When I walked into this Five Guys location, I was greeted warmly with "Hello, welcome to Five…read moreGuys," which was a great start. My order was taken quickly, and the food was prepared fast and tasted fresh. Most of the staff I encountered were pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, I did have a negative experience with one employee that really stood out. While I was waiting and leaning on a table, a staff member came around spraying and wiping tables nearby. Instead of waiting until I had moved or politely asking me to step aside so he could clean, he started spraying and wiping the very table I was leaning on--without saying "excuse me," "sir, could you move," or offering any kind of courtesy. As a customer, that came across as rude and unprofessional. Simple communication and respect go a long way, and in this case, there was none. Even after I moved and looked at him, he didn't acknowledge me or offer any apology. It left me feeling as though the action was dismissive, if not deliberately disrespectful. To be clear, the rest of the team did a good job and the food itself was up to Five Guys standards. But this one interaction left a negative impression on my visit. I hope management will address this so that all customers are treated with the same level of courtesy and respect that's expected in customer service.

I've been to the Saint Albans Sonic 3 times in the last 5 years…read more Five years ago, I arrived at the drive through at 9:45 PM and got no welcome or any sign of life. Tooted the horn and was greeted with: "Yeah! What do you want?" I'd like to order, I replied. "We're closed" What time did you close? "Ten o-clock." It's a quarter till ten, right now. "OK. What do want?' He didn't try to hide his frustration. I told him not to bother and it was 2 years or more until my next encounter. Long story short, this time, (daytime) a smart-ass girl/woman obviously had something more important to do other than take food orders from pesky customers. I got to the pick-up window and asked to speak with the manager. She/he didn't have time, or so I was told. The third and last visit ended with a request for a refund when the woman at the window shoved the bag of food at me with an abundance of attitude. Outrageous prices, crappy food and even crappier service, I honestly don't understand how they stay open at this Sonic. They are a disgrace to their company's name -- and anyone that has worked there knows that my commentary comes with absolutely no exaggeration.
