They have the best selection of Vermont brand clothing (Ibex and Darn Tough) in the state. I went to the Ibex store in Boston and was disappointed because Nomads had a better selection. The selection of clothing is always changing in the store. I pop in about once a month to see what is new and I'm always amazed at the selection. The owner picks out every item in the store and she only carries brands that she personally believes in. Everyone that works there is very personable and helpful! If you follow them on social media you will see that they have seasonal sales. This is great because it is impossible to get Darn Tough socks on sale (unless you shop at Nomads)! If you haven't checked out this store on Commercial Street, I highly suggest you do!! #shoplocal

This is a great store that features some clothing that I have never seen before and offers a unique shopping experience that is wonderful. The staff here is very helpful and friendly and does there best to make sure that you have the best time shopping. I was impressed with Nomads and went away with some purchases that I was happy with. I felt ready to go on many different adventures after shopping here and was motivated to become more active and explore the world with confidence. They are awesome and I recommend shopping here to change you life and do it big.

If you have ever been…read moreto a Cabela's it's kinda what you'd expect just not quite as over the top as some of the extremely large locations. Anything outdoors wise and hunting/fishing it is a solid option. Likely paying more than some other avenues of buying the items, but maybe you can get lucky with a sale. They have staff as soon as you enter trying to sell you on being a member and what not, annoying but can walk past them. It was nice enough to browse for awhile and waste time. Despite not being the largest Cabela's it is still very large. Also for yourself or if you have young ones seeing the animal displays is a great reason to stop by as well. I suspect the quality here has gone down in some part back when Bass Pro Shops acquired Cabela's considering they were the biggest competition of each other. Leading to a worse deal for us the consumers. Potential to be a favorite store for some!

I was shopping for my other 1/2 who loves Hawaiian style shirts. One of the staff was in the area, he assisted in my finding the perfect shirts & I bought him shorts plus a few other ditties. The gentleman in glass wear assisted in tightening my sunglasses & kindly cleaned them. The guy in menswear was more than helpful. The checkout pro heard a big crash when I was pulling gear out of my cart at his register. Those big candles make a thunderous noise. Oops. He was super cool & I was checked out quickly. I will return to add their names. All 3 deserve kudos for their professionalism & kind temperament. They are a +plus+ for Cabela's!! I'm sure they've some doozies which in fact happened to me at a 2nd visit. I saw a very young female in an outfit made more for "street-walking" opposed to Cabela's outfitters. Wearing a barely there outfit leaving too much hanging around with a pair of 4" pumps teetering through the aisles wasn't working. If the fit was more fitting all the more power. Some parts are better left unseen. With that being said I've likely dealt with variable situations in my youth. (My mother would call this unbecoming rip ) Cabela's is great!! Ty!!!

The price was discounted vs other major websites so I went ahead and checked their return policy just incase anything went wrong or price was too good to be true. Upon the item being received I noticed the manufacturer box was torn at the top and didn't have a seal, so I immediately assumed this was an opened item and knew I would need to test them prior to just taking on my ski trip. I fully charged the battery, put on in home and waited for any noticeable heating. This was my first time trying the socks route as I typically install heated insoles in my ski boots. This was a new ski boot for me and the socks were cheaper at $215. No noticeable heating at all, batteries died at 4hrs vs 7. I didn't take them on the trip obviously. When I got back, I figured maybe I did something wrong and fully charged again...same experience. I emailed customer service and my response from "Jay" was a very excited yet not apologetic reply to use the manufacturer warranty route. A warranty is helpful after you have used things and its then faulty, its not helpful as a solution to purchasing something expected to be brand new and expensive for an immediate ski season. Jays reply had also been quick to say "we dont accept used returns". I then emailed to confirm I was not sold an open box used item that was discounted due to this aspect and was not returnable, incase I had missed this. The same Jay replied that they only sold new items. So I chose to return my "new" socks that were faulty. I shipped back at my own $28 expense, and sent customer service the tracking. I then noticed I was receiving no replies to my emails which was odd customer service. I planned to re-order heated insoles from them vs trying socks again. I then checked their website and noticed no other socks or any insoles at all, they seem to only list one item of things they had. I then found reviews on yelp and realized this isnt actually a gear company it is a small town ski shop listing close out one off items. I then emailed that I would do a chargeback if I had no response to my return, and received a shocking reply that they were a small ski shop, this was the child of the parents who own the ski shop and that my return of ski socks would be a large financial hit to them and would have to throw them out, but would refund me. So safe to say I was attempted to be scammed by buying a pre-used and returned set of faulty heated socks, and they expected I would just hash it out with trying to get a replacement from the manufacturer. Ski shops are typically run by honest sport loving community so its very sad to see theres dishonest operators out there. Two stars instead of one because they did refund my money. But I would avoid buying here and expecting customer service to be helpful for any other purchase or expect quality gear. If you google search reviews you will see other issues...

