Common theme here with Four Season Sunrooms of Raleigh…read more Bob Gustavson came to our house and we signed a contract on 12/14/2024 for a Four Season Sunroom and a deck. Bob explained that the work should commence in April of 2025 and be completed by end of April 2025. Total job of $65K (10x18 deck and about 13x15 sunroom, just for reference in case anyone wants to know) $18K down payment. Initial framing and demolition started relatively on-time on April 14, 2025. (The workers left the job site a mess, concrete junks left out, 6 full concrete bags left in the driveway on a pallet, dirt piles left in yard that as of June 28th has still yet to be cleaned-up. Grass is now grown over the dirt piles.) End of April came and that is when the delays, lies and excuses began. Upon inquiry to Bob Gustavson, I was given excuse after excuse. Turns out at the end of April, the material for the sunroom had not yet even been ordered?? Another 3-4 weeks. Throughout the month of May no activity was done on the project. Despite continued calls to Bob and empty promises and continued convenient excuses of "rain" is causing delays. We are still (as of June 28th) wondering if the sunroom portion of our project has even been delivered. We continue to be lied to and hearing Bob say that the workers will come out and once they start, the project will be completed in two weeks. Friday, June 6th, Bob tells me the workers will come out first thing Monday morning June 9th. The workers come out on Monday, work for about 1 hour and then leave and do not see them for the rest of the week. You can see from pictures, when the workers started the deck, they took off the siding and now the house is exposed to the elements. Very shoddy work The week of June 23rd, the workers finally come out to start the deck (which should have been the easiest part of the project) and to our astonishment and my wife's disdain, the wrong Trex decking was put down. We had ordered the Biscayne (which was a higher quality product) and Bob Gustavson took it upon himself to order and install the Pebble Grey (two graded lower quality) When we questioned Bob about why the wrong Trex decking was installed he claimed the other color was no longer available. I called Trex and that was a lie, it is readily available. So Bob took it upon himself without consulting with us to install inferior product. The product we chose was written into our contract. So right there, that is the kind of person you are dealing with if you contract with Bob Gustavson and Four Seasons Sunrooms of Raleigh. Bob offered a "discount" for the decking debacle, but it was a low ball offer to try and appease us. Not acceptable. Buyer beware when dealing with Bob Gustavson and Four Seasons Sunrooms of Raleigh. It is obvious that this company has some cash flow issues. Hence the reasons for the constant delays, they cannot work because they need to wait and get money from another client to finish jobs. Bob even admitted to me via text at 12:59pm on Friday, June 27th that "I'm Broke I can't afford it" when asked for a larger discount in regards to the Trex decking debacle. As of this review, the sunroom is not complete, the deck is not complete the yard is a mess.

THANK YOU RALEIGH DECK & SCREEN PORCH BUILDER FOR THE AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more My wife recently asked Raleigh Deck & Screen Porch Builder to quote us on a screened-in deck. We live in the Oakwood neighborhood of Raleigh, which is about 1.5 miles from downtown. We thought that RALEIGH Deck & Screen Porch Builder would be a logical company to reach out to since we live in the township of RALEIGH. RALEIGH Deck & Screen Porch Builder "respectfully declined" our inquiry. Moreover, they were kind enough to explain why. Vic (the owner) told us that his company "can't risk being stopped with people jumping on our truck." He also told us that even "before all of this mess" homeowners near us refuse to keep their garage doors open. I feel like such a fool! Here I am, taking daily walks with my wife through the neighborhood and walking by multiple construction projects, having no idea what really goes on. I thought I knew the area well, but I should take the word of Vic, who once played softball nearby. Vic also explained that we "live by the biggest section 8 housing complex in North Carolina." I really appreciate this highly relevant piece of information as it directly pertains to my screened-in deck. Some might wonder why Raleigh Deck & Screen Porch Builder didn't simply and succinctly decline the work. I for one appreciate a detailed explanation as to why this company does not want to accept my money in exchange for its services. If any of my fellow residents of Raleigh are looking to put in a screened-in deck, definitely reach out to Raleigh Deck & Screen Porch Builder to determine whether you should go forward with the project or just set fire to your house.

Our friends highly recommended Nick and his team and we are so happy with the result. Now when our friends and family visit we all just naturally gravitate to that room. The design is very functional, we can see the backyard, without being bit by mosquitoes and the room is beautiful. The thing I like is that Nick provides ideas that helped us picture the result in our minds and then we selected the options we wanted... tiled floors, coffered walls, skylights, storage, etc. etc., but the fine construction details are what really makes it a special new part of our house. I couldn't be happier with the results.

If you have a landscaping project, you want to go with Josh at Dreamscapes. I revamped my entire…read moreyard and have gotten tons of compliments; even people stopping their car in the street to run up the driveway and ask who did the installation. I moved into my house 2 years ago, and some previous owners were an older couple who loved to garden. There were huge flower beds all over the yard with lots of things in there. Before they sold, however, these beds were unattended and started to go crazy with growth and weeds, as did the grass around it. With a new baby on the way for me, there was no way I could manage keeping up everything, and I wanted it handled right, so I called Josh and had him come out to take a look. Josh talked over my goals for a whole-yard revamp and combined my asks with his extensive experience to come up with a plan on how to remove the beds, re-grade some of the yard, and install extra drainage to make everything look good. Although 2020 and 2021 were not the best times for materials (in many industries, including landscaping) which delayed the project a while, Josh kept us up to date with his progress until his team was ready to install. The install went smoothly over the course of a few days, and Josh was there to help with guidance on watering to keep everything growing correctly. He stopped by every few days to check on things (although he didn't need to) and help me adjust watering times and sprinkler placement. Even now, weeks after the installation, he's still super responsive to my questions and has helped me keep everything looking good through the summer. If you want a landscaping project done right with a company that cares about long-term success for your yard, Dreamscapes is the way to go. I really can't recommend them enough.
