Treatment was great; straight to the point with fire cupping, dry needling and manual therapy (good pressure). Bed was warm and she's in the room with you the whole time. Looking forward to my next acu treatment.

Thank you, Dr. Chang, for your professional expertise and very effective services. I would certainly recommend him as a physiotherapist.

While not a smart pattern, this has been happening for a few years now (thanks, Ageing!) So FINALLY I sucked it up and agreed with my bootcamp instructor that yes, I should go see a physio. I'd been resisting because doctors already just tell me to put it up and ice it until I feel better, so what could a physio POSSIBLY know that's different. Fool of a Took! Sean, in his pleasant, kind, and gentle manner, has given me exercises that are already strengthening and helping my weird knees after only one week. He is clear in his demonstrations and explains why each exercise will help, and even better he doesn't tell me to rest! He believes that exercising will only help me (as long as I'm smart about it) and this makes me exceedingly happy! Sean broke down every stereotype I had, and it's been awesome since then! Sure, my knees aren't fixed yet, but they feel way better after only a week!

The hidden gem that is Jennifer Yau. At the end of our appointment I told her that she was the best…read morephysiotherapist I've ever encountered. With Jennifer it was a holistic experience - clinical excellence, winning personality, and client-service oriented. I requested we get straight to manual therapy as with many other physio therapists, we spend forever talking and filling out useless forms that have no relevance to me. Jennifer obliged while at first pointing out what may be the source of my back pain and misalignment - my feet. It's the first time I had someone go through all the various symptoms and quickly dial in on a specific actionable part, and for me to feel confident and hopeful that I could actually work and improve upon it. Front desk was friendly and efficient / enjoyed chatting with them at the end. This location is a bit more run-down than their other ones, but still a decent place compared to many other places where I've had treatment. Overall highly recommend - especially if you're lucky enough to get on Jennifer's schedule.

I would not recommend anyone to go to a clinic where they offer services they don't know how to do or even know it's on the list.

What a great clinic, right by the now-closed casino at the Plaza of Nations…read more I needed help with a sore ankle (and was freaking out, as I've an upcoming marathon and have not been able to train AT ALL for it, due to said ankle!). Went to my GP and he referred me to this clinic. And I'm really glad he did: -the are open early (at 7am!) and will work to get you seen right away if there's an issue (they were able to fit me in right away after I called, as they had a cancellation or an opening in an hour). -convenient location (across Pacific from Costco, by a skytrain station and also the Plaza of Nations Aquabus and False Creek Ferry stop, and right on the seawall if you're walking). Two large parking lots, too. -super nice staff, from the friendly receptionists/schedulers, to the 4 physiotherapists working inside (I observed a lot of comfortable repartee amongst the patients present and the therapists, and amongst the therapists themselves. It sounded like many of the staff knew the other therapists' patients. Everyone seemed to know and like everyone else. It was reminiscent of an episode of "Cheers", lol!). -my therapist Midori was very knowledgable and professional and helped me a lot. My condition was assessed thoroughly, then the issues addressed with ultrasound and various exercises, and I was given a plan of action going forward, and was advised to come back in 1-2 weeks for follow-up. I appreciated that follow-up recommendation. They don't drop you once you visit. They truly want to see your issue/s resolved. -the clinic itself isn't large or posh but it's clean and has all the basic equipment and then some. The most important assets are the therapists themselves: my GP (who is sports oriented) thinks really highly of the physio care here and I can see why.
