    4" chicken and pesto sandwich
    Josh M.

The sandwiches are pretty good. I wasn't wowed by them but they are basically a step up from Subway. I had the 8" BLT. I like using that as a litmus test of a sandwich place. It was ok. I wasn't a fan of the shredded iceberg lettuce but the sourdough bread was good. I enjoyed a cup of the chicken and poblano pepper soup, definitely recommend it. My wife had the 4" grilled chicken pesto. There wasn't quite enough pesto on the sandwich but overall it tasted good. The drink and chip combo is identical to Subway. The place is clean and cozy. The ceilings are high so you can easily have conversations. The staff was nice but still learning the ropes.

Italian sandwich, 8", missing the lettuce, tomatoes, olives, pesto...

Popped in for the first time for a sandwich for dinner. I ordered the Italian, pesto in lieu of house sauce, requested lettuce, tomatoes and olives. Unfortunately, my sandwich was lacking the veggies... The bread was the circumference of a baguette.... the meat was ok.... the house sauce appeared to have gotten into my sandwich as well... The guy took our order fairly quickly; he did ask all the questions for my sandwich details. For an 8" baguette size sandwich; I felt $15 was a bit much... We won't be returning.

    Small sandwich.

The restaurant was super clean and fully stocked. The counters were neat, all the tables were clear, and the self-serve drink area had no spills or clutter. The person who helped me was very friendly! The food is very good but pricey. I ordered the turkey on sourdough with Swiss cheese. I asked for easy lettuce and no tomatoes which I got. I asked for extra spread -- it was mostly on one half. The sandwich was small for $12 -- I look for more meat than bread -- but everything was super fresh. The add-ons such as avocado and bacon are $1.50 each -- my sandwich had no extras. I asked for a to go menu to put in my B&B but they don't have any. Overall yummy but pricey.

This is a picture of my French dip! So sad!

Just ordered for the first time! To go order was quick - paid for butter- never made it into the bag, requested the pickle - never made it into the bag. The bread and Mac n cheese was yummy, salad was huge but the French dip was lacking meat! with all the local sour dough places I think I'll buy my bread and make my own san

The meat falls right out of the sandwich because sourdough bread is too hard. Just go to Subway instead.

They didnt have a printed kids menu but he helped my kids choose their food. We got ourselves some food and drinks as well. Everything came out fairly quickly. 1. The fancy fondue was very yummy. It came with toasted sourdough bread. 2. Garlic bread was also good. We dipped that into the fondue once we were done with the sourdough. It enhanced the taste further. 3. Kids loved the pepperoni pizza and fish & chips. 4. Our server also accommodated our request for a half and half garlic chicken pizza with no meat on one side. The pizza came out great. We didnt even leave the edges 5. For drinks we got the old fashioned and birthday cake which were both great. Will definitely be back here if in the area.

Their happy hour is DAILY from 14:00-16:00. The restaurant was pretty busy on a Sunday, but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Our server was attentive and friendly. For our cocktails, my friend went with the Huckleberry lemonade, while I went with the pomegranate whiskey sour. She thoroughly enjoyed her cocktail, and so did I. At that price point, I didn't expect much, but it was a solid cocktail, although not as strong as what I'd normally get elsewhere. The clam chowder sounded really good, and I couldn't help myself, so I ordered it. My friend is not a fan of seafood, so the chowder was all for me. The crostini was very nicely toasted and I loved dipping it into the chowder. I was also pleasantly surprised by the flavor and quality of the clam chowder. It was packed with a ton of clams, and was perfectly hearty without being heavy. We opted to share the fallen apple pizza, which was the perfect choice. The dough was pillowy and light, and the toppings delicious. I would have liked more apple slices, as it didn't seem like they were very prominent, and for the balsamic drizzle to be more uniform, but overall it was a solid pizza. I took leftover pizza home, and my husband enjoyed it for dinner. We heated it up in the air fryer and that was the way to go. While it was a little noisy in the restaurant, mainly due to a large group seated next to us, we still had a good experience, and the booth seating was comfy. I would love to bring my husband back to try more happy hour menu items next time we visit Sonora! The price point is seriously hard to beat, and Emberz is a solid spot for hanging out and having a good time.

Jasmine was superb, with thinking of everything for us, kudos. The Jambalaya, perfect spice! The pasta, very nice! Last night my bestfriend & I decided to meet up at the Peppery for dinner. I arrived first and went in to get a table for the two of us. I was waiting in the entry area behind the "Please Wait to be Seated" sign. As I waited another party arrived and was waiting beside me. One of the servers came over walked past me and asked them for how many and took them to be seated. Interesting for me seeing as I had been standing there for a few minutes before they entered the restaurant, while servers walked passed me & those near the bar area made eye contact and went back to their duties. Another couple then came into the restaurant and were waiting beside me to be seated, a different server emerged and started walking towards us, she then asked if I had already been helped and got me seated at a table and got menus & drinks while I waited for my friend to arrive. Once she arrived our server got her drink order and checked to see if we need anything while we look over the menu. We noticed they have an updated menu with all the same favorites. My friend ordered the Angel Hair Pasta w/ Italian Sausage with a cup of soup to start, and I ordered the Garlic Roasted Ribeye with Jalapeno Cheddar Mashed Potatoes & Seasonal Veggies with a house salad to start. The food was good not quite as good as I had anticipated. My friends pasta was over sauced, too much sauce for the amount of pasta. My steak had too much demi glaze on it; I did wipe most of it off and I will order it on the side next time. My steak was cooked slightly under what I requested but still good. We were so stuffed that we did not even want to look at the dessert menu. I probably will go back, but I will wait a bit before we return.

The building itself is lovely, set in the historic Pickering Lumber office built in 1924. Since it was a weekday, the atmosphere was calm and there were plenty of seats available. Everything we tried was delicious. My daughter, who is obsessed with bacon-wrapped dates, spotted them on the specials menu and insisted we order them. Thankfully, they didn't disappoint--the sweet dates were wrapped in perfectly crisp, salty bacon. I wondered if there was an extra ingredient inside the dates, or if their sweetness was all natural--either way, they were outstanding! My man and his daughter split a burger and fries, which they both enjoyed. Planning to share with my own daughter, I asked the server how many toasts came with the avocado toast. She replied, "One." Expecting a small portion, I also ordered a beet salad with goat cheese, tomatoes, and pistachios - so flavorful! When my daughter's avocado toast arrived, it was so large it had to be cut in half. The toast was generously topped with avocado slices and various drizzles, making it look almost extravagant. She couldn't finish it but said it was tasty. I was too full from my salad to sample it myself. Overall, the dishes were great, and the place was nice for lunch. The service was prompt. I have no complaints.
