WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX EVER!!!! I have never had the problems with an apartment then I did here. between the office never answering or being helpful unless they are HOUNDING you about renewing. They will take packages into the office and never notify you of it unless you go looking for it. They have even lost 2 of my packages now that i can't get money back for. Maintenance is never helpful, have been waiting on a new part for my window to work for months now with no update. The pool and gym have been closed my entire lease even though it's something that's paid for in the rent. If anyone parks in your parking spot that you pay for, YOU can't call the tow company to get your spot back, only the complex can which never happens either. Elevators are always down or not working properly. The views and units here are NOT worth it. read more

West 6th has been terrible since the day I moved in. Two weeks prior to move-in, they had a pipe burst which flooded almost the entirety of Tower #1. It has been 6 months since move-in, and there hasn't been a single day where the complex hasn't been inundated with some sort of construction crews, protective covering in the elevators, open holes in the walls of various hallways, and just general messiness caused by constant and continuous construction. They have been advertising a "$2 million renovation project" which could be the culprit of most of the construction, but I find it hilarious that it seems none of that $2 million was budgeted towards fixing the always-problematic elevators. Constant noise (construction during the day, parties at night), frequent water shutoffs, an indescribable amount of parking garage chaos (not to mention my car got broken into and robbed and W6 doesn't have adequate cameras), shootings, loud parties, lax security that doesn't take anything seriously, etc. Maintenance is fine from what I've experienced and honestly, other than the nice view, maintenance is the only thing I can mark in the "Pro" column. Don't get up your high horse though, W6, everything else here is garbage. When we signed our lease (1/2020) we were told that the renovation construction would be started and completed by the time we moved in (08/2020). Instead, we've been dealing with these renovations since we moved in. I come home from work and class every day wondering how I got tricked into signing a lease to live at an active construction site. Remember how you promised that by move-in time you'd have a valet trash system too? I do, but you probably don't. Signs that say "pardon my dust" don't mean anything. W6 knows the problems they have, and to subdue the insane amount of complaints they get, they gave all residents $500 rent credit. Meanwhile, they actively run marketing campaigns offering potential new lessors an ENTIRE MONTH of rent for free with some units costing upwards of $4000 a month. That should be completely flipped. We, the current residents that have to deal with all these problems, deserve a free month of rent, and you can go offer whatever money you have left over to marketing and advertising for future lessors. What a joke. Just shows how much these dense people down in the leasing office actually care about their residents. If you choose to tour W6, listen to nothing they say and just take in information with what you can physically observe. If they show you the full complex, your observations are going be of an old and dying complex trying to extend it's shelf life with a bad and surface level $2 million facelift. Do a bit of digging and you'll find out what this place truly has to offer; cool views and nothing more. Imagine a tall Motel 6. read more

Leanne at the leasing office is by far the best property manager I have ever met, I've lived here for over 4 years and multiple units. Any time I've ever had an issue she's been there fix it and do everything in her power to make me happy. Love the management staff here. read more

DO NOT LIVE HERE. unless you can put up with the following: - annoying college kids that would trash up the place on a daily basis. (beer cans/spilled smoothies/god knows what all over the elevator floor) - paying thousands of dollars for your apartment and end up with a broken ac as soon as you move- in in september. (happened 3 times already during my 18 months of living here). - having a so called "luxury apartment" with stained curtains and dirty wooden cabinets upon moving in. - having to deal with broken elevators (1,2 or all 3 of them not working) every single month. (no exaggeration) in that case you will have to try and access the (keyless) stairs if you're lucky and hope that the stairs door from your apartment hall is open (goodluck if you live in the 30th floor) , if its not open go back down and hangout with the homeless people outside on mill av. Moral of the story: spend your $2000/month in a place that actually appreciates you as a resident and gives you your basic rights such as accessing your apartment whenever you want and having ac when its hot in the summer. we are not asking for much. this place is a complete failure. read more

