Lets put it all together. I moved to Florida with directions from my NY dentist to have a fractured tooth extracted. There was only 1/2 of the tooth in place and it needed to be taking care quickly. As we all know, no move from one state to another goes smoothly. Before I knew it, I had been here for nearly 2 months. I awoke in terrible pain, swollen face, red and hot to the touch. I am a retired Nurse, I knew it was infected. Dr. Jason Blundell DDS , came out high on my list of possible Oral surgeons. I research all my doctors. I was lucky they were able to see me the following day. I rinsed with salt water, ice packed my face , 10 mins. on 20 mins. off, over the counter anti-inflammatory. I showed up less swollen,but in pain, and very tired from the lack of sleep. I was cared for both office and medical staff the minute I came through the door. No wasting time in this office. Paperwork completed, x-rays done and the next thing I know, I am in the chair. Vital signs taken and after an introduction, the Dr. is already looking at my tooth. He went over everything he was going to do, fit me into the next open appointment, my pain instructions and my Rx. in hand, antibiotic started within 20 minutes of leaving the office. Because I was knew to the state, I had not yet seen my PCP ( Primary Care Physician) so general anesthesia was not going to be possible. Of course I worried about a molar being put with Novocaine, I didn't want to feel anything. My gum was treated with Lidocaine gel topically, and not just swish 2 seconds, and start the Novocaine. The swab was left in place for several minutes, 2 of the 3 staff members left the room. No rush going on here. Instead, I was asked if it was working, and then tested to see if the area was numbed. I was asked through out the entire procedure, are you ok? Am I hurting you ? Do you have pain? I never felt the Novocaine, and was given a good dose. I was done with my procedure and out the door by about 10:30 a.m. I went to my Pharmacy, picked up my Rx. Was home relaxing in very short order. Followed all my printed instructions, ice packs, gauze pads etc. Told what abnormal things to watch for. My face was completely pain free, Novocaine slowly wore off by 6 p.m. I slept well and was called the next morning for my post op check and to schedule follow up visit. I was going about my normal daily activities second day post op. No pain, no swelling, gauze pads done by mid afternoon, no bleeding. What could anyone ask for. Excellent work, caring and kind staff and highly skill doctor. I have found my oral surgeon, and would refer patients to him without bias. We are lucky to have this group in our area. Bravo!!! This office has the most amazing people. I have never been treated so kindly and helped so much as Dr. Bashar Adeinat, Sam, Alexa, Carolyn and Daylin have helped me this week. I have T.N. and alot of doctors won't even touch me. I woke up with newborn size head on the side of my face and was in extreme pain. They got me in right away, took me to the back and got me as pain free as they could, and included a nap (i was so greatful for the pain free nap) before they fixed the problem right away. I was so emotional and they didnt mind, was so kind, hell im emotional now just thinking about how extraordinary this group of wonderful people are. Dr. Hernandez and her team are the absolute best. After calling multiple other offices, I was able to speak with Tracy at Coastal Jaw. Tracy made me feel better over the phone, working me in as soon as she could. In less than a week, they had me in for consultation and extraction of 3 wisdom through IV sedation, while other facilities told me March was the earliest. I had to have a tooth removed but I had complications from radiation treatment making a more unpredictable outcome. I brought my daughter in for wisdom teeth Extraction. Being in the dental field myself my expectation's are probably higher then most.
