In the recent times of backlash at fast food eateries for insane and ridic pricing, the eateries have responded with $5 or $6 combos and new found value. Not Wendy's. $8 for a kid-sized burg and tiny fries with 4 nugs and a tiny drink. Our state paving this $20 hour minimum is the root cause of this. Passed to us as the mega corps will protect every penny of capatilistic profit possible We the consumer will always lose unless we vote with our wallets. As an example Sbucks and McD's stocks hammered in the recent quarter as consumers voted with their wallets, even on politics. The staff here are not overly friendly. It is in the deep hood so you have many people off the street wander in. Nothing good to say on this location nor Wendy's true lack of grasp of the current state of the economy in the United States. Now I know burgers typically don't match the picture on the menu, but the burger is received was just sad. I entered and ordered my food and the staff immediately locked the dining room door after I entered. I inquired about the dining hours and was told they don't know. Unfortunately, this location fails to adequately stock the proper food items when they are pushing specials. For example, the Wendy's pretzel bacon Nader. No pretzel buns at 10:30pm. I was the first in line almost 5 minutes. When I choose Wendy's, it's my first choice. However, if they don't have what I desire, I drive less than 2 minutes to McDonalds. This has happened to me at least three times in 2023. I want Wendy's to be a place I can depend on for a quick meal. but again this location doesn't do well with popular items. Although McDonalds wasn't my first choice, I can almost guarantee the meal I ordered is hot, fresh and available. The manager/owner should consider that people have options. Honestly, I don't know why I keep doing this to myself. I just need to stop going to this Wendy's. First, the prices are ridiculous but that's everywhere... that being said I expect a little more respect and better treatment from the workers if I'm going to be paying up the butt for shit food. They took the soda back (with an attitude), poured another, and with even more attitude handed it back to me and said "There, I made you another". They then slam the window shut. I sit there until someone else comes to the window and acknowledges me. I let them know what's happening and they seriously just stare at me like I'm crazy and a bother. So I repeat myself... they then reply with "Well, I don't know what you want me to do about it... there's nothing we can do" - with more dang attitude. I would be lying if I said I didn't lose my cool to that response, which I was trying so hard not to do while I kept being treated like shit. With that being said: TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES!!! I always enjoy eating at Wendy's whenever the opportunity arises, so when Joe K and I had some shopping to do at the nearby Home Depot located in the same lot, I was so hungry, that I couldn't wait to settle inside and have a nice meal. I was looking forward to having a fish sandwich, but apparently, they only offer the Premium North Pacific Cod one month a year and was no longer available. My second favorite choice is the taco salad. But for a few years, Wendy's discontinued their taco salads. I was sad when that happened and didn't go to Wendy's much after that. My only other option was the spicy chicken sandwich which was very tasty and at least a good alternative. But since they brought the taco salad back, I have been loyally ordering said salad with hopes it won't get dropped again. But even though it is back on the menu, it's just not the same as I remember! I can't put a finger on it, but the flavor doesn't seem the same. There is the usual bed of lettuce & shredded cheese, the separate container of their famous chili in which you pour on the salad, a bag of taco chips, sour cream, and taco sauce for adding as you like. While the taco salad is OK, it's not outstandingly crave-able! I'm suspecting the sauce is different than before. I think they used to give a chipotle style sauce in the past, now it is more of a tomato paste consistency. Joe ordered a Double Dave's burger with fries and had no complaints. I also love their strawberry lemonades! This Wendy's is OK as far as friendly service and interior cleanliness. It's conveniently located right across the street from where I work too!