By far the worst apartment experience I have ever had. The issues are constant here, and maintenance will not come for weeks after you submit a request. I have had a bug infestation that they still haven't came to fix, I haven't taken a warm shower in over a week, and the list can go on. Moved into unit and dish washer was moldy and unusable. Took complex over a month to replace. August 1st. - No air conditioning all day due to building water problems. August 2nd. - Spare bedroom bathroom faucet pouring water onto floor, faucet had to be replaced. August 7th - AC unit went out again. August 9th - Stackable Dryer died at 2:42AM, unit wasn't replace with order completed unit August 13th 4:54pm. August 20th - AC unit goes out again - repaired burnt wire ends replaced contactor for compressor. will schedule a system flush for next week (Maintenance Notes). Maintenance did not come back as entered in their own ticket, and the unit died at a later date. August 23rd - No hot water or water pressure due to building problems. September 3rd - 4AM reported bedroom roof leak. Entire bedroom ceiling had to be replaced. It took the staff from September 3rd to September 9th to complete work on my room, the entire time I had to sleep in my workout room. September 9th - AC unit goes out again due to bad contactor. (maintenance knew about the issue but waited until unit died to fix problem. This put me without AC again for a full day.) October 21st. - Bedroom roof leak yet again. Blinds were finally fixed in January!! Fire alarm goes off constantly. When it goes off plan on it going off for an extra on average two hours after the firemen have left. It has been one thing after another with this place. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. As of posting this review I have been without hot water in my place for two days with maintenance refusing to contact me about the issue. read more

All amenities have been closed for practically my entire lease. You're lucky if more than one elevator in Tower 2 is working sometimes takes up to 30 minutes just to get to and from my apartment. If the elevators are working don't be shocked to smell awful odors. My friend had a verbal commitment for a new lease (Don't know why he'd want to live here again) and waiting for them to email it to him, they told him multiple times they would email it to him they never did. He just found out that it was given away and they have no more availability so he has short notice to find a new place. His bedroom has been flooded for more than two months and he's been stuck living in the living room. The two stars are for the parties here if you aren't a college student looking for parties every night don't live here. Not a family friendly community as they're constantly parties and hard drugs done in areas including common areas. read more

This place sucks. 1) The utilities break all the time. Ive had to have my A/C repaired 4 or 5 times. When you turn the hot water on in the shower, there is often a violent pulsing in the shower pipes that makes a lot of noise. Sometimes i hear it in my apartment coming from nearby units, too. The water also squirts in every direction except where its pointing. (At least mine does). I've also had water leak onto my bed from the ceiling. 2) The amenities are closed half the time, but you still pay for them. The pool and gym I couldnt use for many months. 3) Elevators routinely break and youre stuck waiting for the one that works. 4) Too often the fire alarm has gone off for no apparent reason. 5) They have entered my apartment unannounced too many times. The combination of scheduled inspections and excessive entrances for repairs makes it like a guessing game when they might come. The good part is the location. But, overall, this is a horribly managed and horribly constructed building. read more

