I just looked in my account and there was an annual fee charged and I had signed up mid December 24…read moreon a monthly basis. I called the manager, Parker, who stated the annual fee charge automatically kicked in during the second month of membership, even if it is a monthly membership, and the annual fee kicks in automatically at the beginning of that second month to sync all memberships to the same date. When I asked the reason for the annual membership fee, Parker said it was to keep the monthly fees at $15 per month otherwise it would be the more expensive monthly fee of $20 (lol, 49 divided by 12 is $4.08 -----very misleading). I called back after looking at the website, as I could not access the contract no where does it indicate there is an annual fee after two months. Classic memberships begin at $15 and PF Black Card® memberships begin at $24.99, billed monthly. Memberships may include 12-month commitment. State and local taxes may apply. Subject to an annual fee of $49. Prices may vary depending on location. Services and perks subject to availability and restrictions. Must be at least 18 years old to enroll, or 13-17 with parent/guardian. State and local restrictions on tanning frequency with PF Black Card® memberships apply. Participating locations only. Locations independently owned and operated. See home club for details. Was traveling through and popped into the closest Planet Fitness I could find. By far one of my…read morefavorite locations. Very large compared to the ones I frequent and very clean. Multiple people actively cleaning while I was working out and the place reflected that. The place was very busy however when I went but could just be because of the New Year and people wanting to better themselves which I am 100% supportive of. Unfortunately though I think that amount of people made it difficult to find available lockers at least in the men's locker room. Overall it was a great time and good location.

Trained here for a bit in private sessions with rob. He referred to his students as "clients" which…read morekind of put me off. You aren't getting anywhere near the level of training you should for how much you pay. Mostly just pad work and his technique teaching was just alright. Rob also claimed to have actual combat experience but being involved for several years i could easily sniff out that the guy didn't have that many fights under him. Seemed pretty cocky with little to back it up. I couldn't find a tapalogy page or anything of him online so that should of been my sign to run for the hills. He also doesn't really try to connect with his students or make an effort to get to know them, kind of just robotic teaching which makes it much less enjoyable. Look, if your trying to just get a good workout in, this might be okay for you. But with his highly priced hourly rates your better off finding a recreational gym and just hitting a punching bag. If you want to learn actual boxing or MMA look in the complete opposite direction. You will not learn how to actually defend yourself here, you will just get yourself hurt. This is a cardio kickboxing gym so if that's what your looking for it's decent, otherwise, go somewhere else.

Okay, this place is AWESOME if you're looking to try something new. I'd always wanted to get into…read moreboxing, but didn't really know how -and I am so happy I chose TITLE Grand Rapids & Grandville (these particular locations have the same owner). The environment is welcome, inclusive, and you are guaranteed a great workout -I love that I'm also learning self-defence. The trainers are all incredibly helpful and lovely people. Finally, most helpful to me -all levels of ability are welcome. I'm handicap and not the most athletic person -but in this gym, all are cared for and all leave exhausted regardless of physical ability. I cannot recommend these particular branches (Grandville and Grand Rapids) enough.

It's a smaller pool in regards to less lanes, but I have never had to share a lane here. The life guards are all attentive and know their stuff. I love the large jacuzzis - more than one too - and connected closely to the locker room. The place is clean too. They keep it up well, and staff have always been friendly and professional. But I have been here several times and I enjoyed my swims experiences.

Great news for those in the Grandville area!!!... There's now a Planet Fitness nearby. If you are…read morenot into aquatics and would like a clean, safe alternative to this filthy place you have options. There are Planet Fitness gyms that are comparably equipped and MUCH cleaner than this place and a far better price in the area. However, if you're down with globs of hair in the cold showers, gum on the gym floor (that attracts local wildlife... okay, ants) for your kiddos to play in while you navigate wads of dirt, dust, and grime on the cardio and weight equipment, THIS is your gym! If you visit midday, ladies, please remember to abide by the unspoken rules.... matching outfits, full faces of makeup, and momsquad attitude. This place is reminiscent of the really cheap gym on Plainfield near 96 without staples to secure padding at a premium price. Given the lackadaisical attitude of management regarding health standards, staff does as much as they can but there is no focus by leadership to improve cleanliness. In short, go somewhere else AND save your money.
