Then they took camera photos claiming they have to even tho I wanted just the cleaning and restate that multiple times. After that they came back and wanting to do just a few x rays. Ok, I suppose I should have been more firm. It did look like they just wanted an extra $$. That was the first red flag. They suggested deep cleaning - sure, even tho that was questionable. The first appointment was uncomfortable and painful on many levels. Injections were the most painful ones I've ever gotten. Treatment was rushed - under 25mins. Water was spraying everywhere. Cleaning itself was quite painful despite numerous anesthetic injections. My neck was in pain afterwards. I mean just horrible experience. I told S, she's not doing any of that again. She started giving excuses - I'm not interested in empty excuses. I told her I'll reschedule with someone else for the left side - after that I'm done with this office. Oh did I mention reggaeton and r&b music was blasting loudly all this time. Seriously?!

I have never had a cavity in my life but it had been a while since my last cleaning so I trusted them. My friends convinced me to get a second opinion so I booked a consultation at a different dental office. The doctor there reviewed the same exact Xrays and said I have ZERO cavities - nothing at all to even fill. It is terrifying to put trust in a doctor who does not have your best interest at heart. Please avoid this place!

For example, when I first started my Invisalign treatment, she directly texted me a few times to make sure I was adjusting well. I've never texted a doctor before like that and usually find it hard to get every little question answered, so it was a nice change of pace from what I'm used to. She's also delicate when working inside your mouth and is good at communicating when there might be an uncomfortable moment. I'm very pleased with the results and would recommend her to anyone.

Because of my treatment plan, my dentist and oral surgeon together came up with a plan and my orthodontist has been doing an amazing job. Reassuring me, explaining things. However, I had this pretty bad pain on the right side of my mouth and wanted to get it checked out and also get a cleaning since it's relatively close to my job. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere of the office is very calming and tranquil. For people like me who are scared of the dentist, this was able to help relax my anxiety and nerves. I saw the dental hygienist at my scheduled appointment time. I forgot her name, but she was just absolutely amazing. Before she started the cleaning, she gave me a rundown of what she was going to do during and after the cleaning. She was also really easy to talk to and answered the many questions I had about my teeth. Once I was finished with the cleaning and seeing the dentist, I was escorted to the front reception area where GG assisted me with all of my questions about my insurance, etc. The one thing I really love about this place is that they are thorough and explain every detail to you. This is especially important for me because I have slim to none knowledge about how I should care for my teeth, and am pretty clueless when it comes to what I need to pay out of pocket. GG was great at assisted me with this. Lia , the other lady who sits at the front is also really helpful. I called a day after my cleaning and she was so patient with me and all the questions I had. Thank you so much Brite Dental for such a fantastic experience!

I totally trust her judgement and she cares about what is best for the patient and is very honest. Most importantly I left really feeling that my teeth and mouth are healthy. Unfortunately, our experience overall with Diamond Braces, especially their Hell's Kitchen location and Dr. Schwalb has been terrible and disappointing on many levels. After our doctor's transition to Diamond Braces, direct oversight of my daughter's treatment noticeably decreased. Most appointments were handled almost entirely by dental assistants, with little to no involvement from the orthodontist whose expertise I had originally been referred to and signed up for. While assistants play an important role, orthodontic treatment is highly specialized, and the lack of consistent doctor supervision, especially when having been directly referred to him, was both obvious and concerning. Not only was it confusing, it also led to a decrease in the quality of the dental work, because of this decline, the treatment time was extended and we were charged for it. After treatment was "over", my daughter was given a permanent retainer which detached in less than 3 months. This was concerning in itself, but even more so given that her teeth had not been fully corrected and were still not in the proper position at the end of years long treatment. For a result that took longer than projected and extended months beyond the original estimated completion date, the outcome simply did not reflect the time, extra cost, or expectations set at the beginning. Overall, the process felt rushed at the end, loosely managed, and far less attentive than promised. I would strongly discourage patients seeking dental work to choose Dr.Schwalb and his new practice at Diamond Braces as it is more than often faulty, dismissive and careless.

I did Invisalign and from day one this place was a great experience. The staff remains consistent and by the time you've finished treatment, starts to feel like your orthodontics family. Karpov Orthodontics is ON TOP of their schedule and with how many doctors are always running behind these days, you'll come to endlessly appreciate it. Whenever I had a tight schedule or needed to change an appointment, they always accommodated. Their technology is very up to date as well and you notice that through every step of the process. On multiple occasions I was able to text in to change an appointment or ask questions. I confirmed my appointments by text and their advanced teeth mold scanner things in the office made everything super quick. 9/10 times I was in and out within 10 minutes. Never in a rushed way though, they always took as much time as needed to thoroughly address my questions and concerns. I never had an appointment canceled, delayed, or rescheduled by the office. On the few occasions Dr. Karpov wasn't available, they had another orthodontist who came in to cover. She wasn't quite as amazing as Dr. Karpov but still great. They've just expanded to a beautiful new office that continues to be incredibly convenient for me downtown. Oh and yeah, I walked in looking like a vampire one year ago and now my teeth lookin hella fineeee. If you trynna look like a hottie, hit up Dr. Karpov. I highly recommend this place and really don't have anything bad to say. It's been consistently great over the year I did treatment here.