Mold, broken elevators, thugs, terrible mgmt, good/safe are but still has thieves aka DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE LOL I'm writing this review an entire year after I moved out of West 6th bc upon my move out of my current apartment it seemed like everything was just a breeze, then I realized it was bc my last move (from w6) was such a JOKE. I moved into W6 the first year that it was open. I lived in tower one in the three bedroom three bath unit, gorgeous 180deg view overlooking Mill Ave/ASU. My friend lived three floors below me in the exact unit and when I was at her place she started telling me about how the ceiling in the master bedroom and the ceiling in the kitchen started dripping water, she said "be careful it's happened to everyone below me, it'll probably start happening to you guys soon." I informed mgmt that I'd like to get the problem checked out. They suggested I fill out a formal work order online so that it gets checked out... Of course NOTHING gets taken care of. Dec. water started coming out of our ceilings. So I called down and told mgmt they needed to get someone up ASAP. The maintenance guy comes up and PAINTS over it. EVERYONE knows with water comes MOLD! The leak kept coming and every time we would file a work order he would come and paint over it, it wasn't until my roommate and I were moving something's around in her closet when we discovered there was mold growing ALL over her CLOSET, are you effing kidding me?! Unfortunately for us this was when the leasing office wasn't open on Sundays so we found the maintenance guy on duty and all he could do was put a tarp over it, until someone could assess the situation. It was like talking to a WALL with these people. Low and behold what did they find, MOLD! Mold, mold, mold EVERYWHERE and we had to move out of our apartment for TWO MONTHS while our apartment was getting new walls, air quality detection etc. Worst part was mgmt kept lying to us saying "Oh you'll get to move back in this week..." and the contractors told us we'd be out for a WHILE. We had to stay on the 9th floor in the "suites" where they made us feel COMPLETELY unwelcome. When I went down to the office to ask if someone could please fix the internet, the snobby leasing mgr goes "it works, I set it up, I know, you're clearly doing something wrong" only for her to go up again to find it wasn't working. SO RUDE. While we were displaced we of course didn't have to pay rent but... really that's all that you're going to do for us? Any "high end luxury" apartment complex would go far beyond that to compensate for the things that we had to endure, with hopes to avoid any type of legal action, but not West 6th. After we finally moved back in I was given an notice saying I hadn't paid rent and that what was due had doubled since it had been 60 days since my last payment. LOL I DIDN'T EVEN LIVE THERE! Mgmt does a pretty vigorous future resident screening process, yet they constantly let people in that cannot or should not be living there. For example my first neighbor often threw parties loud into the night, never had a job, and my roommates and I constantly heard loud knocking deep into various nights. We just assumed he was a drug dealer bc he fit the criteria etc. NOPE he actually robs banks, and we discovered that when the SWAT team started breaking down his door, as he was wanted for armed robbery. Mgmt of west sixth; how'd you miss that on your "proof of income" that each one of the residents had to fill out. I don' t think "bank robbing" as an occupation seems fit? Okay moving on to my SECOND neighbor (ps this all happened on the same floor) He was a total partier/druggie. We'd ALWAYS call security on him bc he would knock on our door in the middle of the night after we told him many times we were NOT interested in hangin out. You'd think after hmm I don't know maybe 10 complaints against him, mgmt would do something about it NOPE. But he did eventually move out, and you want to know when it was? When he DIED BC HE OVERDOSED ON HEROIN IN HIS APARTMENT. This part SERIOUSLY disgusts me. Maybe if this kid had gotten EVICTED like he should've his parents would've gotten an idea of how bad his problem was. MGMT HERE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. They DO NOT honor your lease agreements and when you bring it up and fight it they bring their lawyers into it, even when you are in the right. Pipes are EXTREMELY bad bc that building SAT there and then they tried to finish it so quickly they didn't do it the RIGHT way. I was forced to MOVE OUT for a week when a pipe exploded and ruined tower 1 in May 2013, and of course mgmt proved to be assholes, SURPRISE. One of the windows shattered due to heat (and it happens A LOT) they just fail to mention it. And they just left the glass ALL OVER the "dog park" If you're not waiting for the elevators it's probably bc you're stuck in one LOL. DONT DO IT read more

Major issues, I would avoid signing a long lease here. All three elevators barely work at the same time in tower 2, windows go months sometimes longer without being cleaned (so much for the nice views) and most units have been having hot/cold and water pressure issues for nearly half of the year. Management is out of their depth with the complexities of the building and inundated with service requests to properly address all of the issues. Save your money, pay premium rent at other properties that are well ran. read more

Can't go wrong with the location and the views but the management office is highly incompetent. They used to be good but the service has almost become non-existent. Also there are a lot of "children" who live here and treat the place like it is their own personal garbage can. Update 2 years later - this place has officially fallen to complete garbage. I have never seen such incompetence in a staff and the maintenance staff is non-existent. Seriously I'm not just saying this, the people that work in the office here do not care at all if something is amiss. They will simply deflect you and will not communicate what they are doing to fix problems, which occur on a monthly basis and take weeks to fix if fixed at all. And as others have said the elevators are always broken. It's pathetic. If you're a working professional or a "responsible" student, go some place else. You will be sorely disappointed. read more

West 6th was the worst apartment and most expensive complex I lived in during my time as a student at ASU. The building was a bankrupt project that used to be known as Centerpoint. It was eventually completed and opened as West 6th and it has a long list of problems. Elevators are one consistent issue in this building and that's a BIG problem when you only have 3 elevators serving over 20 floors per tower and 4 levels of underground parking. There were multiple instances where the building was down to one elevator, including the day I had to move out! The biggest disaster during the two years I lived at W6 was when a pipe broke a caused massive flood damage from the 8th floor down. This all occurred the week of my college graduation and I was displaced for 6 days. Even when I was able to move back in, the effects of the water damage only augmented the mechanical issues that this building has that never seem to be resolved. When you go to management for answers or with an issue they simply brush it off, they never offer any good will to their residents. To them, it's not a place that you call home, it's a business and they do not care. It's loud, full of mechanical issues, you're helpless when you're dissatisfied, and it's expensive. I've been living here for 3 months now and have really enjoyed my time so far. My apartment offers great views, luxury, and an impeccable location. The leasing office has been great and always been there for any questions or requests I had for them, no matter how many times I came asking. What I'd like to highlight in particular is someone from their maintenance staff, Alvin. My sink would not drain recently and I put in a work order for it and he was here the next day ready to help. He was extremely professional, friendly, and most importantly got the job done. This man needs a raise. This building has massive safety problems. The elevators are constantly breaking and often fall an entire floor or two when they get stuck. It is not uncommon for not a single elevator to be functioning. I have been living here almost a year and my windows have yet to get washed. The parking garage is horribly designed and my car has been damaged as a result. It will probably cost me $1000 to repair it. It is a real shame because the views are beautiful. I do not understand why they cannot fix it up but it has gotten worse, not better, since I moved in in summer 2012. read more

