The Wendy's just recently opened up in Waxhaw and I was excited at first because of all the fast food burger, Wendy's is one of my favorites. However, my excitement was quickly diminished as I sat in the drive thru for about 20 minutes. I do understand that there are bound to be some hiccups but the drive thru workers were rude and short tempered. Once I finally did get my order, I noticed it was wrong, didn't get my fries and the Baconator was warm. I was going to go back inside to speak to management but I was already tired and decided that I would rather waste $8 then deal with a new staff and new management. Hopefully they'll get all the kinks worked out and I'll notice that the reviews are getting better. read more

This wendy's is brilliant. tonight i ordered a biggie bag and an extra 6 piece nugget from a mobile order. i drive to the drive thru- pick up (as stated on app) and they say "gotchu, pull around and we'll get the order to you". awesome. i pull around and wait 10ish mins when a worker comes to my car. "did you have the mobile order?" she asked. "yes" i replied. she says "okay next time pull up in the drive thru, we thought you just left and wasted our time". i told her that i was told to pull around and she said "well obviously that's not what he meant to say". i'll never understand how a group of 7 workers makes running a wendy's look like building a time travel machine but it continues to blow my mind every time! props to all of them for working so hard to continue to mess up every order that comes out. because when i got home i was rewarded with no 6 piece nugget and 0 fries. thanks guys! not like i just paid $10 for 4 nuggets and a mini burger or anything. love yall fr keep it up read more

I went to the drive through to order a Double Stack Biggie Bag and was asked sauce and drink. After i said the drink, I said for the burger I want it plain. Then the lady said next time you have to tell me that first because they already start making it. So is this really the way now that we have to go by the restaurant's rule in making an order!?!? I mean I asked for the burger to be plain right after I said the drink but her tone made it seem like its my fault and my mistake. So for those of you that go next time make sure you tell them how you want your burger or sandwich done first or else they will give you a hard time about it. read more

This location is terrible. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful. But after approximately 5 visits, there has been a problem with my order every time. Tonight I was in and they rang me up for 4 free frostys. I had four of the free coupons. They only took one off the receipt. And then after other issues with my order (we ordered other burgers, fries, chicken, etc) we ended up not even receiving the frostys. So I paid for three and received none. The girls helping me told me they couldn't refund the frostys because both new managers in the building weren't able to refund. They literally didn't know how. I ended up leaving with mostly the right food, less the four frostys, and an iced tea that is undrinkable because it tastes moldy. The girls working were very nice and I feel for them not having management that can fix a problem. I do not want to go to this location again. Wendy's food is not good enough to have a problem every time we go. read more

THIS WENDY's is HORRIBLE!!! The staff is nice and friendly but as far as the food I would have to give it a ZERO!!! I literally was there today my entire order was cold, it's so frustrating that you pay your money only for it to be cold and not fresh!!! I understand local business having staffing issues. I understand I have to wait... however when you wait for over 30 minutes and you need 2 minutes to ensure the burger that you requested multiple times is plain because your autistic child will only eat a plain burger and the management pushes you along.. only to find out they screwed up the order when u leave..... is completely frustrating.. My kids shouldn't be eating fast food to begin with.. tonight thank you Wendy's in reminding me to never again go the easy route and pick up fast food.. Ordered on the mobile app at 8:20PM. App says the drive thru closes at 9PM. Arrived at the drive thru at 8:45 and all exterior lights were off and the people inside wouldn't come to the window. They made hand jesters that they are closed and waved me off to leave. I'm a fan of Wendy's but not the way this one is being operated. With this kind of horrific customer service and disregard for hours and customer orders, this place won't be successful. They can count on one less customer. read more

Just once I'd like to go to Wendy's and have my order be right. I can tolerate the rudness but not my order being wrong. Asked for a single cheese burger with no tomato or lettuce got a double WITH lettuce and tomato. Asked for a baked potato with sour cream and butter only got the potato. We were given our drinks and asked for a straw was told rudely to would be in the bag. Guess what.....yup you guessed it no straws in the bag. I have now been to your Waxhaw, NC location 3x and had a bad experience every time! Today on top of the app setting my pickup order for the next day the manager of the location got an attitude with me when I just asked him to make the order and charge my account. As I can now see...I'm not the only one who drives in at 8:30 and finds a closed business. Your sign says you close 9:00pm. There was no notice or anything. All I saw was a dark building and some people congregating in the dark lot. Disappointing. read more

The parking lot lights were out one night during business hours. I told the worker in concern and she said oh no we don't turn them on so people think we closed. It was so dark in the parking lot leaving I could barely see a lady walk across the parking lot to her car. It's very unsafe to have the lights off at night. read more

I would give you a negative star if I could!!!!! This Wendy's is the worst Wendy's I have ever been too. Customer service is trash, need new employees, everytime I go there there is a problem with either my food or something not working. I have been there the last 2 nights and couldn't even place an order because they claim there was a problem with being able to take your order. Now I have come again and it's now something different! I would not recommend this location to anyone!!!!! Its a fairly new location with a sanitation score of 92.5..... HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE! Again you need new employees that are actually hospitable and nice and feel like they care about their customers because we are what keeps them paid! I ordered the honey butter biscuit meal. Biscuit was very hard, and inedible. Honey butter was non-existent. Chicken was good and tasted very oily, it looked like it was reused form a previous day. Would not recommend for breakfast. No photo, sorry. I was so disappointed that I just threw the whole meal away. No receipt was provided, and tried to call several times to no avail. Arrived at 9:15 PM on 9/21/2023 parked and went inside to "dine in". Employee was near the front register loading condiment containers, approx. six or more employees working inside restaurant. Waited several minutes and then was told that it would be faster to go out and go through the drive through lane. If they do not want dine in customers, perhaps they should not have dine in capabilities. This was an employee who made no apologies about staffing but just said the drive through would be faster. Will not go back to this location again. Suggest they perform some customer service training and/or change employees!!! read more

When ever we try to call to see if you can dine in they never answer the phone. Would love to try their breakfast but can't dine in , and don't want to eat in the car or bring it home and eat it cold. Tried to go for breakfast and they told us dine in wasn't open. Worst experience I've ever had trying to get food. Line was wrapped around the store but we decided to wait it out and paid for and placed an online order. After about 40 minutes we finally made it to the window and the manager on duty rudely stated that they only had an online order for someone else and that mine had not shown up, I showed the lady the mobile receipt with the correct address and the lady began becoming confrontational and raising her voice stating that she could not assist me and that I need to go back to the back of the line and wait 30 more minutes to get my food. This whole time I was very polite, unconfrontational and simply trying to figure out a solution to either get my food or my money so I kindly asked if there was a way for me to get a refund and she again yelled that she could not do anything.