I will never deal with park2peak.com ever again. Here is why…read more I reevaluated my interaction with park2peak.com and realized that when I was upset about when I saw the 18 day shipping on usps tracking (on the website it says 7 days) he offered me a suggestion. Which is ok. His weak suggestion was to refund my money, stop the transaction and for me to mail the box back on his dime and for me to find the slippers elsewhere. I felt this was putting me between a rock and a hard place. Wait 10 more days (already waited 7) for these slippers/save some money (which is not a rush for me) OR start looking again for them, which it was already hard to find, at the price I was looking for and relabel and mail the already shipped slippers back. To me this wasn't a suggestion, this was a "well there will be most people that will wait or most that will mail it back, we just lose the shipping back to us". Both of these put the responsibility back on the consumer. I guess what set me off was their non chalant attitude about it and also saying "practice Aloha" at the end of his message. This was after I said I will be leaving a negative review for him on this transaction (due to the delayed shipping). I then called him on his fake aloha behavior from his email and over online chat. He decided to use Aloha , when we started this chat to further taunt me. I now realize Jay is the owner. He also shared he has a "practice aloha" sticker on the company truck. Which I guess is his badge of Aloha honor. That also did it for me. What happened then was odd. He decided on his own to call me and left a message that he would be cancelling my order, refunding me, and saying he was going to reroute my package back to them. All of this Without asking me first. He told me this in a voicemail. So I called him back, asked for Jay. Not only was he self righteous that he is trying his best to make me happy but he was also trying to take me in circles over and over to prove his point. Instead of just saying "hey, I'm sorry this all happened, what would you like us to do" he decided to continuously argue with me about his customer service, how he's doing a good job, and how cannot make me happy. He basically was saying "you said this and you said that" and saying I was being aggressive when I am just stating what my assessment of his company's policies / solutions are. Basically Straight out of the entitled and non-aloha textbook. Aloha is best described to as this to me... Embedded in the word Aloha is the Hawaiian word alo, which means face, and ha, which means breath. Ancient Polynesians believed that all people are connected and that mana (power) resides in the breath of life. This was a not what the faceless website owner in Maine was trying to do. For him to tell me to "Practice aloha" in a review about them is an absolute joke. I Live Aloha everyday(message me for more details) but my Aloha doesn't mean I'm also a pushover. He needs to stop throwing Aloha around like he gets it. The slippers arrived in 17 days. No box, just a plastic mailer with the slippers in them. Why would you mail Olukai slippers this way, I have no idea. All in all, I will not ever be going back to park2peak.com . Heed my warning, they will not help you out, they will most likely give you attitude, and then give a weak suggestion that will be putting responsibility on you. 10/14- 11/14 17 days from order to arrival

Obviously I would never hold that against the store or let it affect their rating. However, when I went inside and explained to the greeter that a vehicle had been hit and asked if she wanted to check whether the victim was one of their employees, she said that employees typically don't park in that lot, customers do, and seemed very unconcerned. When I said I just wanted to let someone know in case the victim came inside and could she tell them that I called the police and gave them the person's license plate, the employee asked me if I wanted her to call a manager out. I was just really put off by that as this is the first point of contact for people entering the store and I just genuinely wanted to try and help. We did spend some time in the store and in the compound. I like that they have an entire section where you can customize products and gifts and have them embroidered. I haven't seen that before and I thought it was really neat. I didn't care for any of the products that they were offering at that time which qualified for the embroidery, but if that's something you're looking for, they offer it here. They also had dog items and the store is dog friendly. We brought our pup in with us but again she just didn't find any toys that were the right size or that she was interested in. The trip here was kind of a bust for us but I can see why some people might enjoy shopping here. We were told by another traveler that this is a great place to stop for deals, but I didn't see many of those either. There's a campus comprised of multiple buildings and that was a bit confusing. It also seems like it would be easier just to have everything under one roof, but that's just me personally.

Perhaps, only if you're seeking the smallest game on a very short trip. Is there really such a thing ever as having TOO much? Perhaps, there is no such a thing if you're a "responsible" prepper or an avid enthusiast seeking to advance yourself to handle just about ANY situation thrown your way - including the apocalypse. I definitely do not believe there is such a thing as having too much. And I can bet on it that most of the people here today at Kittery Trading Post feel the same way. Yes, the prices are mostly MSRP and sometimes higher. Yes, you can most likely (99% of the time) get a better deal elsewhere (especially online). But where can you actually have the opportunity to TOUCH everything or be likely seduced to WANT more because you weren't aware that such an item even existed? Here, at KTP, that is exactly what happens. You think you have a particular item in mind? How about being thrown more options that most other stores even dream of carrying? Thought you liked something online? How about holding that item in person and deciding if it is the right fit for just a fraction more of the price (and avoid the need to make returns for the most part?) How about being swayed into another product because you "apparently" didn't research it enough to realize there are even BETTER options that fit your exact needs (or because it's more expensive and you can justify it in person, lol)? Kittery Trading Post is definitely one of my ultimate retail spots as an outdoor enthusiast and an avid prepper (for whatever possible events will ever unfold in my fantasies). And every time I'm here, I always leave with at least one new toy for the personal arsenal. Definitely love this place even if it's not exactly the best bang for the buck.
