I visited this clinic on May 6, 2025, for cupping therapy--my third time receiving this treatment…read morehere. After the session, the practitioner mentioned I had "a few blisters" and applied some ointment. Since the cupping was done on my back, I couldn't see the area myself and trusted their assessment. However, once I got home and checked, I was shocked to find that nearly every cupping mark was filled with blisters--far more than "a few." Sleeping that night was very uncomfortable, and the affected areas grew painful over time. What concerns me most is the way this was handled. Before leaving, I was asked to sign a waiver. In hindsight, it felt like the practitioner was aware of the extent of the reaction and had me sign paperwork before I realized what had happened. I understand that blistering can occasionally occur with cupping, but the lack of transparency and aftercare, along with how the situation was managed, left me very disappointed. I hope this helps others make an informed decision.

I felt very comfortable and she was very kind. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the location and atmosphere. It is located on the 6th floor in Aberdeen square which was a little hard to find and you could hear people walking around the hall as the walls are very thin and there was no music playing. To bring this up to five stars I would suggest improving the atmosphere and perhaps playing ambient music. Ultimately prices were good and I enjoyed the massage!

I feel very lucky and thankful that I found this place and met the acupuncturists - Dr May Wang and…read moreher team! I was suffering from insomnia and anxiety, mainly from work, but also from stress that had accumulated to the point where my body could hardly handle any. Long story short, I tried one acupuncturist before finding China Acupuncture Clinic. It did improve my condition, but I soon fell back to the bad routine again with having hard time sleeping and anxiety. I googled on the internet and found another acupuncture clinic, which coincidentally located in the same building. Browsing the website and reading about the backgrounds of the acupuncturists there, I felt something authentic about them and decided to make an appointment. Dr May is such a lovely woman. Every time I visited, she listened to my conditions carefully, touched and diagnosed my body and identified specific problems. Although the main issue was insomnia, my autonomic imbalance resulted from many factors, including stiff shoulders and back, liver function and etc; the issue was not simple. Every single treatment was different and unique. May applied different techniques, and needles were placed at different points - every time - depending on the specific condition. The way she treated was very different from the other acupuncturist that I had visited. Slowly but steadily, my condition kept getting better after a number of treatments. By now, I realize a significant improvement since the beginning. May and her team of acupuncturists are all knowledgeable, skilled and experienced. They are trustworthy and reliable. I hope my review will help anyone who is looking to go to the right place and receive the right treatment!

"How serious are you in making a lifestyle change?" was the question on the form at the doctor's…read moreoffice. OVERVIEW: When a good friend refers you to a clinic that offers an alternative method of better health, you just have to see for yourself. The funny thing is that the "alternative method" should have been the norm because Springs Eternal deals with naturopathic medicine. On a broad sense, this means that they focus on natural remedies coupled with the body's ability to heal and maintain itself while avoiding evasive methods like drugs and surgery. WHO: The clinic is run by a soft-spoken couple (each with their own specialties) whom both have a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine giving them an "ND" designation rather than an "MD". AILMENTS: They deal with a wide array of conditions from allergies/asthma, detox/cleansing, and anything else that deals with making your body function better. TREATMENTS: No antibiotics here that puts your system out of whack and kills the good bacteria along with it. We're talking about acupuncture, hydrotherapy and homeopathy which means herbs and natural supplements to bring your body into healing itself. CONSULTATION: It's a one-hour consultation for the very first visit. You fill out a form detailing your present health and conditions. At CAD140.00, I damn right made sure to list everything I can think of about my health. The doctor goes thru the form and then discusses everything in your life and weeds thru your past living and working conditions. From possible exposure to household paint and chemicals to how much metals your body may have ingested including the amalgam your dentist put on your teeth. COST: Because it's an alternative approach this means that MSP will not cover the cost of clinic visits nor will Pharmacare cover the cost of supplements. Until this is a widely accepted form of treatment in the medical community extended insurance is the only option. THE FUTURE OF MEDICINE: Until the government includes this as part of basic medical coverage or I win the lottery (whichever comes first, really) it's not something I can continue doing. And let's just say your extended insurance will cover the cost of all office visits, you still have to deal with the cost of supplements which isn't covered. UNTIL THEN: All we can really do toward better health is what our parents have been saying. At least drinking red wine has health benefits. Now if only they make a positive study on poutine consumption.

So here goes. I am a plus sized woman. Just a fact. Happily, it's pretty rare that I feel that my size impacts the way I'm treated. In fact, the only time in recent memory that I've felt my size impacted how I was treated by someone was with the massage I received at Qi. Now, this is not a statement against everyone that works there. In fact, I had a great massage many years ago (I even asked the team if they could help me track her down, to no response), but I couldn't tell you who it was with. This time however, I selected to have an appointment with Jorg. He specializes in joint, posture & movement issues, and with chronic problems I have stemming from a past broken leg and multiple related surgeries, he seemed like the perfect match. Only, that hope was one way, as I got the distinct impression from the moment he walked in the room that I wasn't his "ideal" client. What followed was a 50 minute massage (in a 60 minute timeslot), zero check-ins about pressure or anything at all, and about the only words he said to me felt like a complete slap in the face. At the end of our time, he told me bluntly that he specializes in *sports* massage, and that the next time I come in? I should book with someone else. Message received loud and clear, Jorg. I'm truly sorry that in your world, only the fit and slender qualify for your help.
