Stay away from this dry cleaner. Worst service each time I try to support this local business now I must move to a new location. I have to spend time to re-iron my dress shirts. After the first few times I was thinking its not so bad but now it is not worth the money I pay for dry cleaning services. Customer service is horrible, they don't say hi. Dropped off one Long sleeve shirt, spoke with the gentleman at the counter for a few minutes about what I was requesting. Heavy starch, crease the sleeves and roll cuffs, When I picked up the shirt, no heavy starch and no crease in sleeves, lady attendant was rude and argued with me about what I had requested and was very hard to understand and was only interested in telling me that it would be an additional charge. She then proceeded to tell me it wouldn't be ready until Monday afternoon. She made no concession to help me and was downright rude. Told her I would pay for the shirt and never come back; she was perfectly fine that outcome. So, if you're looking for a Quality dry cleaner this isn't it. read more

I used this place before it sold. Started to see it going down hill then, but I had the worst experience with the rudest young woman who basically started yelling at me telling me she hated customers. All I asked was to have two items re done since it was obvious they were not done correctly the first time. This comment is the short version of her ranting and being so rude I could not believe it. Now. Iv been coming to this place for little over a year now never had any issues until one of my shirt was RIPPED from the back. I have been dealing with this situation for a month now & I was patient about it. You know mistakes happen as long as they can be handled professionally, I have no problem waiting. But When I had went to go pick up my shirt in the beginning if the month, there was a note left on it saying that it was ripped prior to being brought in. Now l always go over with the ladies what shirts are going to be starched and not starched. So . . . we awlays go through the shirts I would've noticed a rip in the shirt. Especially as big as it was. ( that should've been a Red flag right there ) But the owner Harry, had reached out to me saying He would give me store credit for the total amount of the shit. That " sometimes when the machines are too full the shirts can gets caught on the door" Which I was okay with as long as the issue was resolved and we would see if the shirt was salvageable. Customer service is number one in my books when it comes to any retail business. Doesn't matter how well they dry clean or launder items if they provide crappy service to their customers. My father is in his 70s and was picking up 4 oversized bedspreads that were laundered at this location.. He knew he needed help carrying these to the vehicle. He asked for help and the lady told him no. He asked to borrow the cart to wheel out the bedspreads to his truck so he can load them easily without hurting himself. The lady told him no. My father proceeded to carry the bed spreads to his vehicle and he tripped over the plastic covering and he fell. The lady just sat there and watched him, she didn't even check to see if he was ok. He was bleeding from his forearm and bled all over his truck, outside and inside. There's even blood on the plastic covering of one of the bed spreads. Paid over 200.00 dollars for this crap and she just sat there and watched him. I can't even find out who owns his business. I would assume it's the lady who sat there and watched him fall on the asphalt and bleed everywhere in their parking lot. read more

My wife took an outfit there about a week ago to have her outfit altered. She received a receipt with the cost of 17 dollars. We went to pick her outfit up and they changed the price to 60 dollars. We are not paying that price for thier service, we are paying what the receipt said, which is 17. We are getting the news involved, because this place is trying to rip us off. Just picked up my first set of laundered shirts from this place. It will be my last. Every shirt looks like it was ironed by a 5 year old. Multiple creases on the arms, broken buttons, shirts that don't look like an iron touched them. I will be going somewhere else- and taking all of these shirts with me to have them redone. Run away, run away and never return. I had no original intention to review this place but I have been "burning" to let people know what my take on this place is. I was in search of a new dry cleaner that was closer to my new residence. I took some dress shirts there and they did a really good job with them. I hit a really good dress pants sale in Denver and bought a few pairs. I took them here to get cleaned and pressed prior to wearing them. I pick them up and there is a note on the tag that says "stain". I questioned this and went on to tell them that they were brand new. There strongly stated that the pants came in like that. Anyhow, upon inspection, I found that they had burned my khaki colored dress pants. Definitely never returning to this place. I can only imagine how upset I would have been if I had taken them some of my expensive cloths. read more

