I've now had two root canals at Forbes Endodontics. I complimented Dr. Forbes on not only his skill, but his obvious competence. Getting these two root canals was less painful and less of an ordeal than getting the crowns that go on them! I'd also like to note how pleasant and friendly the rest of the staff are. The reason I was not able to be sedated was because I had an adverse reaction to the second IV medication that was given after the first one did not sedate me. I believe I had no sedation because of an adverse allergic reaction- read more

They do NOT sedate you. They only give you halcion pill and maybe some xanax or Valium type medication in IV.(it would have been more effective for myself to take 2.5mgs + of my Xanax orally- ) whatever they use for "sedation" I don't even know how they can call it "light sedation" - I told them this is WHY I chose to go to them to be SEDATED. I was not comfortable at all and I regret thinking them saying if you pay 2k we will sedate you, that I would be ok and sedated since I paid. I PAID AND THEY DID NOT- sedate me to a point where I could even relax- they said they even gave me 4 times the dose they usually give people. They give you an IV of something that doesn't even help my anxiety - I don't know why that was "surprising" to them when I explained I have a very high tolerance to being sedated and I usually just climb on the operating table myself after being put under major sedation- no one took me seriously or informed me that I wasn't being put under, or making me comfortable- it was miserable for me I cried the whole time in pain and monitored and gave instructions for my son to be treated for his medical condition as well during all of this since I was NOT sedated (obviously i was fully coherent if I could still do dose calculation for my child and I stuck someone how to give his insulin and how much- - he said it would be around 2k to be sedated.......and thats what I paid around 2.5k and it was miserable I was in pain and crying through the whole SURGERY FOR ROOT CANAL- I was NOT sedated and unless you expect to just have shots in your gum to be numbed that's as much "help" with pain and anxiety that you will get here. Probably ok for normal patients; do NOT recommend for anyone with dental anxiety and low threshold for pain tolerance. I wish they would have been honest and told me even though you are paying over 2.5k we aren't really sedating you- and you will be fully awake and we aren't sedating you- even the laughing gas would have helped a tiny bit more than whatever solution they gave in my IV. I would NOT recommend this place if you have a low pain tolerance and have bad anxiety- if you are looking for a dentist to sedate you for surgery this is NOT a place that REALLY sedates you or even helps you be comfortable. It was horrible and the pain is insane and the pharmacy is giving issues to pick up pain medication for after the torture of a procedure- Doctors nice and nurses are nice but if you are looking for a sedation dentist this is NOT it. You will be left with numbing shots that don't fully work and feeling pain when drilling and burning - if you don't need sedation and help with anxiety and pain management then the dentist office is fine. Even if they call it "sedation" dentistry they apparently can not or do not sedate patients that came to them for that sole reason to be able to get through a root canal. They don't sedate you. Definitely a regular dentist office. Also I had to put this surgery off from Monday to Wednesday so I could be "sedated"- they need to take the word "sedate" out of their vocabulary I feel like I got promised I would be sedated had to put it off more days for the guy To come in to "sedate" me. I was not sedated- we talked the entire time- I feel lied to and would have never went here if I knew they we just telling me they were going to sedate me and book the appointment make me pay for it- and put myself through this physically and mentally I sought out this place so I would BE put OUT FOR SURGERY- "sedated" this DID NOT HAPPEN- bait and switch - in pain and pissed - don't make my mistake don't believe them they Don't "sedate" you. read more

The Dentist was very rude. Over the phone is told me one price told me come in the office took a x ray. Told me this story that I need the root canal deep in the teeth it makes a circle it need extra treatment and we going need charge you for xrays this and that and the third. I was reference by a other doctor so they had all the information. I told him you told me one price on the phone and you didn't tell me the other stuff. Sounds like a snake oil salesmen. Now I know why he permanently closed the spring hill office. Hey doc maybe it's time to retire. read more

This office was amazing for me today. I am so glad I was referred to them. I called because I had a lot of pain from a crown and my dentist said to just give it some time it was being sensitive for now. I called Forbes Endodontics and they told me I could come in today. I turned my car around and went into Forbes Endodontics. The office was very welcoming, so nice, explained everything they were doing. They showed me what they saw so I understood and knew they were doing. They have great technology. They did a 3-d scan. I have had a previous jaw surgery so it was necessary to do a 3d scan to ensure the screws from my jaw surgery were not too close to the tooth root. Luckily they were able to help me and did a root canal today. The procedure they did today was painless. They ensured I had no pain the whole time and continued to make sure I was ok. I was so relieved to find an office that could get me in right away, knew what they were doing, and were caring. I would recommend anyone needing an endodontic to goto Forbes Endodontics. read more

I have really bad dental anxiety and at no time did I feel uncomfortable or have to cut my visit short. I cannot give them enough stars or praise. I had an apicoectomy performed to correct a problem with an old root canal from 20+ years ago. Dr. Forbes and his staff were excellent. The best part of all was that it was pain free. Even after the anesthetic wore off I only had to use a couple of Ibuprofen and that was just to be proactive. No pain afterward and very little swelling. read more

Here I was, at 9:30 am in a dental office, a day before I was to leave for a week out-of-town business trip, being told that I needed a root canal. I never imagined that this procedure would get done before I was to leave the next day. Miracle of miracles, I was told to head to Dr. Forbes office that morning.