I've lived here for a year now, besides the view and gym this building has nothing to offer. I've been in 3 different rooms with west 6th in the last year, each with very few working appliances/outlets. The steam room is never working, the tanning beds are never cleaned so good luck with that, then my biggest issue is the fact that security will lock you outside for an entire night if you forget your key, no exceptions. If I could get a full refund that'd be cool. Oh yeah and breaking a lease here is nearly impossible, they also increase rent every three months. Also they hired a private towing company to make some side cash, if you get towed you'll end up picking up your car from a trailer park with kids jumping up and down on your car. (My experience being towed 3 times). Oh yeah and there have been multiple suicides here that they failed to mention. read more

I read the reviews before we moved in (July 2013), and had to admit I was a little concerned about some of the things I read. Still, it was a step up from our previous place and cheaper to boot. I have experienced none of the concerns that others have complained about. I find the management to be professional and responsible. I did hear a few residents complaining about one of the female managers and how she imposes BS fines for minor stuff, but I have not personally experienced any of that. So far, I have met and made friends with other residents as a direct result of community events the management puts on. Maintenance is responsive, professional and friendly and everything seems to be kept clean. The elevators are slow at times, but never to the point where it has become a problem. We had a neighbor above us who was very loud 0-typical rowdy college stuff. But we could only hear them when they were on the balcony. After witnessing a bottle being thrown off their balcony and reporting them, I am happy to say they no longer live here. My children love living here and have made a few friends in the building as well. From what I can tell, some of the negative reviews happened under different management. So, listen to the naysayers with a grain of salt. read more

Neighbors are quiet and friendly, I always feel safe. But El Hefe across the street is terrible! (So loud!) It is so close to campus though and the apartment looks great on the inside so it's worth dealing with the noise on the weekend. Only other draw back is that there is no guest parking. read more

Actually terrible. At first from about July to early September not much to report about, but lately things have just gotten to the point to where I have to post this review. I get that it is a college town and there will be some noise and rowdy people, but this has gotten out of hand. Security is pretty much a joke, not enforcing rules at all. The complex is crammed with people who don't even live there, during a global pandemic while they turn a blind eye. Loud cars all hours of the day, every day of the week. I have a friend who lives on the 16th floor who can also hear the loud cars, and I'm sure many others can hear it as well. Nobody does anything about it, and more and more people are getting fed up. I seriously hope they start cracking down and enforcing SOME sort of rules soon, because like I said, this is getting way out of hand. For the price you pay for this complex, things seriously need to be better. read more

Lived here a little over 2 years. Pros: 1. Beautiful view 2. friendly office staff 3. great pool and workout center (pool closes at midnight) 4. I found it to be quieter than most people say and unless fire alarms went off, didn't have trouble sleeping Cons: 1. elevators often breakdown and smell like booze 2. frequent fire alarms going off 3. parking lot is dangerous with people driving recklessly around blind corners 4. Late fees aren't bad but when they do occur the office staff can't do much about them, probably because W6 is run by big corporation 5. Not as much of a community feel as other complexes I've lived at in Tempe (aka don't get to know your neighbors as well.) In general, I moved here thinking it'd be a nice place for young professionals, but there are better options on mill. I don't regret my time here but looking forward to moving on. read more

