UGH! I forgot why I haven't been here in over a year and made the grave mistake of coming because Burger King was backed up. Instant regret. We just returned from a road trip to SoCal...we stopped at different McDonald's a few times on this trip--no issues. So I forgot how terrible a McDonald's can be. This place is a still a ZERO star establishment. I went here to get my kids a plain cheeseburger and fries. I opted for a happy meal and was pleasantly surprised to find that it comes with two small kid size fries in lieu of apple slices!--perfect for littles. I picked up my order no problem but when I pulled over to give my kids their food the meal was completely wrong---I opened it to find nuggets, one fry, and apple slices. So now I had to park and get both my young kids out of their car seats to go inside when I did the drive through in the first place for a reason. I then wait patiently until someone asks me what I needed. I told them I got the wrong happy meal and needed another fry and a plain cheeseburger. She asks for my receipt and I hand it to her. One of my kids ran off and I go to get her. In that time I saw her throw a burger in our happy meal, close it up, and say "there you go. Sorry about that" and walked away. I immediately open it because I can already tell that she didn't review the receipt and sure enough she didn't give us our second fry. I was noticeably annoyed at how careless she was. Not only was it written down on the receipt but I told her what I needed out loud. I'm not trying to hang around and this whole ordeal for a happy meal was so unnecessary. A different person came up to me and asked what was missing and I told her and she got it for me. I checked the cheeseburger to make sure it was in fact plain. Luckily it was but the whole ordeal lasted much longer than it needed to. The receipt was clear as day. My advice--staff should read them and make the orders correctly. There is really no excuse for this level of unprofessionalism. This is the basics of the food industry. I always have had a terrible experience at this location in particular. Maybe better training is needed. I honestly don't know what can be done about it but I won't be returning. I didn't catch anyones name. The lady who thoughtlessly and carelessly didn't listen to me or review my receipt was wearing all black and had dark hair that was pulled back. She wasn't dressed like the others, which makes me wonder if she's some sort of manager. The young girl who actually helped me was pleasant and was quick to jump in after, so I did appreciate her efforts. But the damage was already done. read more

It is 2/1/26 at 4:15 pm. A chunk of my rewards was about to expire so I came here and had a very negative experience. I ordered from curbside for a Kids Meal having trouble selecting options for it. I went inside and ordered but there is poor reception for phone to use reward. Went outside and was able to pull it up, but per the cashier the code was invalid. I decided to just pay for meal but wanted to earn points for the meal, cashier got agitated and said it is the same code for both and it does not work. I wanted to earns points for my purchase. I felt using rewards and earning rewards were two different functions and cashier who I learned was the manager began to argue this point and kept talking over me in front of customers. This went on for a minute or two. I ordered cheeseburgers with this order and wanted to remove them from order so I can order from curbside to get 500 points which I did after this interaction. When I picked up Happy Meal from counter I asked manager for her name, she walked aggressively towards me and stated 'Monica, don't return to to this location in the future' in a loud voice in front of customers and her staff. Her parting shot is what motivated me to write this review. I have interacted with Monica about 3 months before and it was not positive experience. Monica not only lacks customer service skills but is just plain rude. A good manager would have handled it better and be more empathetic to customer as the app or wi fi not functioning well. I go to this McDonald's usually once a week for a few years. I have my favorites (don't we all). I've rarely had something missing from my order. Sometimes the curbside delivery has hit a glitch so I would advise if you are in a rush go to pick up in the drive thru if you are using the app. I also encourage you to sit or order inside once in a while and see how much every team member is doing. It's nonstop go...very busy McDonald's off the I-5 freeway. I have definitely had weird things happen, like a poached egg on a biscuit (it's supposed to be fluffy folded scrambled egg) but never a hamburger with a bite taken out (Norman, OK 1990) nor a cheeseburger with no meat (Elk Grove, CA 2025). And you know, I have eaten it all, except the hamburger that was pre-bitten. I am so happy to have food that someone else made for me and that is consistently good and generally what I expect, at a good price point. Sentimental note: this was the McDonald's my Dad would take me for breakfast after my mom had passed away and I was barely functioning. Somehow I could figure out the app and liked ordering ahead. We had lots of breakfasts and fish sandwiches during that year when I truly didn't care about cooking or eating- so thank you, Pocket McDonald's. Something has changed because the Big Mac hasn't tasted the same in years. My go to McDonalds and each time I'm craving a Big Mac and pick one up it hasn't been the same. It'll be close to good but it has always been off. The sauce has been more mayo than anything and the meat Pattie has gotten smaller and smaller and this is just my personal observation on the Bjg Mac. Decided to order some McDonalds for a late night snack for my friends and upon opening my order there was a small cockroach inside of the chicken nuggets we ordered. Absolutely disgusting! I've been coming to this McDonalds for the past few years and have never experienced something this bad. When we called to complain about the situation the woman who I believe was the manager working that evening offered no help and didn't seem surprised at all. About half the time I go through the drive-thru at the Pocket Road McDonald's, I'm told to park and wait--for a burger. You'd think a hamburger place would have burger patties ready to go, especially during peak hours. It defeats the entire purpose of mobile ordering and the drive-thru. Today, things were so backed up there weren't even any parking spots left--just a line of cars idling, waiting for food that should've been ready in minutes. Let me start by saying, this review isn't so much about McDonald's, but the shamrock shake itself. As far as the McDonald's itself, the one on meadowview is pretty good. I don't think I've ever had problems with the service or the food. I haven't had a shamrock shake in quite a few years. They are not as good as I remember. I was very disappointed. It doesn't taste like the shake I grew up drinking. The shake had barely any flavoring. As you can see the green isn't even mixed all the way through. I think this is how macdonalds serves it now. Visit this location because we was heading back hime from that direction. The reviews here are very low but, the kids were hungry for Mc D's. Each of us ordered our own meals because everyone is paying separately and because it is a big order we thought it would be much easier for the staff. Our kids order the quarter pounder. We ordered big macs and our daughter wanted the nuggets. We did curbside pick up. Our food came out very quickly and the food is made fresh and piping hot. The young man came in two trips. One order for hubs and one for our son. Mines came last with the nuggets. Staff is super friendly and very good customer service! We are all very happy with the service and with our food! Thank you! If you order a small you're likely to get happy meal serving, if you order a medium you're likely to get a schmedium and it you order a large, you might just get a medium. They also just installed parking spots for the drive thru mistakes parking area to wait for their order. If they find your order is taking longer, they don't want to run up their timer so they move you there!!! What is the point of timing how long the orders are taking if you move the longer orders to these spots. Sounds like you guys are cheating this system.
