Food was good. The standard that I've come to expect from Wendy's. I got a spicy ceasar salad. Can't mess that up, really. The service tho, good grief. The whole time I was at the window trying to pay and then waiting for my food, the girl just talked and laughed with another employee. It was kind of annoying. Either way, it was decent for a fast food experience, I suppose. At the end of the day, I got my meal, it was correct and it was quick. read more

Purchased a charity booklet of free junior frosty's from this location only to find out that they do not accept the coupons that they sell. It's a junior frosty, probably cost a few cents, good customer service would have honored the coupon. Worst part is that the manager ended up saying that they have not sold or accepted these coupons in two years, not true. Wish I could give this location zero stars! read more

Wendy's - Fast Food Near Me - Seaside, California

Wendy's is a microcosm of what the fast-food industry has become, more specifically on the Monterey Peninsula. You place an order and its almost as if the person you're talking to is having a mild aneurysm. The people behind the counter are devoid of any ability to simply listen. Here's my typical experience at Wendy's: Counter Person: Can I help you? Me: I'll have a Grilled Chicken Sandwich combo with a Caesar Side Salad instead of fries with a bottled water to drink. Counter Person: What size fries do you want? Me: I didn't ask for fries, I want a side salad. Counter Person: Oh okay. Do you want Crispy Chicken or Grilled? Me: (Gritting my teeth) I asked for GRILLED CHICKEN! Counter Person: Okay. That's (insert random total here). Is it just me or did some people miss the basic fundamentals of listening to someone speak? It's not all that serious, it's just more irritating than anything when you have the world's least productive people all in one establishment. It's like they're programmed like robots to arbitrarily ask you questions regardless of what you've said to them. As a parent, these experiences have further fortified my belief that an education can do wonders for a child. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. read more

After a late lunch in the Bay Area, I was starving by the time my friend and I got back on the Monterey Peninsula. Not really feeling like picking up a full meal, we stopped by Wendy's for a quick bite--yes, I'll come clean, Wendy's spicy chicken nuggets and chocolate frosty are a guilty pleasure of mine. Rather than going inside, we opted for the drive-thru. The food was great, just as I'd remembered it, but I can't say I was such a fan of the service at the drive-thru. The cashier was rather abrupt with us when we were trying to sort out how much cash to give her. Sure, I bet she's had to deal with lots of rude customers wanting food to grab and go, but that's no reason to harp on us as we hand over too much cash. I mean come on, my math skills aren't so hot late at night, cut me a little bit of slack. Will the rude service keep me from going back? Not really, especially since this is now the only Wendy's on the Monterey Peninsula. I guess the terse service is to be expected at fast food drive-thrus. And it's a small price to pay for those spicy chicken nuggets. read more

Slow drive thru, cold food, poor customer service and credit card machine is consistently down.

The worst most expensive Wendy's ever. Super slow. No customer service skills what so ever. Stay away.

I have had better Wendy's restaurant experiences. I ordered my burger with no cheese and "awesome sauce" and I was given a "burger" with CHEESE and NO AWESOME DIPPING SUACE. Do better Wendy's. Nothing else was particularly flawed in my experiences today. read more

My review seems to be missing, its obvious this location has unfair employment, been Coming over 3 years , never have i seen a wendy struggle so much with basics like how to work a debit card reader.... Working drive tru, however it looks like management continues to higher older Mexican/hispanic ladies. Broken english, this the only restaurant i see inside that dont have student employes or even a race other than Mexican/hispanic. Im mexican american i dont mind but when your making service suffer and good restaurant chain look bad something has to be done. read more

According to website this locations is supposed to open at 9:30am but when I went threw the drive threw at 9:50am I sat there until 9:55am exactly with no help so I drove to front and called the store and they said they open at 10:00am. Update your website and next time someone is just sitting waiting in the drive threw maybe just jump on the microphone and let them know your not open. It's now 10:01 and still not open. They are nice.. however, I had a berry+pear tea drink, it was amazing, until it was finished and I could see body parts of some sort of winged bug/bugs in my cup and stuck to my straw.. only God knows how many I drank.. I won't be back. read more

Went to Wendy's drive through for dinner. First complaint is that the order kiosk was sitting directly in front of the menu. So, # 1 we didn't have the chance to look at it before putting in our order. And #2 we couldn't even see it. My husband had to stretch his head and upper body to even see it. The guy who was taking orders was difficult to understand. When we told him that we needed a few more minutes he put someone else on the mic, then came back on when we were ready I ordered the Daves single, as it's been awhile since I've tasted their food. It was ok. Nothing special. My husband ordered the Baconator. Was unlike what the photo showed. There was very little bacon, he could hardly even taste it. They need to be more honest about the photos they show on their menus. The fries were soggy and limp. Didn't taste very good. I had just three of them out of the box. Finally, the frosties have changed from something you needed to eat with a spoon to something you drink with a straw. Disappointingly, it is no longer ice cream. read more