Despite the bad reviews I wanted to go and see myself. This place wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I took my down comforter to get cleaned before putting a duvet on and it totally met my needs. There was a different person working the front desk when I went to drop off than when I went to pick up. I got a feeling the first gentleman was the owner (he seemed a little serious) and the second guy was just a worker (he seemed more chill). To be honest I would recommend this place. Please consider this review before bringing your business to Indy's Cleaners. I brought my suit to Indy's before an interview in Bronx, NY, and upon arriving at my hotel in NY that same week, I pulled my slacks out of the protective poly bag and noticed a tear in the waistline. When I arrived back in Albuquerque, I brought my slacks back to the shop and was assured by the front desk employee that a solution would be found as soon as Indy (the owner, hence the name) arrived the following day. Upon receiving a call the next day and briefly discussing the damage with Indy, I decided to stop by the shop on the way home from work to try to explain the damage. When I arrived and began discussing the tear, Indy refused to listen to my requests or empathize with my end of the issue. I was told that the manufacturer made an error by producing an easily torn seam, and that Indy was "200% certain that it was impossible for this to have happened at her shop". She did not consider for a moment that a chance error may have occurred during the cleaning process that had rendered my slacks damaged. Indy told me she would not fix my pants, and reiterated that it was simply impossible for this to have happened at her shop, denying the outright most likely explanation for my clothing's damage. I feel insulted that my concerns went unaddressed, taken advantage of because I was not offered a solution to this issue, and surprised that anyone could attempt to make a claim with 200% conviction. While the damage was not extensive, I feel that the principle of this issue is what truly upset me; a business owner failed to respect me as a customer and as a person. A company and its owner who will not entertain the thought of a simple human error damaging their customer's belongings and who fail to consider ameliorating the situation do not deserve my business, and I certainly hope that others think twice before giving their business to Indy's Cleaners as well. read more

If I could give them no stars I would, but that is not an option on yelp. My husband was on a business trip in Albuquerque and needed to have his suit dry cleaned. After careful consideration he decided on Indy cleaners. When he picked up his suit the wool on his pants was destroyed and when he put them on they had completely shrunk. My husband had meetings the next day so my mother in law returned to the dry cleaner to point out the mistake. My mother, appearing to be Anglo, overheard the women in Spanish admitting fault. She was told to return the next day to speak to the owner. My mother in law returned the next day to speak to the owner as instructed. The owner told her that she was lying and no one admitted fault and she must have misunderstood. He blamed the garmet itself and us, saying we washed the pants before we brought them in to be dry cleaned and refused to do anything. He said he would send it off for an "analysis" and based on the results he would then determine if they were in fact responsible. When I called to talk to him he screamed at me and told me to f#$k off. When I explained I was just trying to get some resolution and to stop screaming at me he did say sorry; however, he was still not willing to accept responsibility. Long story short: they destroyed my husbands $700.00 suit. They refuse to do anything. Not only are we out of an expensive suit, but we owe them money for the "analysis" they had done on it to prove they were not at fault. We are reasonable people. We are honest people. We understand mistakes happen. Human error is always a possibility, but as a consumer you would hope that business owners were the same as we are at their mercy in situations like this. Suits must be dry cleaned...there is no way around that fact. What is a person to do in situations like this? Don't go here. The owner is not nice. There is no customer service. And more importantly, your garmet may not come out as it went in and there is nothing you can about it. read more

Completely awful! I continued to go back even as their prices increased but im done! Unless you prefer being treated like garbage find a new place! The owner of this business has no idea what customer service is. After being told I'd be charged $14 to fix a zipper pull, the price almost doubled upon pick up. After waiting almost half an hour to speak with the owner, I was screamed at and basically called a liar. I chose leave the sweatshirt over paying more than it initially cost. Save your loved clothes and go someplace else. People who treat customers this way (especially long term customers) should be put out of business! Horrible business practices!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! They will lie and keep your hard earned money. I dropped off two dresses to be pressed for a wedding. ONLY to be pressed. They were NOT! They were just placed on a hanger and that was it!! I arrived picked up my garments, and decided to remove the plastic to see what they looked like. All the same wrinkles were still there. I showed the gal at the register. She said, sorry, if I had time I would press them for you now. I told her I couldn't leave them again, they had already been there 2days. I was leaving on a plane the next day for a wedding. All she said was "sorry about that". That's it!! She said you can leave a note for the owner if you like, which I did, I followed up with a phone call the next day. I spoke to someone else who said to come in after my trip. I called and spoke to the owner, who said, I called you! I never got a call from the owner. He proceeded to argue with me about how I was going to prove the garments were not pressed. I explained to him, his employee witnessed it, and I also took photos. I wanted a full refund, he then said, "how can I refund you for the steam that was used to press your garments" and my time, I will not give you a refund! seriously?! I told him I would show him the photos. He agreed to see them, and I immediately went back to the store. He refused to see the photos, never said "sorry". He gave me 1/2 my money back!! I am so disappointed in this locations "golf course NW" service and quality of dry cleaning. I have used this location for one month also for the convenience of a quick stop on the way home,and to be honest with you every other pickup experience has had an issue from---slacks having double creases, buttons melted off my dress shirts and never replaced, they even managed to melt a zipper completely off of dress slacks,to make matters worse there credit card machine is out of service a lot. I have spoken with the owner/manager to only receive excuse after excuse. I see this location out of business in the very near future. read more

