I wish they had more programming for very young children- my son is 20 months and there never seems to be much offered for his age group. Everything is either for babies six to eighteen months or older kids. And everything for his age group is always at 10 AM on weekdays. Great for stay at home mothers not so much for working mothers. Too bad they were closed for renovations when I was on maternity leave in late 2021- early 2022. That would have been the only time I could have taken him to those programs

They also have a good amount of adult programs and a couple of event rooms. It's a good size with a decent selection of books, dvds, and cds. Anything they don't have can be reserved from other Suffolk county libraries and send there.

Today was my third visit and the first time was a lot of HS kids, the second was very pleasant, and today was the worst!! Cellphones, dial up, and I had to ask the librarians to be quiet so I could work. Then, they had the audacity to be snippy about me in earshot. They should be embarrassed, they are a disgrace to the profession. I won't be back. There are other far nicer libraries.

I'm impressed by this school , the campus and facility! The school has a long history, well established within the Long Island community, and a diverse curriculum. The school tour was educational and the guide was given by students; some are better presenters then others. Overall it was worth the visit.

I have unfortunately witnessed staff mocking disabled students, gossip, and lack of professional boundaries w/ students (i.e., romantic relationships). FSC is known to have MANY concerning staff members who have been found guilty of serious misconduct. They either get swept under the rug, or get shuffled to the next SUNY school. Most misconduct goes unreported because the staff members are all "friends." And if you are a student reporting such misconduct? Good luck. You will face hostility, blame, and retaliation.

She was so sweet and she got up and went and found the book for me and brought it back to the desk! She couldn't have been nicer and more helpful! She even took the time to tell us about a summer program that Suffolk County is running in the libraries. I didn't get her name but the woman who checked out my book was very nice too. Copiague has a very nice library!
