Walked in and the dining area was very clean! They also had a Kiosk to order which is great if your in a hurry and want to avoid the line. Dropping to 3-stars (but really, somewhere between 2 and 3). This has to be one of the most inconsistent fast food places anywhere, but specifically on the corner of the 395 and Palmdale. Sometimes, I get a fresh burger... hot, juicy, melty cheese. Sometimes, I get cold meat, cold cheese, and overall just sad looking. The other problem is that there is always a funk smell... like eating inside of a bathroom. Its pretty unpleasant. But it's THE BACONATOR, so it's gotta be LOADED with, well, bacon. Right? Um, no. Remember those "where's the beef" commercials, in which a little old lady visited hamburger joints and kept asking for help finding the meat on burger? THAT'S how much bacon was there. (Ironically, the "Where's The Beef" ads were from Wendy's.) The burger arrived in a bundle about the size of a dinner roll, sad, flat, lacking pickles, onions, or other such substances that would have provided bulk, improved the appearance, and lessened the sting of the burger's high cost compared to what I received. (Let's back up to the good again: The burger patty itself was adequately sized and flavorful. Wendy's uses fresh-never-frozen beef and that does make a good patty. Back to the less good now.) The bacon amounted to a strip and a half of typical slices, on a burger the size of a dinner roll. There were nine bites of average size, at $0.60 per bite. I always order them once I pick up my order, there has NEVER been a problem. She tells me I have to order them with my order. I asked her to show me how to do it. The place is always clean and the people are always professional. At the Wendy's on La Paz they make you feel uncomfortable about using coupons and make faces. Not here. Stopped through the drive through earlier half way through an hour's drive home and ordered a Southwest Avocado salad, one of the few things I can eat at Wendy's due to having Celiac disease. Very disappointed to get home 30 mins later, starving, to find it had breaded chicken all over it instead of grilled, meaning I can't eat it due to my allergies. So frustrating. Train your people to alert customers if a substitution in ingredients is made. I realize cross-contamination is possible, and it's up to me to decide if it's worth the risk, but I shouldn't have to worry about a complete substitution without being told. It is a typical Wendy's establishment, located on I-395. The meals are quite delicious, just as with any Wendy's establishment. The place is quite clean. Wait time for the meals is not that long, and definitely, I would recommend to stop by this joint, if you are in High Desert. The working staff is friendly and polite too. Well - I realize that a lot of people seem to like this place but I can only base my opinion on my experience there - and it sucked bilgewater! Horrible!! So we had been driving through the desert for two hours and Mrs. G wanted to eat something to keep us going. She goes in while I check the fluids in the car and wait, and wait, and wait. After 15 minutes of standing in line (about 1.30pm on Good Friday afternoon) she is still 2 people from the front and the people "served" and still standing around waiting for food. USELESS. They really seemed to be focusing on the drive through (we needed the restroom too so had to go in). The one woman serving the indoor customers had a headset and kept talking to drive through folks and getting their food. So after almost 20 minutes we just walked out with nothing. Best Wendy's ever. Upon entry, you immediately see the lounge area with a small faux fireplace. Before you place your order, you can view the menu on two large rectangle digital screens. This was a nice touch because I hate standing in line without an idea of what I'll be ordering. After you place your order and get your cups, you quickly learn that they have a touch screen soda fountain with endless options! The best part was the food. I ordered a home-style chicken sandwich that belonged on the big screen. The sandwich was delicious!! I can't wait to go back there again. Came to this Wendy's during my lunch break, first thing I noticed when I walked in was the cleanliness of the restaurant, great job. Then I got in line to order and my order was taken by Brisa whom was very polite and professional. When I received my food which was quicker than I expected, it was fresh and amazing and exactly what I ordered. While I was eating I noticed Brisa did a great job of managing the register and cleaning the dining area when guests would leave. Overall all awesome job by Brisa and this whole location. read more