I have lived here for almost 3 years and it is with my deepest regret, that I am moving. This was the best place ever. The amenities, staff, maintenance, crew, and management made it an overall great experience. The view is enchanting and the upgrades are state of the art. I am writing this review because the staff Danyelle, Dom, and Preon have been so amazing to me. Especially with traveling so often and needing help with packaging, cleaning services, business services where I held my training and interviews, wet sauna, state of the art gym with tons of equipment, the salt pool, and jacuzzi. I am really going to miss this place. I have never had any security issues but have an alarm installed. I live on the 20th floor and the view is gorgeous and breathtaking. I am sad to move but have to relocate for work. The rent is higher than the competition but well worth it. My apartment is available 2 bd/2 Bath, Corner lot where you can see Camelback mountain, downtown Phx, and South Mountain. Please reach out to the office if you are interested. I lived at W6 for just over 1.5 years left in Aug 2017. I'm not a student but enjoyed my time here. Two main things I will mention are LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION and VIEW, VIEW, VIEW. I could never get enough of the view - sunsets and sunrises. Being so central was awesome - Mill Ave, Tempe town lake and a drive away from Tempe Town Marketplace - lots of bars and places to eat. (Pita Pit and Ra Sushi get my thumbs up. Rula Bula for drinks was good too). Never had a problem with the staff - I mainly went down to get my packages but they were always nice to me. The pool was great - I used it a couple times and the gym had what I needed to work out - treadmill, bench etc. I enjoyed my time. Miss the views........... read more

Do not go to West 6th. West 6th's building is in shambles. They require maintenance for almost everything you can think of: gas, water, AC and especially the elevators. It's a running joke among all residents how bad everything is here and how the elevators are always down, making residents walk up to their high floor. Every week, there will be someone playing loud music, partying, or construction will be going on that will disrupt your sleep and study. Lastly, a thief attempted to steal the catalytic converter on my Prius, costing me hundreds in repair, and West 6th couldn't even provide me security footage, foot the bill, nor promise to do anything about it. All these issues and all West 6th has done is give me $500, barely half a month's rent. read more

First I wanna say I am not here in anger nor in frustration but only to help people from making the mistake I did. When I first heard about West 6th I was living in California and only had time to fly out for a weekend to tour and visit the property. When I got to the property they showed us everything there was that came with the property which was normal but what was not normal is they never had the desire to ask to take us to look at Tower two which was the tower I ended up moving into, we had only gone through tower one and the amenities besides the movie theater because it was broken, still is broken to the day I moved out and has been since June 1 2019. I then proceeded to sign my lease and move on with my life. Move in day came and they did not even give a walk through before I was handed my keys. I got my keys and proceeded into the apartment which looked as if there was a party thrown the night before and they did a quick sweep through I got the response of "We told you that we only had 48 hours to clean the unit , my bathroom door had a massive hole in it, which took 3 1/2 months to replace, the towel rack in the bathroom was broken and cheap ( the maintenance explained to me that they replaced it with a cheaper one to save money), they came in 5 different times to put it in the wall and it kept coming down which caused a hole in the wall and took 5 months to repair because they fixed it in November, and their excuse was " How heavy are your towels". Remember I moved in June 1 before the move in date for everyone August 15 but when everyone is moving as well, throughout the summer there are NO TRASH SHOOTS which mean people have to carry their trash inside the elevator which not only causes leakage from the bag, the elevators smell, but also the residents will pile their trash so high that the hallway door to outside is unable to open and there are trash bags sitting inside on the hallway floor with roaches and bugs coming into the tower. I read the reviews and the comments about the noise and I am in college and really don't mind it until there are hundreds of people in the lobby and it takes an hour and a half just to take my dog downstairs to pee in the dog area which insists of glass shards on the grass in the rocks and even on the sidewalks, I also called repeatedly and nothing ever changed. The residents do not take their dogs out and there has been multiple times where my family, boyfriend, friends, and myself have seen dogs pee inside of the building because they have not been taken out. It is daily that there is dog urine and fecal matters in the building. The elevators in tower two have 3 and if it's a good day 2 out of 3 will work but honestly it is very rare all three will work at the same time, not to mention I got stuck in one of them for over an hour and got out to have a violation because I was doing the pee bounce don't forget I am 120 pounds and have seen grown men weigh over 160 pounds jump in those things. There has been multiple times where all three elevators were broken one being during the coronavirus outbreak, Also let's talk about how the manager told the news that they were taking extra safety precautions and there were hand sanitizer stations in each tower, where? Where were those exactly? and I had to take the stairs multiple times 13 floors up with dried up puke and trash on each level which proceeded to make me late to school as well as work because it would take over an hour and a half to fix them. Parking situations are also a pain in the rear end, I was told that I had spots on P1 next to each other well something happened and it was entered in wrong well I got moved all the way down to P3 where the door to get into tower 2 is broken and there was 3 weeks where it was impossible to get into the building so either there was items stuck in the door so it wouldn't shut or you would have to go through another tower to get to your tower. The whole twelve months I have lived there that door has been broken ( the door would just push open and no fob to get into the building was needed.) I want to make this clear I lived in a one bed 1.5 bath on the 13th floor and it was 2,065 dollars a month. I have had multiple elevator tecs, maintenance staff, friends, and family repeatedly ask me what exactly have I been paying for and I am only in college but the amount of lack of respect for the residence and the building is disgusting. Not only that but the lack of respect the residents have in general like come on we all had parents act like an adult if your gonna live in a so called "luxury" complex. There is no care for how the building may look and the leasing office definitely acts like you are the problem if you have a problem. I wish someone would have told me all of this before I decided to make a decision but you live you learn and I am still grateful to be able to live here but definitely a waist of money and it definitely is not Luxury student living. read more