One of the worst drive through I've been to. It took 15 minutes to just get an order on the drive through. It probably would have been longer hadn't the people infront of my car given up and drove off. Least service-friendly worker on the drive through, not a word other than "$9.59". No "thank you" no nothing. She handed me the paper bag of food and immediately closed the drive through window. I had to wait for her to open it up 45 seconds later and remind her that she forgot the sauce for my nuggets and rolled her eyes like I was inconveniencing her. I wish I could give them 0 stars. Don't like your job? Then quit, I'm sure there are more people that are willing and able to do a better job. I don't recommend going to this Wendy's. Go to the next town over our better yet, the Jack in the Box across the street. read more

went there on. 8/17. some white guy was ranting in line inside the store. ranting about. how they fuckd up his whole drive thru order and i orderd large chilli beans. med coke ....she was gave me my order and was skimpy. ..she gave me 2 crackers. ...i sat ate and in need of more i got up asked for more she gave me 2 more one was crushed it was crumbs. i gave it back and in stern voice said i need more like 5 understand. that place seems to have no logic or basic skills read more

I stopped here with the kiddos on the way home from the coast. Service was fast and friendly, food was like every other Wendy's. It's an old building but is well maintained and clean. Even the bathrooms were sparkling, which is a rarity for Wendy's. I was glad we chose this for our dinner stop. read more

I ordered a "Chili Cheese Baked Potato", when I got home it turned out to have no Chili, but rather Bacon. I do NOT like bacon on a potato ! And it was so SCALDING hot, it would have burned my mouth if I had tried it right away. The burger, however, was very good, so they still get three stars. read more

This Wendy's is exactly what you would expect it to be. Never been inside, but i get the drive thru when getting home late from work occasionally. The only downside are the homeless people that hang out at the 7-11 across the street. They've spooked me a couple times now when I'm ordering and ask for a dollar to spare. I really wish someone would do something about them. Overall, I love the spicy chicken sandwich and it has never let me down. read more

I totally understand why their average reviews are only 2.5 stars overall. We spend most of the year in the area, but haven't returned since our last visit in late December, 2016. We had purchased a Frosty keychain that allows you to receive a free small Frosty with your purchase and even though the chain sells the 2017 keychain beginning in late 2016, every Wendy's we have ever visited will also begin to honor them in late 2016. To our amazement, this store wasn't willing to honor the keychain a few days prior to the new year. LOL! I'm glad they saved a few cents and behaved like a Scrooge and the exact opposite of standard procedure with the chain in general. I'm glad to take my business to other Wendy's locations and never return. Hope management discovers that they loose more business than they earn at this location! read more

If you don't feel like cooking and want fast food Wendy's is one of the fast food places in seaside to go to. There service is good inside and the food is fast food so you get what you pay for. There pretty fast in the drive through never had to wait to long. I usually always get a spicy chicken sandwich when I come here. They also have a good strawberry lemonade here. There frostys are good if your in the mood for one or some ice cream. The dining area is very clean and not to loud. They have plenty of seating also. They have big windows to see the street outside so it's kind of nice. They also have plenty of parking. I don't really care for the burgers much but it's fast food so I can't complain they are there when I need food or when I'm super hungry. read more

Fast food is fast food. The burgers pretty much taste the same, no matter where I get them. They're usually salty, the meat is paper thin and I have to remember to ask for less mayo and no pickles or cheese. Heart attack on a plate. These were no exception. But the fries... (my downfall)... "natural" fries with the skin on and sea salt. Stellar! Service was fine, no complaints. We had a window view of the traffic driving by. I told my husband he's just so off-the-hook romantic to take me here for Date Night. He owes me one... read more

This is the worst Wendy's ever!! I was on my lunch break on 6/5/19 around 10:40am ordered chili cheese bake potato and a medium lemonade. I go to that Wendy's maybe twice a week. I pay for my food and ask Esther (manager) for a pack of croutons she tells me I'll give it to this time but you didn't order nothing like a salad for croutons!! If she would've said we charge for croutons no problem I would've paid for it but don't tell me how to eat my food!! I was calling to complain to speak to manager ummm she was the manager so I told her when your customer order fries and want ranch dressing do you tell them they didn't order a salad for ranch dressing. So I called customer care told them what happened the lady pass the info to district level Rose from the district off called me back she left voicemail I called her back same day left voicemail and she still haven't returned my all two weeks later!! read more

