Update: After two phone calls and posting my initial negative review, I was able to get my replacement delivery the same day. Have to say I was impressed with the quick response time once the owner/manager was aware of my issue. They also cleaned up and picked up the pine straw that was accidentally delivered to our neighbors. Initial review: I have ordered pine straw from this company twice. The first time was great and seamless. The second time has been a disaster. Ordered online last Monday and by the following Friday the delivery had still not arrived. Called the office to follow up and it turns out they delivered our order to another house in our neighborhood even though our mailbox is very clearly marked with the street number. I was promised that a replacement order would be delivered to our house the next morning and that they would also resolve the issue of the the pine straw that had been incorrectly delivered to our neighbors. Well, here it is three days later, and none of this has been corrected. So, not only do I not have the pine straw that I ordered for my own yard, but our poor neighbors probably think someone pulled a prank on them by randomly dumping a bunch of pine straw in their front yard. Will update this review if/when I ever receive my order, but have begun looking for a new company to use going forward. read more

I received my order a few days ago and just had the chance to put it out. I chose West Cobb Pine Straw because I was told their bales are clean, which initially seemed to be the case. However, when I opened the third bale, I found twigs, dirt, and large pieces of bark. Five out of the ten I ordered was like this. This was very disappointing. I had to set those bales aside and move them to the back. While I used the cleaner bales in the front, I'm frustrated that the quality was not consistent across all of them. read more

I placed my online order for pine straw to be delivered and spread on Monday morning. I received a phone call within minutes thanking me for the order and stating that a crew would be out the next day. The two guys neatly spread the pine straw and when they finished, went around with a blower to ensure there was no pine straw laying on the grass. Went to 2 major home improvement stores and they just has scrap left in their trailers. Called a friend who grew up in Cobb county and he said to go call West Cobb Pine Straw. I did and they had several trailers on a paved parking lot with men ready to load your truck. Everyone at this place of business was kind and friendly. This is the only place for me and might be for you if you only make one visit to West Cobb Pine Straw. Do It! read more

My regular pine straw guy decided to start all over and buy a hot dog truck in Florida. Like any conscientious pine-straw-researcher I called different places, got quotes, read reviews ... and ended up with West Cobb. They were great. They came in a bit cheaper than their competition, they were able to accommodate us with our very specific timing (first thing on a Saturday morning), they did a professional job 'installing' the pine straw -- I thought the verb was 'scattering.' I'd purchased pine straw from West Cobb, in the past, and I'd been happy with the quick delivery and service. The first time, I thought I'd spread the straw myself. That was the first and last time that I said that I'd do that. It was back breaking and I was not happy with the look. But, that was completely on me and not on the product. Fast forward a couple years, I ordered pine straw this past Saturday. By early morning, I'd received a confirmation email that they would be out Wednesday in order to install. (Let me assure you, it's worth every penny to have the professionals do the install.) Anyway, I was at work when they showed up to do the work. I was a little apprehensive that they may not do it to my liking or possibly cut corners. When we arrived home from work, we were wowed. That's right, they did an absolutely fantastic job and really exceeded my expectations. There was truly nothing more that I could have asked for. They went above and beyond what I wanted and the install has our yard looking like the best design in the neighborhood. (No exaggeration!) So yes ... I recommend West Cobb Pine Straw ... Yes... I recommend paying the extra to have it spread. I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

Submitted an order and was told there would be delay, which I was fine with. However, once the order was delivered, I was left with a huge mess for my young daughters and I to clean up right as a storm was coming in. The bales were not roped together and they just threw the stuff down freely. So unprofessional. Unless you want an extra mess to clean, don't bother. read more

I have used West Cobb Pine Straw for years. I love their long needle pine straw! The prices are reasonable. Their bales of straw are free from sticks and pine cones. They are very friendly and accommodating. They always place the pine straw where I have asked for it to be placed, even when I am not home during delivery. Another great experience with West Cobb Pine Straw. I live in East Cobb and I was on the Saturday schedule for delivery off 100 bales of pine straw with 80 bales installed. I had 6 men here to lay down the material instead of the normal 3. (The first job the second crew had was postponed...lucky me!) The job was done in 1 hour including clean up. This is my second year using this company . The first year they were very kind , courteous , and were excellent in communication . This year it was a totally different experience . I ordered on line and they showed up without calling which wasn't that big of a deal but the driver was very rude and abrupt will me . He did greet he just said you need to more your cars in a rude voice and I can't put these in your backyard I have to put them on the side to which I said ok and went back inside my home . When they left I noticed that their were two broken bundles of pine straw just thrown in my very and my driveway was a lot of pine straw in it and they didn't bother to sweep or blow in off . They were very unprofessional this time so there won't be a next time for me. read more

I would not recommend doing business with them. I ordered Pine straw with them and was told it would be here within 3-5 business days because it was during their busy season, ok cool!... Well 5 business days went by so I called them on a Saturday to see what was going on and they said my pine straw would be delivered at the beginning of the week. Ok cool... Well that was a Lie! What they didn't tell me is that they only deliver to my area on Wednesdays and Saturdays and they don't deliver on rainy days. I had to wait 2 weeks for my pine straw because it kept raining on my scheduled delivery days. Are you kidding me??? It was a drizzly misty day not a monsoon!! I even asked for a refund after a week and a half because I wanted to just buy it from Home Depot and get my yard work done and they said no, the lady I spoke to was extremely passive aggressive and tried to make it seem like I was an idiot! If they aren't going to deliver when they say they are I should have been able to get my money back. Mind you I live VERY close to their office so my delivery was not that much of an inconvenience on any day!! read more

I would not recommend ordering pine straw. It was not clean at all. It had trash, leaves, briars, etc. I spent a lot of time cleaning out the pine straw as I put it down. Very disappointed! read more

I have ordered 2 separate loads. Delivery is only $5 and was done in a few days. I ordered on line- and asked for them to drop half load in front yard and half in side yard. No problem! Pretty good sized bales and min twigs. Very happy. read more