The woman in there that is thin with glasses, (older woman) is so rude, unfriendly, and argumentative that I had to tell her to stop arguing with me, that I was the customer. She continued to argue with me even after I told her to stop. I have been going to this cleaners for over a year and have finally had enough of her. Apparently they don't care about customers and their business or they wouldn't treat customers with such disrespect. If you want abuse and rudeness, go to Indy's Cleaners on Golf Course Rd. in ABQ. This dry cleaner has three persistent problems. The front counter staff have trouble interacting with customers due to a combination of language challenges and lack of training. As a result orders are frequently Mia-managed requiring two trips (one to re-explain the dry cleaning need as a second to pick it up). The second issue is that every 5th shirt is missing a cuff button and the staff do not check or replace them. After hand replacing a dozen or so on business travel I finally wrote a note to the owner who promised they would not have this problem in the future. Since then I have had one short in 5 missing a button on the last three sets of shirts. The problem is not solved. Finally, the front staff persistently stabled the little paper tags to my shirts. When I brought this issue to the owner he corrected it (no longer a problem) but the front counter staff refuse tot talk to me when I visit. Literally, they only ask "what is your phone number" and that with a sour expression. I have tried to work with this cleaner to help them improve for three years but I am done. read more

I was extremely disappointed by the shoddy service I received from this store. I dropped off a sports jacket on Monday and was told that it would be ready no later than 4 p.m. the following day. Unfortunately, my jacket had a noticeable spot (although I was unaware of it myself) that required extra treatment and therefore would not be ready until Wednesday. I was visiting family and not from Albuquerque, and was leaving before the store opened on Wed., so leaving it the additional day was not a viable option, a fact that I communicated to them at the point of dropping off the garment. I was very annoyed to find this all out when I came into the store, and not beforehand. My phone number was taken when I dropped off the item; why I wasn't called if there was a problem with the garment is beyond me. To add insult to injury, I tried to convey my displeasure to them directly, only to discover the "Contact Us" option on their website does not work. While not the end of the world, it still rates as the worst dry cleaning experience I've ever had. read more

This place needs to go out of business. I've used this location for a couple months now because it is located near where my father lives, which allows me to drop/pick up my suits when visiting him. Unfortunately I can't continue to go to this place because of the horrible way the owners treat their staff and the way the've treated other customers. Although I havn't had any problems myself, I've witness the owner throw tantrums at his workers and at his customers. The owner is a bully who seems to get a sick pleasure out of harrasing and mistreating the people around him. The last time I went, the owner screamed at his employees for talking, while I had to wait and listen while he yelled. I felt phisically sick listening to him harrass his workers, and he had no problem making me wait while he had his hissy fit. This person needs to put someone else in charge, because he will fail misserably with the way he treats his customers and staff. When my husband dropped off three curtain panels, they had him sign a waiver they told him was for stains. I picked them up yesterday, and they are completely ruined. All three have a different amount of damage. I called today to ask about it. I talked to two people, neither of which could help because I went to the Holly location and they have different management but they couldn't give me a phone number for them. The person I did talk to told me there's basically nothing they will do because we signed the waiver. They said that although some items say to be dry cleaned, it can still ruin them. If it's the material that was the problem, I would think they should all have the same amount of damage. The part that bothers me the most, other than no one seems to care, is that no one called and told us they had ruined them. Someone took the time to fold them up and put them on a hanger, but couldn't call and tell us what happened. Or tell me when I went and picked them up. I understand things happen, but I also believe that they should at least notify someone when they ruined their curtains. I brought two silk shirts in to be cleaned that were not damaged in any way. After getting the shirts cleaned at Indy's Dry Cleaner, both of my silk shirts have gaping holes in them. My clothing is beyond repair and cannot be worn any longer. After speaking with owner, Harry Ram, on 3/11/2014, I was told that there is no way that his equipment created the damage, that the damage is from wear and tear and he will not do anything to reimburse me for my ruined garments. read more

Awful service. I took my son's 6 month old bedspread in to get washed. It was torn in 3 different places when we got it back. We immediately took it back to the store only to get the run around that there was no manager on site on Saturday. We were called back on Monday only to have the manager tell us that he could have his lady fix the tears. One week later WE called to check up on the bedspread....it was ready. The owner of Indys cleaners has small town mentality, -that the customer is wrong, they ripped apart my new CUSTOM curtains, claiming "well u signed the warning form" of course, on that form I noted they were BRAND NEW so it didnt apply, The supervisor agreed it was their mistake, after two weeks, missing pieces MIRACULOUSLY appeared and were sewn back on. The Supv agreed to fix them then give me my $ back for the problems..Upon picking them up the OWNER, INDY made ignorant claims and excuses to which I countered, to which she responded by yelling at me and making excuses ... She countermanded the person who actually helped me the last two weeks saying NO $ will be refunded ...there were other..issues. BUT and Heres' the rub. An employee taking a break told me that they damage clothes all the time due to poor work ethics and issues are covered up, no $ is ever refunded and it just got worse from there...
