Kevin West is a true Master Barber. Look in the mirror while he is cutting your hair. He is intense, fully locked in on his work, like a gifted surgeon. He obviously takes great pride in his art and his skills. I try not to interrupt Kevin with small talk, any more than I would interrupt a gifted sculptor or, for that matter, a champion golfer. Time to chat isbefore he starts and/or after he finishes his work. The result, every tme, is a perfect haircut. read more

Hi, just wanted to share the Good News from when I visited this location for a simple line up. First off, I thank the Lord God Jesus Christ for the folks working at this location. They were not money hungry and trying to play inflation games by charging me $90 for a lineup like others down the street (who I will not mention, God bless them). Barber "Anna" provided excellent service as she was kind, honest an has the Love of God in her. The service and vibe was a blessing when I visited. May the Blessed Redeemer, Son of The Living God, Lord God almighty, The King of Kings and Lord of Lords Jesus Christ bless everyone who works here, God bless you all read more

Never come here. we asked for a haircut that has a long front and Anna basically buzzed it. How do you mess it up that bad.

Great little barber shop. Anna rules . Don't forget to tip big and be nice, ya turkeys!

I didn't realize that Kevin and his team also did womens hair cuts, but I was in the area and got an amazing trim. They are incredibly professional and very fast!! Highly recommend read more

Visiting from out of town and didn't have time to get a haircut before the trip - glad I stopped by! Anna did a fantastic job, great attention to detail on the beard trim especially. read more

Was in town for my wife's company Christmas party and needed a cut. I looked for a barbershop because I wanted a shave and beard trim as well.easily booked an appointment online which is always a plus as I really don't like talking to people. Showed up and the owner, Kevin was my guy. The place is very well decorated and not froo froo. I loved the old barber chairs that still had ash trays in the arm rest. Kevin did a great job cutting my hair and trimmed my goatee better than I ever have. Next was a straight razor shave which is getting harder to find these days. Great job, great atmosphere and I wish we had this in Dallas. read more

My man was in desperate need of some serious self-care! The covid situation has been terrible for all of us trying to maintain our routines. We recently moved to the area and he definitely chose the right barber shop. Thanks so much for cleaning up my man! LoL! He looks so much better and he will be a returning client From what he shared with me, the establishment is very clean and they took appropriate covid prevention measures & sanitary protocols, thank you for that also! read more

What a great experience. Jennifer is an incredibly talented stylist! Highly recommend Thanks so much! read more

THIS Barber Shop has been around for generations!!!! Rather you need a dope haircut or just a simple beard trim, line up. You have to give this place a try. I've been coming here now for at least 6 months now and enjoy the experience each time. Try it out and let me know your read more

I recently started working full-time and wanted to find a barber shop that could give me a great cut that looks professional but also stylish. I tried out several barber shops in Midtown, Downtown and Buckhead, but nothing comes close to West Barber Shop. I made an appointment with Kevin on his website for a haircut, beard trim, and straight razor hot shave. For the haircut, not only does Kevin have incredible attention to detail when cutting your hair, but he also does a straight razor shave on the back of your neck, blow drys your hair after the cut to make sure you don't leave the barbershop shedding hair, and styles your hair with product. Kevin cut my hair so that I looked great when I stepped out of the barbershop, but I also looked great after my hair grew a little bit after a couple of weeks. For the beard trim and hot shave, Kevin made sure to blend my beard up to the side burns and he lined up the check and neck lines perfectly. The straight razor hot shave was incredible. He warms your face with a hot towel, and you get a super close, clean shave with a straight razor. You can tell that Kevin and the rest of his team treats their customers well because as I was sitting waiting for my haircut, clients would walk in and chat with Kevin or another stylist as if they've been friends for years. West Barber Shop feels like an Atlanta landmark with a signed picture of Coach Paul Johnson at Kevin's styling station and an Atlanta United championship banner in the waiting area next to the nice leather couches. I will definitely be coming back to West Barber Shop. read more

