    Breaded pork tenderloin
    April A.

First time here. Recommend by a friend. Our server was phenomenal! It's a smaller place, tight seating but a clean restaurant. The food was phenomenal. I loved my breaded pork tenderloin. It was well done and not overcooked. I cannot wait to go back again!

Everyone liked the taste of the food they ordered. Chicken, schnitzel, breaded, pork tenderloin, and roast pork. My wife LOVED the cucumber salad that came as her desert. The Kolosky was very tasty also. I was very disappointed that the potato dumplings were not ready considering we arrived at 1:45 PM. I just don't understand this. The gravy was also a little on the weaker side however, the gravy they gave us to take home was thicker and had more flavor. I will give this another try. Hopefully they have the potato dumplings next time.

I want to make a trip back to Illinois to come here again! The best prices for an amazing amount of quality food... It's located in a strip mall but SO full of personality when you enter the doors. The wait staff was so kind and quick. The meal was huge--easily able to share and we just ordered one extra side. Tables, floor, bathroom--all super clean.

Best food I've had in quite a while. Highly recommend the stuffed cabbage, potato dumplings, liver dumpling soup, and apple strudel!!! Great food, service, cute atmosphere. Feel like I stepped into the 50s.

The Westchester Inn is legendary... BIG portions, 2 sides, soup, bread, coffee/tea, dessert ALL included! You have to know some things though: the decor is wood paneled walls, fake fabric/silk flowers, burgundy booths. The clientele using have walkers/canes. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. MOST patrons of The Westchester Inn don't need a menu- they know EXACTLY what they want. My family can rattle off the order of soups/sides/desserts. Our favorite: the breaded pork tenderloin, dumplings, cabbage, beef noodle soup, kolacky. If you're new, welcome! Keep in mind that this restaurant is the way it is. If you're returning, you already know all of this.

Food described as Bohemian, Hungarian. Service was excellent, I would give a 3.5. I was worried if I would be able to taste the flavors because my Sinuses were draining so bad. But everything that I had was satisfying. Menu options pork, chicken, beef, and seafood options simple. I ordered stuffed peppers but It seems like I had stuffed cabbage either way I didn't mind as I like both. My food wasn't really hot but it wasn't warm. The dumplings were good. The cucumber salad was yummy. I think if I return I may try goulash. Coffee...was nice and balanced. Dessert struessel was tasty with a few nice options. Ambiance felt like visiting a family restaurant. Everyone was so kind and the service quick. Parking is plentiful as it's in a mall like area.

Special dish was the meatball in dill sauce, which was light and breaks apart easily with a fork. Very delicious as I never had that. There is a build your own salad bar with fresh ingredients and a variety of salad dressings. They offer a variety of cold side dishes; Cole slaw, pasta salad, potato salad, kidney beans, slices of red beets, jello, sour cream, and many more that I didn't get to try. Next was the hot foods. They offer one type of pierogi for the day, which was cabbage that day. They also had Potato pancakes that were thin and flavorful. Also crispy on the outside and soft inside. There were also Potato dumpling, boiled potatoes with gravy, sauerkraut, corn, and beef slices. First time having stuffed cabbage with ground meat with rice and breaded pork with ground pork. The meat wasn't as dense as I thought it would be, but still very filling. They also had fried chicken. The chicken were moist and just fell off the bones. There were apple blintzes, which was like thin crepe wrapped around slices of apples with powdered sugar. Had a light sweetness to it. Recommend to go add some soft serve ice cream. A variety of small bites of pastries. Kolaczki were amazing and very soft and fresh. They have a small sheet that list out all the items with the prices that they offer at the buffet. They have styrofoam containers to take the food home. Very reasonable prices like the cabbage rolls and breaded pork are $3 each and Kolaczki $0.50 each. Monica our waitress was very quick to take away any empty plates on your table. Refill drinks. Really nice and friendly. Also gave us a pitcher of water so we can refill our glasses. Everything tasted like homemade but even better. Made fresh snd Seasoned well. Weekday buffet dinner for $19 is a great deal. Definitely will come back on another weekday to try another one of their special dish. Recommend to bring cash. They do take credit cards. Oh and the GPS if going East on Cermak rd you can turn into 18th street or turn straight into the restaurant parking lot. Our GPS told us to go down 19th street and turn into an alley to get to the restaurant parking lot.

The line was long at times, but the staff did a great job of keeping the food full and hot! They do take reservations and it's great for large groups. The food is incredible and authentic. Best potato pancakes and stuffed cabbage I've ever had! I also loved the sausage and the coleslaw. They only had potato pierogi at the buffet but you are able to order variations from the server. Our server was prompt, but a little standoff-ish. It may have been due to how busy the night was. The kraut was not my favorite but it was still good. They had a carving station at the end of the buffet with different meats! If you do not like traditional polish food, there are still some options. That being said, you'll be missing out! There was a little dessert station with a few options and a soft serve ice cream machine. Our entire group ate until we were stuffed! I heard they do catering and I think in the future we may try that for a family event.

The curry wurst was the bomb but needed more sauce. The sauce was heavenly though. The potato pancakes great and flavorful. The cabbage rolls tasty. The liver soup not my favorite only because it had a liver taste--which if you like, then you'll like it. The saurkraut and purple cabbage the best Ive ever tasted and worth getting. The spetzel so-so, not much flavor. Son liked it though. The bread dumplings ok. More like white bread. The big pork shank that is the prize-it was good but not as stellar as we thought it would be. And we did make sure to order it crispy like it said to and it wasn't. Looked like it was a little browned but even my young son said the fat isn't rendered. I think it would have been a lot better if it had been crispy like in other pictures on here. Disappointed. It's like $35. Not cheap. The beef with sauce (sauerbraten) was good, the sauce great, the beef ok. The special that was going on, the beef roulade. Nobody liked it at all. The stuff just didn't taste good together in it. Overall, it was a good experience. The waitress Rosie was amazing, most of the food was great to awesome. The ambiance was German and cozy. Our favorites: the curry wurst sauce, the saurkraut and red cabbage and the stuffed cabbage rolls.
