I provided a detailed crawlspace scope document and specific questions beforehand because the work needed to meet NFIP insurance documentation requirements. Jorge sent an estimate that was a generic Xactimate report that did not address the scope provided or answer the written questions I sent multiple times. It concluded the structure was "dry" but included no inspection documentation or moisture readings. The work authorization also listed a contractor license that is expired, and when I asked for the active license number and contracting entity, I was directed to the CSLB search page rather than being given the information requested. After several weeks of trying to resolve these issues, I requested a refund for the estimate fee.

The water supply to the refrigerator's ice maker failed and water soaked through the floor, insulation and into the crawl space. Unfortunately it wasn't noticed for several days and a large area was soaked. A ServPro contract was signed to mitigate and repair the damage.  After the insulation was removed and the sub-floor dried, replacing all of the insulation was delayed because some of the ground was too muddy to work. The project manager informed me he would let me know when the workers would return. Several weeks went by without receiving an update.  I then texted him a request for an update on the work. After not getting a reply for two more weeks, I had to find someone at ServPro to express my dissatisfaction on lack of communication and  work progress. Management got involved and was able to schedule the final phase to be completed in two weeks later. This is not acceptable; customers should not be kept in the dark or have to go up the management chain to complete a job.
