the menu of a fast food restaurant

I went to this Wendy's location around 11:20pm and online it says they close at 12am EVERYDAY! I notice there is at least three cars in the parking lot so I assumed they were open like they claim to be online. No one answered the drive thru so I went to the window. TASHA? Screamed through the window "we're closed" with this nasty look on her face. I said "it says you're closed at midnight" she screams again "we're closeddddd" and ran off in the back. I stayed at the window because I will not be spoken to like that. She came back and opened the window and said " i said we're closed" and slammed the window. I told her "i don't know why you're yelling at me like this and being so rude! online it says you're open till midnight. " I asked her what her name was and she screamed "byeeeee." I don't know why their website says they're open till midnight but their horrible employee Tasha? Was so anxious to get out of work and be so unbelievably rude to a costumer. I can't believe she even has a job there. She has no people skills and should NEVER work with costumers. I really hope this Wendy's owner sees this review and handles this situation. And if it is the case that they do in-fact close earlier than midnight, no customer should ever be spoken to like that. Point blank. I love Wendy's and now i never want to go back.

Nonla Burger - Crispy Chicken Sando meal ($14)

Originating in Kalamazoo, Nonla Burger's Bridge Street location in GR is super popular. Their…read morespecialties are crispy chicken sandwiches, burgers, and fries. The menu is concise and they do these classics well. They also have a daily milkshake and weekly food features. I still need to visit for their Sunday brunch! I've now been to the GR location many times and really appreciate how dialed in they've gotten over the years. You can order at the counter to go or get table service. The space is large and bright and good for groups. On my most recent visit, I was trying to decide between a burger and a chicken sandwich, and realized I'd never had the BBQ chicken club, which is listed as a grilled chicken breast with BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, tomato, lettuce, and mayo. Our server told me that people like it if they are looking for something without fried chicken... but I really wanted fried chicken. So I asked if I could do that with fried chicken instead and she said absolutely! Their menu is super customizable, which is great to know. Our food came out quickly and I was impressed with the presentation of the sandwich. I like that they wrap it in paper which makes it easier to eat. It was a little messy towards the end with the BBQ sauce and mayo, but it was delicious and totally worth it. The veggies were fresh, the chicken was juicy, and the bacon was crispy... I'm thinking this might be my new go-to! Their burgers and other chicken sandwiches are also delicious. They have a full bar and fun cocktails, and happy hour Tuesday-Friday! Parking in the area is always a bit of a challenge, especially with continued construction nearby, but there are metered spots and some paid lots within walking distance.

My friends and I grabbed a booth and so adored the cool wallpaper and decor. I ended up ordering the Brussel sprouts to share and the fried chicken sando. The brussel sprouts were sooooooo yummy! Savory and sweet and finger-licking good. I could've licked the plate, seriously! The sandwich was really tasty too and the perfect size at a great price. All of my friends were pleased with their meals too and we had good service. I hear that they have a really tasty brunch so I'll be sure to come check that out soon!

We arrived right at 5 pm on a Friday and the place was almost full already! We were surprised but happy for them, and glad to get a nice cozy two-top in a back corner. We were greeted by our awesome server and ordered some food -- two different mortadella sandwiches and an order of fried pickles to start. Neither of us ordered drinks, but I saw some fun-looking cocktails coming over to nearby tables. The fried pickles came out first and they were perfection. I don't usually get this appetizer because I don't like fried pickle spears, but these were thin chips. The ratio of the fried pickle chip vs. spear is way better. And these came with the best runny ranch. It was a huge portion to split between the two of us, so we had lots left over. Our sandwiches came out shortly after and looked amazing. They were super stacked with tons of meat! I really liked the addition of the grainy mustard which helped cut through the fattiness of the meat. My friend liked hers - it had pistachio butter and ricotta (similar to a delicious sandwich I ate at a wine bar in Detroit). Portions are large and it's a cozy, neighborhood spot. They have rotating food features and are always helping out their community with free meals and other philanthropic ventures. Check them out!

We were seated quickly, the interior was nicely decorated with Mardi Gras beads. It took a while for our server to come to greet us and eventually bring our drinks. I enjoyed the variety of drink offerings! I was torn between a few items and asked the servers recommendation. I ended up choosing a Korean chicken bowl. The flavors were okay but for almost $20 felt a bit lackluster. Our friends told us the burgers are a must try so maybe in the future that would be what I try instead. Our server seldom came to our table, we had to flag her down to order more drinks and even then she forgot and we had to remind her we placed another drink order. The restaurant was not very busy and we could see her chatting with a table that seemed like employees or family members of employees as people were coming in and out of the kitchen to sit at the table. We had a table of four (two couples) and the server would not split our bill which was fine but a bit inconveniencing. I appreciate local, family owned businesses but felt that our experience was a bit off on this night. I love the mission of Two Guys and their community engagement so I will likely try them again, it could've just been a rough night.

At first I was hesitant because of the price, and it being biscuits, but they made me eat those words and more. It was like a large biscuit muffin top with jalapeño, cheese and honey glaze (I think) and it came with a white cheddar cheese sauce to dip it in that was outrageously delicious. For a guy who hates cheddar biscuits, I've got to say I'm blown away. My wife ordered the steak with fingerling potatoes and carrots. It was on the pricier side, but yet again well worth it. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the veggies were pretty good too. They had live music playing as well tonight. It was a jazzy kind of vibe and it didn't over power anyone talking or anything. The guy had some serious skill too. To top it off, we had some pretty killer service from everyone there. From the hostess taking our names, random servers walking around, and our fantastic server (I forget her name but she was blonde and worked upstairs and had a a really great attitude. The expo or food runner dropping our food off anticipated us possibly needing an extra plate and brought one without asking which was super awesome and ended up coming in handy ( I knew my wife wouldn't finish that steak alone) and she brought it without asking and was ready with a smile to get more. I used to be a GM (I hate when people use this saying but...) truly I know how hard it is to find good workers and the folks running it here seem to have it down. I come from a place where you have to drive 100 mi or more for average service. So seeing exceptional service is really almost too good to be true. I'd definitely stop in for a bite. It's worth every penny. We'll be back for dessert, they have seasonal crème brûlées!

A lady walked out raving about the pistachio soda, so we tried it. SKIP. The blueberry lemon was better, but still not something I'd order again. King is cash, but they do take card. There are a few tables inside, but once it gets busy, it feels a bit cramped and awkward.
