I have the worst habit of forgetting my keys in my car... and I don't have a spare copy so I end up having to call a locksmith. One day I decided, no more! (Well, technically my dad nagged me). I looked up the best key copying place on Yelp and it lead me to West Valley Security! The gentlemen who helped me was very friendly. He was extremely quick in making a copy. He told me to try it on my car and come back to let him know if it works okay. If not, he can readjust the key. I told him it was a little difficult to turn the lock so he made me another new copy that worked beautifully. He let me keep both copies, the other one free of charge. What don't these playas from West Valley Security do?!?...They have a central office, onsite locksmiths, and plenty of equipment for any lock job. I recently purchased a new place and used these guys on 3 separate occasions: Job #1: Re-Key Door Knob ~~~Instead of buying a brand new door knob, I simple took off my lock, brought it to the West Valley Office and they re-pined the lock for $15.~~~ Job #2: Mailbox Key ~~~My dumb HOA did not re-key my mailbox and lost the key from the previous owner, had these guys come pick lock and drop in a new lock. Onsite visits are only $65 and then you pay for the lock and some minor labor.~~~ Job #3: Storage Unit Door ~~~HOA dropped the ball on this too and I had these guys come out, pick the lock on the door and install a new lock and knob~~~ Like I said before what can't these guys do, if you have a small job you can take items to their store location or they also do onsite visits. We walked in and looked around for a bit. I approached the front counter and we were NEVER greeted, asked if we could be helped, told, "Be with you in a minute.", nothing. Finally we asked, "Are you the only one here." and the young guy kept working on his lock project and responded, "Yeah, what do you guys want?" The answer is nothing, now. I needed a key duplicated at this place. The guy had a pretty good attitude and tried his best to find a matching blank for me, but wasn't able to find one. So I ordered one online and went back to him. He cut the key for me for $2. Works great. As for the comment about poor service, I found the guy to be pretty down to earth. I went to West Valley Security the other day because I needed to get a copy made of the key to my CBR600. Their prices are very affordable and they had lots of key chains, safes and just about any other door or lock related accessory you could imagine. It was very cold so I had come in my car and they obviously couldn't test the key in my bikes ignition on the spot. The first copy came out looking identical to the original key but for some reason didn't work when I tried it at home. I came back on my bike this time and they were happy to do a re cut and kept tweaking it until it worked. I am very happy with the level of service I received. read more

Had an issue with a lock at home a few weeks ago and had West Valley fix it at a reasonable rate. A few days ago I had an issue with a barrel lock on my work truck. I drove over to West Valley and they had it unlocked within a few minutes! I've also had them make me some spare keys which work perfectly. 5 Stars! I called West Valley when the 2 other places that had posted Sat hours had closed early with no warning. I had pulled the cylinders out and needed them rekeyed to close the doors of our new house. Walked in at 1:59 on Sat. They close at 2. The guy was waiting for me and and never appeared annoyed at being kept past closing. I had 5 cylinders to rekey and they were not straightforward and I didn't have the keys for them. The prices were far better than the places I had planned to take them to. He did such a great job that I scheduled him to come rekey the front door. And those prices were much better too. read more
