This Vet sent me a survey to fill out and I did just that, told them exactly how I felt on issues I had over the years with my (2) Boston Terriers and how I felt how they handled things with over charging me. One of the things was my one Boston's was bothering with her one ear. Called to get her in and they told me that would be a Urgent care appointment Ok so give me an appointment than I am told it is $30.00 more and they could not get me in for a week. So I am being charged more and have to wait a week WOW. The bill for them to tell me she had an ear infection with a test and medicine cost me $207.00. Another time took my Boston in to be fixed, she had just had her cycle and was just over it and did not bleed the whole day before or on the ride over there but when I was getting ready to eave her there she dropped ONE spot of blood on the table and was told because she did that it was ANOTHER $75.00. The list goes on so instead of calling me and discussing my issues on a survey that they sent me to fill out and answer honestly , they called and told me they were closing my account and I would have to take my dogs elsewhere. Well ya know what I am sure that there is another vet around that would love to take care of my dogs that would not come up with all these ridiculous added charges. So be very careful when you fill out THEIR survey because if you have complaints they don't want to hear them, they will just close your account. I am glad they did that, they are WAY overpriced anyways. Can't wait to hear their response on this survey and their lies to show they were in the right. read more

This vet is a warm and caring person who truly wants to help heal your animal. I took my four year old dog there (we aren't from this area) while visiting northern Michigan for vacation. My dog was previously misdiagnosed and this vet, Dr. Smith, correctly diagnosed her. It was sad news that he delivered to me. He stayed over an hour after closing time to give my daughter a chance to drive up and say her final good-bye to my sweet girl. It was clear to me that the doctor was as sad as I was and agreed with me that her kidney failure could not be reversed. It was a tough decision to put her down but his warm and compassionate, Christian way made it a beautiful passing instead of tragic. read more

I called and explained we just moved to the area and need a new vet. At the time my cat was coughing so I wanted her respiratory system checked And her nails trimmed. They explained they are busy so if it'a an emergency please contact the ER vet clinic in an adjacent town. I didn't think it was an emergency so I scheduled with them for a week later. After the vet (Scott Smith) examined my cat he told me her respiratory system sounded good but he would also like to do some blood work. He said it appears she has periodontal disease - grade 4 and that she had a bad cavity in a tooth and it would need to be removed. I requested an estimate. Another hour went by and still no estimate or cat (I was waiting in the car due to COVID). I called back in and stated I had been waiting 2 hours and would they be done soon? They said they would have someone bring her out after I paid the bill. I said OK, How much do I owe you. The receptionist stated todays charges were 299.00! I was shocked and asked the details of the billing. Bottom line I was charged 89.00 for an ER appointment, 120.00 for blood work, and the remainder was meds she needed. Since they still hadn't done the blood work I told them to forget it. In additions, I have two different estimates to have her teeth cleaned and the tooth extracted. One ranges from 511.05 to 848.65 and the second was 769.80 to 1271.20. This place is a JOKE! Seriously UNPROFESSIONAL and disorganized! No, Thanks! They just lost a new client. I took my cat to my old vet down state and was told that cavity was plaque which my old vet popped right off with her finger nail. She also stated my cat does not have periodontal disease! WB Veterinary Services may have been a good business a few years ago but they aren't now and Scott Smith needs to go back to veterinary school. read more

i highly recommend them. my dog Max had 13 teeth removed last week. they did a great job. and very reasonable cost. my son and myself called all over michigan most other vets wanted a ton of money just to see him. Max was my mothers dog and she passed away two months ago. I live pay check to pay check. I did not want Max to suffer with tooth pain and decided to borrow and do payments. I am so very grateful that I had enough and did not have to get a loan. Thank you. read more

My opinion is that this clinic is despicable, although I think negligent is the correct word for when a loved one has surgery and the staff leaves surgical instruments inside him. All we wanted was an apology, and they refused to even admit that they had done anything wrong. I miss him deeply, and will never forgive this clinic or it's staff for what they did. Laws need to be changed so that the punishment for veterinary negligence is more than just the replacement cost of the animal. If it had been a person, this would have had a completely different conclusion. I implore anyone who loves their pet not to entrust them to the 'care' of this clinic. read more

My little dog, Apple, was seriously ill and this Veterinary Hospital was highly recommended. It was an hour away but I felt it was a good choice in this situation. From the moment I walked in the door I knew Apple was in good hands. The staff was truly on top of everything and after the first 24 hours Apple was showing signs of improvement. I received 4 follow-up calls and then she was seen after 7 days of being home. I received 2 additional follow-up calls as to her progress. I highly recommend this facility and its professional, caring staff. read more

I took my dog to West Branch Vet. to obtain a Health Certificate so he could fly. The staff was very professional and caring. My dad is a retired vet and I've seen some pathetic and some terrific clinics. This clinic is the latter. I'd definitely take my dog there again. read more

My friend needed to have his cat put down on a holiday weekend. My guess is that only the lower vets were working that weekend. Just a "guess". The cat was in tremendous pain and very very distressed. The cat has always been an indoor cat and my friend's beloved companion for over 14 years. The vet was in distress over the cat being uncooperative and very scared as a result of being taken from his protected home for the first time ever and being in excruciating pain. This vet came out with electric shears and proceeded to try to turn the cat upside down and shave the back leg for the injection. The poor thing bit its owner in a frenzy of unbelievable chaos. Short story short, this bite resulted in my friend needing to leave his companion there so that the vet could freeze his cat, remove the head on Monday and send the head to be checked for disease. My friend was told that he could retrieve the body on Monday but to refrain from opening the container.There are better ways to put a beloved animal down. Why didn't this vet use an alternative method. The cost was an additional $100 for the head test. The cost was certainly not a problem. My friend would have paid so much more for a dignified alternative way to have his companion put to sleep. If there were a lower rating than one star, it would given. read more

Our cat was in kidney and liver failure. He would not eat for 2 days, and was declining rapidly. We tried to reach someone in Houghton Lake, the emergency Dr. was from Gaylord, way too far to travel him, and would not travel here. Very disappointing. After numerous calls and tears, we found Dr. Scott Smith. He drove over that same day on Sunday and helped him cross over. He was so efficient and caring, and our Pretty Boy had no stress or pain. I took my cat in and they took tests and gave her special food and we took her back because she would not eat drink or use the litter nox and they gave her an ivy. They said you should put her in the hospital. I said NO I am not sending any more money on this cat. and the vet then decided to tell me that the cat had kidney failure and was dying anyway. After 500 dollars worth of work, and nothing has been done. read more