I have been living at W6 for the past two years and am going to miss this place once I graduate and move out. W6 is awesome and worth the price with everything you get. Having a beautiful pool, steam room, tanning beds and a full-size gym is amazing and I use them every day. The rooms are upscale and the views from every angle are jaw dropping. Not sure why other reviewers say the staff is not helpful. All of my roommates and myself have never had an issue dealing with the staff. They have always been friendly to use and provided us quick maintenance service whenever it was needed. read more

Moved in here expecting to get the exact like one the management showed me, signed lease and got keys all to open the door to a completely different layout. Horrible management. Every floor is always filled with papers they leave on vacant doors. Drinks are spilled in hallways and not cleaned up for weeks. Elevators are usually dirty from drinks being spilled. The pool was closed for a month this summer and there was no work being done to it. Tenants are extremely loud, I understand they are students trying to party but you have neighbors and need to respect it. Smh. Overpriced for what you're getting... The only plus side to this place is the wraparound view I have overlooking the city. read more

I have never thought about writing a negative review in my life, but this apartment is extremely appalling that made me want to let everyone know. I have been here for a year now. Heard about W6 because some friends used to live here. Despite their terrible comments on the management, I still thought about giving it a shot. But, I ABSOLUTELY REGRET making this decision. Tower two has more than 30 stories with three elevators; however, for 99% of the time, only two elevator works. 50% of the time, only ONE elevator works! It has been at least 5 days now with only one elevator working. If you need the elevator, you have to wait for at least 10minutes! For some reason, there hasn't been hot water for a few days. Apparently some other units are experiencing no cold water, so I literally have no idea what is going on! You can report a million times about different issues to the office and they'd say they will fix it, BUT they never or for the most, things get fixed after a week. The walls between apartments are extremely thin (not much better from the ordinary dorm rooms). I can ALWAYS hear my neighbor's music! And being the unfortunate one, he plays music whenever he's at home. So, I pretty much know his schedule back to back now after a year of living here... If you are a dedicated full-time student, couples, or families that want somewhere peaceful to live in, THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR YOU! Very lastly as a side note, If you are a PARTY ANIMAL, CIGARETTE OR WEED SMOKER, this is a place for you! Management team doesn't care about this place being a low-class apartment at all. It's pretty ironic because the apartment itself looks amazing and the rent is very expensive (which is suppose to mean that the quality of living should be great); however, the management and living lifestyle is terrible! I would recommend to anyone considering moving into West 6th to making a serious reconsideration of that decision. While I did live there for a little over two years, the living conditions deteriorated to the point that I was forced to move. I had some major plumbing problems that management was unable to resolve. I had water backing into the kitchen sink along with a strong odor of sewer gases. The master bathroom had some major plumbing problems with the venting system that caused some loud noises to emanate from the drains when using the bath tub or shower. There was an occasional odor of sewer gas in the bathroom that was not normal. Management failed to repair the condition, so I used the Arizona Landlord Tenant Act to terminate the lease early. In my opinion, the plumbing problems could have lead to some serious safety and health concerns in the apartment. I had to threaten court action to get my security deposit back, and even then it took well over the 14 business days required by the law to return that security deposit. The elevators in Tower 2 continue to be a problem. I would estimate that better than 50% of the time, one or two elevators are non-functional. If you like waiting for elevators during busy times, then you would be at home in Tower 2. I find it hard to believe that management cannot keep the elevators functional. The parking garage and driver conduct in the garage are a continuing problem. I'm surprised management does not address that issue. It is a matter of time before there will be serious injuries to pedestrians walking to and from their autos in the garage. The noisy exhaust systems on many of the cars in that garage are a real nuisance. While the location of West 6th may look inviting, be careful. Twice a year, Tempe conducts their Festival of the Arts, and streets all around West 6th are closed to regular traffic. Getting into and out of the parking garage requires driving through the Chase parking facility and fighting that traffic that comes with the festival. It can take up to 30 minutes to get into or out of the parking garage thanks to the traffic and having to drive through the Chase parking structure. I would expect noise based on the location of the apartments, but the noise in that location does get verve racking at times. The Tempe Fire Department rolls their trucks and ambulances all hours of the day and night. Hearing the fire truck air horns at 3:00 AM is not my idea of ideal living. The trains that move right next to the apartment buildings day and night are noisy. Finally, being along the approach and departure path to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport definitely adds more noise, especially during the maximum departure and arrival times. If the weather is nice and you want the doors to the patios open to enjoy that nice weather, you cannot hear yourself think inside you apartment thanks to the jet traffic. Considering all of that, the prices one has to pay for renting at West 6th is way over priced. The amenities mentioned on their web site are not worth the extra cost when one considers all the other problems associated with West 6th. read more

