After the purchase of a Qashqai from West Way Nissan in Sept 2016, with less than 9000 miles of mileage, it was only about 4 to 6 weeks before the Automatic CVT Gearbox started shaking, juddering and showing signs of failing. It was returned to West Way Nissan Wolverhampton, and they said by changing the transmission gearbox oil to longer lasting oil it was fixed. ?? Thus one can assume upon purchase from NISSAN West Way, they had put the incorrect oil in the gear box. UK Nissan will not stand by their technology and give customers a 10 year warranty on their gear boxes like the USA. This gearbox has now failed completely 3 years later at less than 33000 miles. Nissan has lost our loyalty as customers. .... No car should have to be potentially written off after just 33000 miles due to failing technology. read more
