Second time this place closed before 1pm on Saturdays. It's quite irritating packing up all the propane tanks in your car and it rolling all around and then you get there and the gate is closed an hour before the listed closing time. I don't have time to drop by your business hours on weekdays. I guess it's better to call ahead on Saturdays since they close early. read more

Back into BBQ season, after trying to improve my cooking skills in fried seafoods and trying to make the perfect tamales, I came to Wessel Propane to get the tank filled, in preparation to continue perfecting my BBQ skills. Service is unbeatable and the prices are comparable to other propane refill services. Lot looks straight out of the GTA video game, lol, which gives it character. It's located very close to the original In-N-Out and its current headquarters. Nona, one of the owners, remembered me from last visit and she yapped, mostly about politics, and her frustration with "government," which I 100% relate to. The young lady, I think her name was Nona or something like that, was very friendly and informative. Due to the pandemic we have been BBQing more often and needed our propane tanks filled, which is way cheaper than swapping out or buying new tanks. We were fortunate to find this family-owned business which is right off the I-10, directly in front of the off ramp. Propane gas refills were $3.05 per gallon (Aug 2020), which is the cheapest I could find. It also doesn't take long to fill. Bring cash. Nona, the owner, was so awesome and fun to talk to. She is super kind and good-hearted. We just had to bring our tanks over and she took care of the rest. Location is large, so you don't have to worry about parking. You can park or drive right in front of her stand. We are going to continue to come here now. Saved alot of money and Nona is great. read more

I had bought a new 5lb baby tank on Amazon went to closest U-Haul try to fill it up and the propane guy could not get it to take in. I was about to return the tank but had to give it another try so I came to wessel propane and the owner filled it up with no issue and was cheaper than U-Haul. This review is for Nona, the business owner only. She told me she can't fill horizontal tanks (the 20 lbs type used for RV) but a gentleman (maybe her brother) filled it for me in January 2020 right after I purchased the tank. When I mentioned this, she thought I was lying. It's OK to not know everything but it's not OK to insult your costumer when you are too lazy and dumb to learn how to do your job. I went there again this week in the hope the same gentleman would be there but unfortunately no. Nona said '"he is dead!" If I am her family/business partner I would probably have died early too, you can tell from her crazy eyes. She might seem nice when everything goes well for her but definitely not the case when things don't go her way. Just be prepared. read more

This place is awesome. I was filled up and on my way in less than 10 min. The nice lady that filled up my tank wore gloves and had a mask on. she kept her distance and provided great customer service. I spent less than 30 bucks to fill up two complete empty tanks. I passed up about 20 other fill up and exchange places on my way but I knew supporting a small family owned business was my best bet. it paid off two and was way cheaper. the other places wanted 23 each to exchange and the tanks the exchanged them with are never filled all the way. this is the place to go. This is a great place to refill your propane tanks! The service is fast. They double check your tanks and give you safety tips also. We filled four tanks on the weekend and it probably took less then five minutes with the gentlemen helping us. We've been here a number of times and are always happy with the service. The parking lot is dirt and gravel and the office is in a trailer but the business is legit. You will not find a better propane place! read more
