I came in nervous due to past nerve damage, but my root canal on molar 15 was completely pain-free--just very numb. One of the coolest touches? They gave me special glasses connected to an iPad so I could watch a movie during the procedure. It made the time fly by. Accessibility and cleanliness are clearly priorities here: there are two ADA parking spots to the left of the front stairs, and the restroom is spotless and even stocked with mouthwash. I am not one to write reviews but I believe this experience warrants a review! I was extremely nervous to schedule my root canal as it was my first one. I am so happy that the Dr that was recommended was not available because Dr.Sainsbury was that amazing! He was so kind and reassuring. He answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. As for the actual procedure it was a piece of cake! He numbed me really well. I had minor discomfort the day after but that is to be expected after any procedure. I would recommend Dr.Sainsbury to anyone needing dental work. Just an overall great experience. read more

April 13, 2021: I needed another root canal, so I returned to the ONLY place for me. Dr. Kan is gone, but I saw Dr. Kushner, who is fantastic. She started the root canal, noticed my tooth might not be salvaged and stopped. She repaired it as best she could so I would be able to enjoy myself on my 5 day trip to TN which I had planned before losing my molar. She wisely knew that the tooth might have to come out, and spared me the expense of a total root canal. Her staff is also incredible. They got me in and out quickly - professional & friendly. Unfortunately, today I called to tell them I will not return for the root canal to be finished. My dentist told me this morning that he cannot save the tooth, and he'll extract it next week. I went to Endodontist Associates because my regular dentist said I needed a root canal and I preferred to have a specialist do it. The absolute nicest nurse assistant named Kaitlyn greeted me and took me back for 360° 3-D x-rays. Then the dentist came in and he was also extremely friendly and comforting. He tested my tooth and the teeth around it for sensitivity to cold. And after explaining everything to me, he said I did not need a root canal after all. Needless to say, I left their office with a giant smile on my face, feeling very good that I had come across such honest, kind, thorough professionals. Very ethical and up front. Had a root canal that went bad for the 2nd time (don't let dentists do root canals!). Saw that I needed an oral surgeon and immediately referred and called to get me in the same day as I was in extreme pain. Had my first root canal this week. Dr. Haller and his assistant Intissar were both very attentive and professional throughout the 2-hour treatment, explaining every required step in detail, answering all related questions. Their level of care was exceptional. As a welcome distraction, they provided virtual glasses allowing me to watch a recent movie during the procedure. As a result of their excellent care, there was zero swelling and minimal discomfort, easily addressed with Advil and Tylenol. I highly recommend them. read more

I am in extreme pain and suffering right now because William Sainsbury performed a root canal on an infected tooth today and then refused to prescribe pain medication afterwards. I told him before the root canal that my face felt like it was burning with pain. Now it hurts even worse and I am being ignored like I'm a drug seeking junkie. This was my first and last time going to endodontic associates. Edit to respond back- I have a mouth full of dental work that I have had done over the past 10 years and every single time I've had an invasive procedure, I was furnished with a small amount of light painkillers. Probably less than a total of 100 pills over 10+ years. The last time I was prescribed anything was a couple years ago and I have a verifiable record of using pain meds responsibly. However when I asked William to prescribe a very small very light dose of pain meds for the excruciating pain I was feeling, I was told some generic lines just like what you said in your reply that "it's for the patient's benefit" that you don't provide relief. You say 24 hours or more of pain is to be expected and you use that as your reason for NOT helping? He also said I could call the emergency number when I got home if it was too painful. I called the emergency line and nobody called me back for over 3 hours. My pharmacy was closed by then. I could have been getting some relief and resting, instead I was trying to chase you people around. I never did receive any help as I was told I would. Also the way William spoke to me was unacceptable. It was the most disrespected I've ever been by someone in the medical field. He couldn't give me any reason why I would not be receiving relief, only that "99% of patients at Endodontic Associates don't receive pain meds after their procedure". Then he actually got up and walked out of the room in the middle of the conversation without saying goodbye. Dr. Larisa Kushnir took care of me for two different root canals.She is very good, answers all questions, explains everything very well. Easy to converse with and easy on the eyes! Great personality. Her dental assistant/tech is also great and enjoyed conversation at downtime waiting for numbing to kick in, etc. Its easy to see why I returned as a repeat customer. Follow up check later is no charge, and they seamlessly worked with my insurance company to quickly ascertain my portion of the charges. I went to the facility in Westchase on Sheldon. It is new and awe inspiring, modern, state of the art. Even a 3D digital image system is on site when necessary, and put on CD for my regular DDS. Staff is happy to work there, that means a lot to the patients about the culture of the practice. Never met any of the other doctors and don't really need to at this time. read more