Wanted to like this place but they could care less about you or your time. I've made at least three online appointments only to show up and have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for the stylist to show up. At my last appointment (also made online) the stylist failed to show up at all. I was told that another stylist would cut my hair but I would've to wait until the other two people in the shop had been served. What is the point of taking appointments if you don't intend to keep them? This was the last straw, and I won't be back. read more

I've been coming here for over a year for my haircut and beard line up. The ambience is awesome, very warm staff. Make sure to make an appointment on the website. I'm Indian, so I'm a pretty hairy dude, and I love coming here because he always uses a knife to get the back of my neck and my beard line up. And, his hair products are great. I always get a sweet styling at the end. read more

Kevin was my guy before the pandemic and still is. I was very satisfied with the safety protocols that have been put in place while we wait for this coronavirus to blow over. They took my temperature, sanitized my hands, disinfected all equipment, and most importantly made sure that everyone had a mask on. Payment was contactless. I was able to get my usual haircut, which after all these months had me looking and feeling great, and I felt secure that I'd had a safe experience. read more

Krissy is awesome! Came here after everything was shut down during Covid. They were one of the first to reopen. They followed all safety protocols and did a great job. I recently moved a little farther away but will make the drive when it's time for my next hair cut. read more

Best haircut I've ever had, made an appointment online for David West, nice facility, got exactly the haircut I wanted and needed. He fixed the errors from my last barber shop. A lot of attention to detail. Used different techniques including cutting the extra hair fuzz on top with a razor and sing texturizing scissors. Very impressed and 25$ for a professional hair stylist level haircut, worth more than that. Totally worth it. read more

Best haircut and barbershop experience I have had in a long time. Not a super "hip" or "trendy" set up in the shop although it's nice and comfortable. The quality of the barbers and the cuts is top notch. Even though I live in Morningside and there are closer barbershops to me, I will be going out of my way to go back to West Barber Shop. read more

Ive tried a lot of barbershops in the Atlanta area and Kevin is the best. Especially for the price. You really can't beat this place!

Best barbershop in town. I've been coming here for years and refuse to go anywhere else. The place has the feel of a good old fashioned barber shop and can handle anything from a simple trim to hooking you up with a dope new style. read more

This is a great barbershop. I go here most times I need a haircut. The staff are nice and there aren't allowing anyone to sit until their barber is ready. That said the last couple times I've been here, I've had to listen to the other clients getting their cut spout nonsense conspiracy theories about coronavirus or other BS loud enough everyone in the room has to hear them, and/or these clients don't observe social distancing from other people. I don't really like having to sit through this. I hope if you go to this barber please keep your mouth shut and or be a pleasant person. read more

Chrissy did an absolutely amazing job on my cut / shave. Felt more confident than ever. Friendly atmosphere and over all an amazing experience. read more

Oh wait you thought I was done?!? This is at least my 3rd 5-star review for Kevin West. The man is a haircut magician. Turn into the parking lot between Zunzi's and Domino's. It's directly ahead of you. Make sure to book an appointment online! read more

This is an old fashion barber shop. A hair cut is $17 (as of Feb '09) and they do a good job (at least this review is based off of one experience). The guys there look like they've been around for a while, they have 3 chairs here. The place has a old style feeling. They also offer beard trims and shaves. read more

Took my brother for there for haircut. Easy to make appointment. Great service. I recommend to get this place cleaned and it smell little smoke. But everything else was good. read more

It had been years since I last used this shop. Stopped by last Saturday and took whoever was available. It was my lucky day! Maria did an excellent job cutting my unruly hair. She knew right away that, in order to do the job right, she would need to use scissors instead of electric shears. I have paid a lot more for a LOT worse results. Nothing shady about the place. This is a classic 50-60's style shop. It's been there since I came to ATL in 1974. While I was there two people stopped by to say hi and talk w/o getting haircuts. I'll be going back in 30 days. read more

