Doctor Mehta was recommended by another his patient. He answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable. Dr.Mehta is very professional and caring DOCTOR. The surgery went very well and I am very happy with my result. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. The surgical assistants were very calming and helpful. Maria was monitoring my sugar level and even gave me a warm blanket. The doctor called me 3 times during a first week after surgery to check up, I have never had a doctor do that and it showed he genuinely cared about my recovery. On arrival, presented cards as requested, call placed my account verified as active/good & again I was told "your insurance is good"...."We'll be with you shortly"....Less than 5 minutes later I was called to receptionist desk & in front of a full waiting room was told...."The dentist does NOT accept this insurance"...You will need to call one of our other dentists in the group at a different location that accepts this insurance to make an appointment" EXCUSE ME??? Its apparent your office screwed up.. & if the insurance is not accepted with this group in 1 office, why the hell would it be accepted at a different office with the same group??? Also, WHY wouldnt the desk clerk call the other office to verify that office did accept a PPO/Medicare insurance plan.....

They told me my insurance doesn't pay for filling. I call my insurance co. to verify my coverage and was told that I am covered for filling with a $25. copayment. I called VIP for an explanation as to why they told me my insurance would not pay for the filling. I am told I did not get a filling (which I requested), but instead I got what is called a "build up". So my request for extraction if the tooth couldn't be filled was ignored and they did what they wanted to do and bill me for the complete procedure. If I am paying for a service, I expect that exact service. I am very angry.

I sincerely appreciated the time he gave to me personally to determine the best course of care for my situation. On the day of surgery, Dr. Mitchell discussed the treatment plan again. I went to Mosaic to get my 4 wisdom teeth removed. They stated it was going to be a very painful…read moreand rough recovery because how impacted and deep the roots are. I even attached my X-ray to show you guys how a nerve was running right near my bottom left wisdom tooth and my doc told me it's going to be a challenge but he can do it. He successful removed all 4 and sent me home with zero pain medicine other than ibuprofen. My husband called back for me later that evening stating I was crying and in pain needed something strong. (Side note: I've NEVER taken ANY pain medicine before, I've never had a surgery or broken a bone.) My doc gave me two days worth of Vicodin. They did NOT work and made me extremely nauseous because I couldn't eat anything. I called back two days later in tears wondering when I would feel some relief and receptionist said my doc wanted to see me because he's worried about infection. I go in and there is no infection and no dry sockets. He said I will be in pain for a COUPLE of weeks and that it's going to take some time. And prescribed me Percocet (lowest dose, two days worth) They helped tremendously, I was able to eat and sleep for two days. I called back to get a refill because I'm still in SO much pain when it wears off. When the receptionist answered and I asked for a refill she said "Um ma'am you know it's really concerning that you need another refill, normally people don't need pain medicine a week after surgery". She legit made it sound like I was abusing prescription. Meanwhile I'm in tears while I'm typing this because of how much pain I'm in. Every time I called to ask if this much pain it normal they always made me feel this way. I don't understand, they legit told me that my wisdom teeth were some of the worst impacted teeth they have seen and it was really hard to get them out. I wouldn't recommend them for your wisdom teeth cause once they have your money they don't care how you feel afterwards. They make you feel crazy for being in pain and just wanting some relief. Well the receptionist don't care at least.
