This small family diner achieves what it aims to do. It provides simple fresh ingredients at reasonable prices. This newly purchased and converted diner with a "farm to table" theme provides exactly and simply what people ask for; good food, reasonably priced, with portions that will fill and satisfy all. Check, check, and check. Personal recommendations: their daily specials are truly the best values. Portions are generous, order accordingly. Save room for dessert (only regret will be left in your heart if you don't)! Soft drinks are in cans and are $2 each, order accordingly. Bacon is a little salty for my taste, just an FYI. Awesome spot! It was extremely packed when I went but worth it. The interior is well kept and the staff was professional. They serve some of the best coffee I have personally had at a restaurant. My fiance had the sweet potato hash and it looked amazing. I had the southern omelette and it was delicious. Only issue is that I had to pay for a side of hash browns and they were not great unfortunately. However, I highly recommend! read more

I want to love this place but I just can't. I've gone four times, three lunch and one breakfast visit. The servers (except Adam) are slow, inattentive and uneducated about the food they're serving. The food is decent, depending on who is in the kitchen. Ie: soft scrambled eggs should not be brown. We prefer to "shop/dine local" and there are a lot of other places to choose from. Well done to the owners here. I'm not from the area, but when I walked in to WestEnd Farm to Table, it felt like I was at home. I came for the busy lunch hour around 12:30 p.m., and and was immediately greeted with a smile and warm cup of coffee. I felt no pressure or hustle from the server and felt as if I could relax there all day if I pleased, which I never actually do but always appreciate. I had the tuna sandwich and a bowl of the famous tomato soup. The soup really hit the spot of a cold day, and its a must try. Note that the tomato soup has heavy cream in it and while delicious, I wasn't able to finish an entire bowl, would recommend the cup instead. The knowledgeable server confidently knew every ingredient in the tuna salad (I hate onions in my tuna). None of this wavering or noncommittal answers about what is in it, or having to go ask the chef. I knew I was in good hands at that point. The coffee refills were plentiful and frequent. And good god, the prices were reasonable - I felt like I traveled through a portal into the early 90's. While I do spend a lot of time in major cities like Chicago, NYC, and DC where cost of living is exponentially higher (especially for the service industry), the combination of quality of food, service, and overall experience at WestEnd commanded higher prices in my opinion. Whenever my work brings be back to Jackson, I'll be dropping by WestEnd! read more

This place is awesome! I really enjoyed everything from start to finish. Their coffee was great! Their service was great! The food; perfection. This place is close to home so I decided to give it a try for lunch. The decor is simple and clean. I'm leary of place that have a multiple page menu, this place has a simple one page, double-sided menu. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and it was fantastic! A rich, creamy dressing coupled with plenty of corned beef made for a satisfying lunch. The fries that came with it were crispy and tasted great with some salt and malt vinegar added to them. I would highly recommend WestEnd to anyone looking for great food at a great price! The food is exceptional, service is fast & friendly and the options are plenty. They serve breakfast all day, which is I think is great. I would recommend their Lorraine Quiche. Although, I plan on going back to try some of their lunch options, too. Their ranch is homemade and is very similar to a few of my favorite spots, so that alone would bring me back. My only compliant is that they're almost a 45 minute drive from me, but WestEnd is definitely worth the trip! read more

This is a great little diner with lots of charm and very pleasant wait staff so please do not let the three star rating deter you from checking this place out. The food was good but not great. The sausage gravy appeared to be ham and gravy so it was a big flavor miss for me. I had the potato platter with eggs over easy and wheat toast. The Mrs. Had biscuits and gravy and echoed my thought on the gravy. She also added that the biscuits were ok but did not taste scratch made. Overall good place to eat breakfast and very reasonably priced. When I get back again I may opt to try the omelet instead. read more

Super clean. New tables. Good waitstaff. The quiche was good, but over seasoned with fresh herbs, had fatty meat, soggy bottom, and parts were still cold. It has potential to be a great menu item. When I pulled up at 11:30 it looked really busy and I wasn't sure we'd get a table. Lucky for there was a table for 2 - perfect! My daughter ordered a chocolate milk and said it tasted funny. I took a sip and found it to be sour. Our server replaced it immediately without any hesitation and apologized for the inconvenience. Ordered a burger and sandwich. In no time we had both orders. Lunch was good, service was good and the servers were very polite and personable. Would like to come back some time to try breakfast. read more