Having been on the road a good bit over the past year, I've gotten my haircut in all sorts of places. However, I recently changed jobs and have enjoyed being at home much more. Although, what I didn't have was a barber shop I could rely on.....but that has all changed ever since I was told about West Barber shop by a coworker of mine. I wasn't sure what to expect when I first walked in, but after having visited, I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather go! The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, and they clearly have a strong following as the place was full on a Saturday morning, but despite the crowd, there wasn't much of a wait at all. It just so happens that when it was my turn, the owner (Kevin) asked me to come over to his chair. I told him how I "normally" get my haircut, but after a quick evaluation if you will, he suggested that I let him try something a bit different.....the result? Hands down the BEST haircut I can remember! Oh, the hot towels, razor neck shave, and back massage were all fantastic, and included in the $18 price. I only mention that because I've been to places like Sport Clips that charge extra for those services, but not here. Overall, West Barber shop is a great spot to check out, and miles ahead of all the "chains". They provide old-school service and awesome haircuts, and I would be hard pressed to go anywhere else from now on. read more

Price: Great Service: Quick and painless I got a haircut, beard trim bd shave. I will be returning on a regular basis. They cut all hair types which is great. read more

Former long time customer... usually make appointments a week in advance. Last month, the stylist never showed up or called to say they weren't going to be in that day so couldn't get a scheduled haircut. Today, I had an appointment scheduled at business open and the same stylist never showed up to open the store. 20 minutes of waiting and knocking on the door and no answer. So I left. Get a call 5 minutes after I leave from the stylist saying she was "there the whole time waiting" which wasn't true. The lights were off and the door was locked. Really disappointed there is no accountability from the owner for his stylist's lack of responsibility, integrity, and professionalism. read more

Great barber shop! I'm very picky and it's hard to find a place that does a good job consistency but Kevin and his crew are top notch. They really care about the end result. I highly recommend West Barber Shop if you are looking for a quality cut. read more

I loved the hot tovel!! Soooo professional! Kevin treated me on a great way. I'll definitely be back

Dropped in after the COVID crisis to get a trim. Ended up with hair worse than I started with. Not impressed. My regular barber didn't even try to take me for the cut so I ended up with someone who I'd never had before. Explained what I wanted and sat down. He spun me around so I couldn't see my cut and do any corrections as he worked as he was unfamiliar with my head. After being handed mirror, notes feathering still on the sides, so he worked on that. After 20 minutes in the chair, next viewing was approved...just ready to go. So why not impressed? Uneven cut, didn't pay attention to the area and manner I asked it to be cut as, ZERO conversation...from anyone in the shop and $30 freakin' dollars for a trim?!? Get real. It's a dark, depressing, zero fun place to go. No conversation at all and frankly, an unprofessional and pretentious shop. It doesn't take much to make a customer feel welcome, but this place doesn't even try. Pretentious is a pretty accurate word. You're a barbershop...not some depressing techno-euro hangout. Act like it. No, it doesn't have to be "Cheers" environment but if you're going to charge top dollar then treat your customers better and friendlier. It's not that hard. read more

Kevin is a really skilled barber and he always keeps his appointment times. His shop is a relaxing, no-pressure atmosphere and his staff always seem to be in a good mood as well. I hope this business is around for many more years to come. read more

Cannot say enough great things about this barber shop. Kevin (owner) is as professional as they come. I recently moved to Atlanta and made an appointment with West Barber Shop. About an hour prior to my appointment Kevin called me to inform me he was in traffic and would be 15 minutes late to our appointment. (Traffic is HORRIBLE in Atlanta) That is a common courtesy that, sadly, is lost today. Once Kevin arrived (15 minutes late as he informed me) he was very apologetic and made me feel like a priority. On to the haircut, Kevin is a Pro's pro! I showed him a picture of what I wanted and we talked about it, i listened to his expertise and about 30 minutes later I came out of the chair with a perfect haircut. Really made me feel good! I'd recommend West Barber Shop to anyone looking for a great haircut with great people who know how to cut hair. 5 Stars all the way! read more

Krissy might of had the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Felt like she didn't want to cut my hair as soon as I got there. Once she started cutting she acted like she was done after cutting two or three hairs. After letting her know I wanted to take more hair off she rushed the entire hair cut. She also left hair all over my face and practically escorted me out of the door just to go sit back in her car, which is where I had to find her to get my haircut in the first place. Maybe she was having a bad day, I don't know. read more
