in our group raved over this cake! It was super moist. The fresh fruit brought a lovely light acidity to the chocolate, and the whip cream was light and not too sweet. The cake wasn't too sweet either. My stepdaughter's husband actually never eats cake because he thinks it is too sweet and honestly, we couldn't stop him from seconds (and thirds) and each time he was in awe of how much he loved it! It was incredibly rewarding for me to see everyone so happy with the cake! Peg--THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! You're a baking genius. I'm only sad I can't get your cakes in San Francisco. And if any of this sounds like hyperbole, I assure you it is not. If anything, I haven't done a proper job describing the love your cake engendered.

The only saving grace was the kind young lady who apologized, yet didn't seem surprised by our feedback. She offered to have the owner reach out, though that never happened. Overall disappointing.
