A fantastic company to do bussiness with. I had a driveway that was repaired but weak and Wes Green Has a new smaller dump truck that only hauls 3 cubic yards of material. Wow they were so professional. They carefully came up the driveway and dumped the rock professionally. I give the company a 5 star rating because they care that the customer is number one. Good Prices Great quality of work and most of all Fantastic products Chuck read more

Wes Green has a great selection of rock, bark, and soil, but I never can seem to understand what to do when arriving. There are many signs at the entrance making it confusing. I dont want to block the entrance driveway but thats what you have to do before entering.. I guess. The nice part is the office has small containers with samples if you dont know what size stone or gravel you want. Also the employees on the yard are very helpful when they are not busy. read more

We have been going here for many many years. Wes is one of the hardest working men I have ever met and always has a smile on his face and an enthusiastic hello. We have gone to Wes Green to drop off green waste and to purchase rock, bark and compost over the years. High quality products, reasonable prices and overall I just love supporting family owned businesses. read more

Business is in new ownership. For years I paid $11/yd. December 27, 2022, price was raised to $15/yd. Today they charged by the pound and it was $61.10! Back to the burn pile. At least when the wind is favorable I can smoke the heck out of them... read more

I'm a happy customer. Just had 11 1/2 cu.yds. of 'Wes's Best' garden mix delivered. Since the earth where I live is crap and full of gophers/moles I was forced to build a huge raised bed with wire screen bottom. Hated to have to buy dirt but no way around it. Called 5 places. Wes Green was the only one that has any soil in their mix. The rest of the places sell very expensive mixes (no dirt) that I assume are mainly for pot growers. I wanted soil The mix I purchased is 1/2 screened topsoil, 1/4 organic compost and 1/4 organic cow manure. It is very important to me to be organic. Granted they don't claim to have organic topsoil but sometimes one just takes what one can get. It looks good and, more importantly, it smells terrific. As of this date it was $47 yd. with $55 delivery fee. Their driver was tremendously helpful in doing his best to dump as much as possible directly into the bed. The women in the office are very polite and good at their job. The only negative is the cost. Everything in the world costs more than I think it should but at least this is a quality product. This year I will have the most expensive veggies in the state but each successive year the bed will more than pay for itself. They sell many other products and services. Ordered 3 yards of gravel, which was delivered exactly on time the next day. Everyone there is pleasant and helpful.

We started having problems with our septic system backing up. I called Wes Green and he came out and looked at it and I explained that money was tight. He gave me instructions on what I could do to in order to narrow down what the problem was and possibly fix it myself. I spent the weekend digging out the junction box and it turned out a previous owner ran water and electrical right through both leach lines. Once I had diagnosed the problem to be in the leach lines themselves, Wes and crew came out the next morning and had the whole thing fixed in less than 2 hours. read more

Total rip off. Under new ownership and taking adavatage of people to make up for losses. $417 delivery fee from Arcata to redcrest for 22 yards of fill dirt. They said over the phone it was only $180 delivery. The new owner got to the property and saw it was a grow and pencilled in a additional $237. So a grand total of $1317 for 22 yards of fill dirt. We got potting soil cheaper than that. read more

My rental in Freshwater had a septic system that had failed. The County wants a Wisconsin mound installed and since this was a major undertaking I didn't know where to go. Thanks to a wonderful real estate agent she put me in contact with Wes Green. Wes got all the permits for me, trenched the 180' channels for the culvert pipe for the system, dug the 750 gallon chamber, installed the 3/4 horse power pump and all the other items to run the system and to county specs. He finished by creating a 20' x 100' Wisconsin at grade mound. Needless to say, it was a huge job and Wes and his company performed like a champ. He has even come out and at no cost. added more top soil as the soil is like clay out there and is still settling in. I am very, very happy with the job Wes did and as a landlady that just needed to satisfy the County with a permitted, proper system, Wes was excellent. Thank you, thank you. Carol read more