Living here sucks. It's so incredibly loud every single night from parties and from noise from the street. Pictures literally fall off of my walls because people's music is so loud with the bass turned all the way up. In the mornings usually every other day the garbage truck wakes me up at 7:30 and sounds like a building is collapsing it's so loud. Most of the time I end up driving 40 minutes to my moms house to sleep because it's too loud here. So not worth the high rent. Wouldn't even be worth it if rent was cheap. read more

If you're looking for unparalleled living keep looking. This place advertises itself as high rise luxury living and charges accordingly, but it could not be farther from the truth. These sins would be forgivable if this were a low-to-mid priced apartment. The buildings sat vacant for a number of years without being properly serviced. Because of that, there are numerous problems with it. Just to name a few: 1. The elevators break constantly, and when they work they make awful sounds. 2. Tower 1 flooded, and forced residents in the building to evacuate for over a week. 3. Tower 1 was without a fire alarm for over a year. This was only discovered because of the above flood. 4. West 6th was forced to shut off power to all of Tower 1 for over 18 hours. They did not make any offers to compensate residents for food spoilage or displacement, nor did they find alternative accommodations, i.e. hotels, for residents. 5. The management is incompetent at best. When it's time to sign your lease every single employee tells you something different. They are rude, unhelpful, and will make up answers to your questions. Unless you can get something signed in writing (and maybe not even then) you can consider anything they say to have no merit. 6. West 6th has a number of absurd rules for an apartment complex that charges over $1,000 per person per month. You are not allowed more than 1 guest at the pool. You are not allowed more than 5 guests in your room (although they have since raised it to 10). They threaten arbitrary fines constantly. In sum: do not live here. It's a shame, because there is so much potential for this place, but, in the end, it falls well short. read more

My roommate and I were having trouble with our sink/garbage disposal. Alvin from maintenance came in and vacuumed it out, cleaned everything, and drained the whole sink within 20 mins. Everything is working great now, and his service was fast & excellent. read more

If you are planning to move to this community please don't,, horrible stuff, horrible response to emergency, water leaks, A/C problems, no smoking, I would consider the landlord as a dog hater from all these restrictions they have on their leases, they have the right to do whatever they want to you and you don't have any rights at all, they just will threat you all the time that you will be evicted if you do anything. What! They got a nice 7th floor? They don't! Computers, wifi, printer are down all the time, water leaks on the game room area, A/C is not working all the time at the gym. The last thing is that it is so f****** expensive for no reason! I pay almost $1800 monthly for 1 bedroom, also once you signed that lease you stuck forever, there is no way to break up the lease. Expensive, bad service, noisy, and it's a low quality building. It has the most expensive rent in tempe, and you don't get what you paid for. I lived there for two years and everything going from bad to worse. Sorry guys but this the truth. A lot of parties and a lot of police actions happened when I was there. read more