This organization was a referral from my trusted dentist. I was very scared to receive a root canal as my one prior experience was miserable. It was 25 years ago and the memory and pain still reside in my mind. Anyhow... these guys were amazing. So comforting and empathetic it immediately took me off the cliff. Dr. Haller is my HERO!!! It all started when my regular dentist cut an old crown off. Nine full days of excruciating pain. Thought there may have been an infection. No. I called Endo Assoc (not sure if I was lucky or they keep an open appt for emergencies) but they got me in THAT DAY!!! Dr. Haller examined me and determined I needed TWO root canals. Argh. If you live near the Clearwater area, there is no need to look elsewhere for an endodontist. Quality and professionalism does not begin to describe what a great experience I have during each visit. I went in this morning for a tooth that flared up out of no where over the weekend. On a Monday morning, I called and left a message at 7:00am, they called me back about at 7:30 and got me in to see Dr. Haller at 9:15 (they open at 8:00am). Since the pain was getting worse and worse as the hours went by, I was happy to have them do whatever it took to fix the problem. I needed a root canal and they went right to work. As I said, professionalism, efficiency, empathy and a whole slew of other words are appropriate. Each time I have been there over the 10-15 years I have been a patient, they continue to impress. She and her assistant Wendy were very attentive and explained what would be happening and what to expect every step of the way. This office is about as terrible as they come. The staff is very unorganized and screwed up my wife's appointment several times. Once we finally got in the doctor was not only demeaning to us but seemed to be rude to his staff as well. We could hear him raising his voice at one of the girls right outside of the room. He made us extremely uncomfortable the entire visit. When we asked about our options for treatment, he laughed in our face and talked down to us like we were stupid for asking him questions. The environment is hostile and unpleasant. 10/10 recommend going elsewhere. The doctor is a quack. read more

We have been sitting in the waiting room for almost an hour. My wife is in agony. We made an emergency appointment and have watched several patients go in before her that came in later. They either don't understand the word pain or the word emergency. I've asked several times when she will be seen and keep being put off. They say they have several associates and are preparing a room. How long does that take? I'm sitting here watching my wife suffer. Finally, she was called in. A root canal was performed. When she came out, she expressed that everything was good. The doctor and nurse were very personable and professional. She was happy. It was a shame she had to sit there and suffer. I honestly cannot give them a great review because of what I witnessed. I may be partial and probably overly concerned. In this day and age it simply isn't okay because it ended well. The office staff needs training. They should witness the positive bedside manner of their doctors and learn to be at least as empathetic as the doctor and nurses were with my wife. read more

I can't rate the Dr. because we never got that far. After a few minutes and a two assistants to get X-rays done which I had to participate in as well. I don't know if the equipment is antiquated if the assistants just inept. After a while I decided that I don't want them working on my mouth if they can't even take an X-ray. Almost painless with Doctor Korn and Anna trying their best to make me feel no pain. They both were super. The staff and facility were also first class. Do not go to this place!!!! We went for my daughter's root canal. Of course, they confirm insurance first and told me all was fine after 2 times there, over almost a month. Then suddenly almost a month after treatment they hit my credit card for another $550 without me knowing! I found out they never even put it to billing after telling me to my face at the office they checked the coverage and only charged me the first time I was there. After calling them I was given a huge attitude by the girl who does billing saying our insurance was terminated (not true) and supposedly she tried to call me. I told her that no claim was even submitted by them per my insurance company. Two other dentists, at different offices, finished the work on her in between this and had no trouble with our insurance and I asked why the girl at the desk told me everything was fine when I specifically asked the 2nd time I went there even. She then said, while rudely yelling over me, we aren't getting anywhere so I'll resubmit the claim bye, and hung up on me!!! Instead of being professional and apologizing and saying there must have been a mix up let me check the insurance with you and resubmit!!! She never even confirmed the insurance info, before hanging up on me, which should have been common sense and the first thing she should have asked if you saw a problem with payment.
