I've always love this pizza place. To me they're the best in Long Beach. The pizza and entrees are reasonably priced and taste so good. We love to have dinner here on nights I'm too lazy to cook. The customer service is welcoming and attentive. They've accommodated me with no issues due to my strict diet. Three and a half very strong..This place is getting my fully affirmative endorsement and tentative best pizza in Long Beach title, largely on the strength of one sole specialty slice; The Vodka Grandma slice. The jury is very much still out as to whether Vodka sauce pizza is stumbling its way towards legitimacy or will ultimately be deemed a fad, however this version is making me start to concede the former. Its spicy and savory in just the way the best versions of Penne Alla Vodka are, the spirit of the dish translating perfectly onto pie form. The structural integrity of the relatively thick by grandma standards crust stands up well to the heavy sauce. The regular pie is close to a dead heat with the crosstown rivals Ginos version, which is to say pretty unexceptional. Anyway I never said this place was a great pizza town, but at least now they have an legitimately tasty pie offered within city limits. Its a start, I suppose. read more

** GROSS** That pizza slice you just bought off the counter was just sitting at my house with the box opened for over an hour. I touched it, too. I inspected it and I even had a slice on a plate, ready to eat. When I called West End Pizza to tell them they accidentally added an ingredient I'm allergic to despite my order being very clear, the employee and the boss then rudely and defensively insisted that the error was mine. They refused to provide me with a refund unless I brought the entire pizza back, even after I expressed that my sister was nearby and could pick up the refund. I drove out of my way, returned the pizza, and witnessed them opening the box, ogling it excitedly (i.e., "Mira! Es bueno!" ), and bringing it over to the single counter-slices to sell. read more

It's hard not to be grateful for a place that serves late night pizza amidst long beach's late night hollows. That being said, the specialty slices are mediocre at best as are the heroes. That being said, the pretty good slices become pretty effing amazing when you stumble in circa 12AM after some beach side boozing. Everyone that works their is friendly too. Consistently good pizza and sides. I've tried the basic entrees too and have always been happy. Whether I pick up or order delivery I've never had an issue with them taking too long. I even used them to cater a small party. Occasionally you'll see a bad review for them and I think that end of Long Beach has a decent bar crowd and night life and I suspect that is why. Horrible customer service ...called and placed an order for a grandma pie and a regular pie half pepperoni...order came and they gave us 2 regular pies...no grandma. When we called to tell them they admitted they messed up the order. They then said they would deliver the grandma but they have to take the regular pie back...1 that is gross are they going to deliver this pie to someone else? 2 just bad customer service if they made the mistake then make it right. Best pizza in LB hands down! Huge fan of their chicken ceaser slice/pinwheels/chicken roll (I like how it's rolled up so there's no raw dough like other places after it comes out of the oven, this applies for the pinwheels too) nothing worse than biting into raw dough and being confused if it's cheese or dough lol. Still five stars....i previously recommended the pasta combo and the regular pizza.....but last week I tried the Grandma slice vodka sauce pizza and based on that alone I would give this place 10 stars!!! I always run in here when I drop off my laundry to get a slice.... which is about every 2 weeks. The workers are nice or they can just be flirting with me. I didn't even get to eat the food! The chick on the phone said half an hour for delivery. I call at 45 minutes and she says its on the way. Then I call 20 minutes after that, and the place is only 10 minutes away. I want a refund and to send the food back, but the lady on the phone wasn't helpful. Me and a friend went to this pizzeria on a late Friday night, we were not intoxicated like the rest of the customers. However, we still expected some good pizza. I ordered a buffalo slice and my friend ordered a regular slice, not that hard to screw up considering the slices are already premade. My slice did not even look or smell like a buffalo slice, but it did have some kick to it and had a wonderful contribution of two pieces of chicken on the entire slice. My friend's regular slice was cold to say the least and the man at the register just pulled the slices off of the display counter without even heating them up. The prices at this place were high for the mediocrity that they put out. I do not recommend this place to anybody who is looking to get a decent slice of pizza. The owner of this pizzeria should be very ashamed of himself. In my opinion this pizzeria stands to take advantage of drunk individuals that flop in and are only expecting for a quick fix of food. A real business should stand for integrity and excellence despite the state of their costumer base. read more

The pepperoni slice is amazing. I usually throw in a chicken roll or a grilled chicken parm hero. I highly recommend the food. Their delivery is a little bit dicey - sometimes they forget sauces or bring a broccoli/chicken roll when you ordered something else, but overall I would say this is one of the best slices on Long Island. read more