I wish I could give zero stars. We ordered a Spicy Chicken Wrap, Jr. Cheeseburger, and medium fries. We asked that they add onions to both the wrap and the burger. When we got our order each had a pathetic sliver on an onion...probably one tiny ring cut in half and placed on each. Anyhow, that was easily corrected by asking for more onions on the side. I take a bite of my wrap and realized that they gave me regular chicken instead of spicy. I had my boyfriend take a bite and he confirmed it. When I went to get my order corrected the gentleman behind the counter thumbed through my wrap with his bare hands, suggests to me that it IS in fact the spicy chicken, and pushes it back toward me. On what planet is that acceptable customer service? Was I supposed to eat that after he had his bare fingers rummaging all through it? I told him that regardless I would need a new wrap because of what he did and he said that I'd eaten most of it and basically insinuated that I was just trying to get free food. When he finally gave in and agreed to give me a new one he violently threw the other one in the trash, stormed off into the kitchen, and began cursing me in Spanish. Between him and the other employees I was cursed in both English and Spanish to the effect of: puta, pendeja, bitch, cunt, etc. when I was clearly within earshot. I got my corrected order and informed them that I was going to write one hell of a review about this place and their crappy service. The funny thing is that a few of the other customers were agreeing with me. I've been here before and basically get the same rude, incompetent service everytime. Their service is just consistently terrible, but we put up with it because it's the only Wendy's in the area. However, being cursed at, ridiculed, and disrespected like that is the last straw for me. Anyhow, the point is don't eat here or if you do prepare to be highly disappointed and irate by the time you leave. There's a Habit Burger just up the street in addition to many other fast food options. I'd reccomend trying literally any other place than this Wendy's. I'll be contacting corporate after this. Eat here at your own risk. read more

I noticed the drive thru was busy but I was pleased that it moved along nicely. When I placed the order for a double cheeses and fries I decided to get the combo. I asked if I could substitute the drink with a frosty. The employee asked if I wanted a small, medium or large. If properly trained he should of just asked if it would be a large. I had a hard time understanding him because the speaker or microphone wasn't operating properly. When I arrived at the window the employee was very friendly. I was surprised when I asked him after I handed a $20 bill if I could add two cents. Most often that really screws up cashiers that are young. He said yes and promptly gave me back the correct change. I wasn't sure if he had calculate the change or if he just hadn't enter the amount to tender. Fries were nicely salted. The burger was good but had cooled quite a bit on the drive home. Of course the fries were finished along the way. read more

My kids were super excited about the toys in the case, so I was a bit bummed when told it was an old display. Esther took the time to open it up and give us what the kids wanted rather than making them settle for what was available now. This is not a review of the food, but any service that gives extra attention to my kids is top-notch in my book! read more

I ate at other Wendy's locations before, this one stood out because of the smaller portion sizes and the extra charges. I had to pay for the tiny container of BBQ sauce despite the fact that I ordered food for almost $20. The fries container was only half full and the chicken on my chicken sandwich was smaller than the bun. I can not recommend this Wendy's location to anyone. read more

fountain drink tasted moldy. Clean your machine. Burger was OK though.

Generally, I like Wendy's. My wife loves their potatoes and usually they have relatively good, cheap food; but this place service is kind of bad. My son wanted an iced tea for his drink in the kid's meal. Despite what their website says, they will not give iced tea for the kid's meal because it apparently costs more than other drinks. I believe this is the only fast food place in the area where they charge extra for iced tea. After paying the extra 2 dollars for iced tea, I got home and what do you know, there is no iced tea. Also, no straws or napkins. They are not very friendly at the window. I now pass on this place, even when my wife craves their baked potato. With my experience there, they would probably "forget"to put it in the bag. read more

Every time I go to Monterey I stop here on the way home. Good food, love the salads, and the service.

They are super nice and I have seen the cashier bring the food to the table for elderly customers. Like any other fast food restaurant they make mistakes. When you tell them about the mistake they are nice and correct the order and that won't keep me from going back because the food is great. Love love the salads and pulled pork is very yummy! read more

I ordered two #1s. Neither burger had tomatoes, I only got 1 straw for the two drinks, they didn't ask about ketchup and when I was in the parking lot a man leaned into the car, obviously high or something, and asked for three dollars for a burger. Not an enjoyable experience. read more
