I used to go to the Strathcona Depot as it was the closest to my home but now this location is super convenient to just drop off my bottle on my way to or from work. So far I have dropped off bottles there about 3-4 times in the morning around 8:30-9:00 during the week when they first open. No waiting for me so far. The place is your standard bottle depot. They have about 4 counters to drop your bottles off. The staff are quick, efficient and pleasant. The place is clean and tidy. They have a washing station to wash your hands after handling your bottles. If you live/work on the south side close to this location it is a great choice for you to use.

The auto-sorter also makes the process go very quickly and I think very accurately. You get a tap card when they are done and then you go to an ATM type machine to get your cash. It gives you the option to tip the staff which is nice. The parking lot isn't huge but has always been ample for the number of people that have been there. I think there is another bottle depot in town so I will have to use that one next and then update this review with which one I like better.

Better than taking your stuff to the dump!…read more The Eco Station is GREAT for taking recycling your electronics, paints (they have a free pick up program), scrap metal (think trampoline or swing set), and large household furniture that is broken. They do their best to sort through it later so that it doesn't just fill up a landfill. The staff are always FRIENDLY - yes, totally they are - and helpful. Absolutely love this place. At times the line up can be quite long so you're better off going during the middle of the day. Fees are quite reasonable for disposal here and some items are free to leave here like electronics. It was exactly what the Alberta depot website had estimated. We've never had such a smooth refund process. Be warned, it might get busy with the wait times in the summer, as there are only two windows, and they are drive up. I liked the drive up process, as it's handy not having to empty out the car; super for large orders, or when you have kiddos with you. It's a smaller depot, but I liked it. The one we usually go to has been skimming us, so this will be our go to from now on.

They take the sting out of the awkwardness and they are super efficient and friendly. You either drive right up to the window or one spot you bring the bottles in but it is never a big deal. The computer screen shows you what they are counting and you get your cash right away. The whole process is quick and easy. The staff are always especially friendly also!

Once inside you will notice how clean, organized and neat it is. The Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I was even offered a tour of their Depot. It was very quick with their high tech system from Denmark which consists of a humungous conveyor belt system which is super fast and convenient. Your deposit refund is distributed by a machine and not a cashier. I will definitely be returning here again. For an early Saturday afternoon, it was not crowded at all !
