It was a complete disaster from start to finish. * Property Damage: The crew did zero prep work to protect our property. They walked over crushed glass directly on our custom limestone stairs and pool stepping stones, causing permanent damage. * Incompetent Repairs: They retiled the hot tub without refilling and pressure-testing it to confirm if the leak was actually fixed. Unsurprisingly, it still leaks. When I raised this with the owner, Cris, his "solution" was telling us to pour Fix-A-Leak into the tub--and then told us to double the dose when his suggestion failed. * Unprofessional Workmanship: They forced an incorrect light into the socket and sealed it with epoxy. Our new repair crew had to use pliers and a shop vac just to undo the mess. The tile thinset used was applied so poorly that dark spots are now visible through our transparent tile, requiring a total replacement as it is a complete eyesore. We have had multiple reputable pool companies out since, and they ALL confirmed the tile job was incredibly sloppy, used the wrong grout, and looked a decade old. We are now spending an additional $10K to undo and redo Baird's work. Cris has expressed to us on a few different occasions that he is not willing to fix our spa, in our last email exchange he told me that, "he is not married to this spa." When they do, they shoot the messenger and protect the guilty. There is one woman lap swimmer who nearly everybody is afraid of. She is as mean as a snake. She has been lying to people about me repeatedly. She called me an asshole to my face in front of others, for no reason. She has been pissed off because when people ask to share my lane, if they have plastic paddles I ask them not to use them because I have been hit hard by good swimmers and it hurts. You can look it up- injuries and pain from plastic paddle hits in lap pools is a known problem. Yesterday an obviously competitive swimmer asked to share my lane. At first I said ok but then I saw he had plastic paddles so I asked him not to use them and I told him why. I was polite and so was he. He went to another lane. Next I saw the woman talking with the lifeguard- this is what she does- she befriends the female lifeguards then manipulates them into coming after me. Next, a guy in the middle lane starts talking loudly for all to hear saying "everybody has to share". He too obviously was upset at me. I have never spoken to the guy. I think he may have also been manipulated by this terrible woman. I corrected him. I said that I have no problem sharing, but I have a problem with the plastic paddles because they hurt when people hit you with them. He accused me of poor arm control, which was a lie. When sharing I always stay far on my side, and I never swam with this guy. Then I see the lifeguard standing near me with the assistant pool manager, who until recently, I thought was a friend. They were whispering. I said "Hey, come here. I want to talk to you about what has been happening here. Only the assistant director came over. I told him exactly what had happened. He told me that I cannot ask people not to use plastic paddles. Today I got a call from the pool director. Before he could say anything, I said- I am going to tell you what really happened. I told him the true story. He said that was not what he was told by multiple people. Clearly, the others were lying- probably repeating the lies the old woman told them about me. Before that, I offered to never occupy an entire lane, to demonstrate that I have no problem sharing. And I said if anybody asked to share with plastic paddles I will give up my lane and share with somebody else. And I said if that is not good enough, you can give me my money back and I will never go to your evil pool again. So that is the situation. I have more horror stories about the Lakeway Swim Center lap pool but thats enough for now. The best example I can give of what Lakeway Swim Center management and staff, and some lap swimmers, did to me recently, is PUBLIC LYNCHING. Yes, you read that right. They sent a professional to my house and later gave me a quote. I accepted the quote and after that.... Radio Silence. After a few days I called them and they said they would send someone that Thursday. Well...No one showed up. I call again, and this time, it's rescheduled to Friday. Friday comes, a guy shows up almost at 5PM. I could imediately see he was not prepared to work on what was agreed on the quote. And sure enough....He has no idea what needs to be done, never been briefed on what is needed and after looking at my pool hardware, of course, tells me he has no equipment needed to work on my pool. Reschedules for next Tuesday, which is today. Yep... You guessed it..... No one showed up again. No calls, no texts, crickets... Don't bother because I don't want to work with you anymore. I've been a customer for couple years with their pool cleaning service side - thus I decided to use them for my pool equipment needs... sloppy work - untimely delivery - and show up times are at their discretion and not consistent I've never been so disappointed and frustrated over service and installation matters I purchased three (3) pieces of equipment: New filtration system, New Variable speed pump and New salt cell system - this is a lot of money spent, on top of that is installation pricing, averages $500 per piece = total of $1500 - ridiculous you would think with my purchase of all new equipment that my installation needs would have been a source of focus and client satisfaction The installation of the salt cell system has been a bad experience- the pics don't lie The tech spilt blue pvc glue on my concrete equipment pad - left and didn't clean it up The business hours are 9am - 4pm Mon - Friday- good luck with having any issues addressed before or after these times, even if it's at the fault of company's employees I communicated my dissatisfaction via phone and texts - Consumer beware UPDATE- after several years I have chosen to severe services for pool cleaning, equipment maintenance and potential new purchases with this company. Customer satisfaction matters and is always key, thus Customer retention. Albeit the job is done now, to get there should not have required so much negative energy and frustration.
