My son got the $7 biggie bag which includes a bacon double stack burger. My burger came without mustard & barely any pickles or onions. My son's burger was missing the bacon. Both of our fries were barely lukewarm. They did make it right by making us fresh burgers. They were out of napkins which is awkward. The employees were pleasant & apologetic. Traveling through the area we stopped here for lunch. It was busy but it moved along. We probably waited 10 min or so for salads. I had the Southwest avocado salad. The Plus: salad greens were fresh, the chicken was juicy and delicious, it had the right amount of guacamole. Overall a good salad. The minus: When the salads came they were on their sides in the bag. (A new way to mix up the salads?) It's supposed to come with bacon, mine had 1 piece - maybe 1/2 inch wide by 1 inch long. The unknown: we got 3 bags of Parmesan crisps. That probably is something made for the Cesar salads. read more

I have always liked Wendy's. Usually, I order from the East Main location in Richmond, but since I had a nearby appointment, I chose to go to the Chester Blvd location. I had a good meal. I had a Pretzel Bacon Double Pub Burger, Medium French Fries, and a Medium Coke Zero. I ordered this at the east side location, but they were out of the pretzel bun, so they gave it to me on a regular bun, and they gave me a single, not double. It is better with the pretzel bun. It is delicious, but it is messy. It is something I would order again, but as a treat. It is one of those limited time only items, so it is not something I would order on a regular basis. Be prepared to actually run a restaurant. Yesterday I stopped by after a long trip on the road to go have a nice Wendy's chocolate frosty with my dinner. Well, no chocolate frosty's available, nor ketchup or napkins. The sweet girl handed me ball of towels (like the towels you get in the restroom). Years ago, I visited Wendy's because of their value menu. I'd get 3 items and have lunch for about $3.00. They weren't really great but they weren't worse than Taco Bell. Today, they offer those same items for a lot more money and they've adjust portions and ingredients. This evening, the Caesar Side Salad had tomatoes (really?) but no bacon. However, they ran out of salads and made this one fresh for me. In any case, the junior bacon cheeseburger was consistently Wendy's. i.e., it has very little taste (and it was just above warm, almost like Jack in the Box), so it doesn't interfere with the salad's taste. I remember when the chain was young, we'd hoped that freshly-made burgers would taste like a backyard cookout, but they did not and we felt a bit betrayed and went back to McDonald's or Burger King or even Burger Chef. These days, Wendy's is there and if there was nothing else, I'd eat there more often, I'm sure. At least the staff was friendly and quick. Seeing the manager run around the store putting together a salad was satisfying. I don't believe I've ever seen a manager move so quickly. read more

I just got out of 10 days in the hospital and my wife surprised me with lunch. The surprise was how we got ripped of and lied to for just $18. Two specialty salads that didn't have the ingredient we paid for, Parmesan chicken which had four tiny chips of chicken and a bag of Caesar dressing that tasted like sink water. Apple pecan chicken salad which had no pecans and four very small chips of apple. Came with two large frosties but no spoons or straws. Dave Thomas would have fired everyone on the spot. We are in our late seventies living of Social Security and $18 for lunch was a rare treat. If they can't pay higher wages and can only hire whatever drags in the door, then close until you can! Tonight I drove 20 minutes to Wendy's for a small order. After being handed my bag of food, I asked if everything was in the bag. The worker said yes, and closed the window before I could thank her. Another 20 minute drive home, and half of my order is missing. I drove another 20 minutes back, and asked for my missing order. Another worker comes to the window, hands me my bag, and immediately shuts the window. No apology, not even any eye contact. Another 20 minute ride home, and I reach in the bag to find 20+ chicken nuggets thrown in the bottom of the bag, with no container. I called the manager, and expressed my frustration. The manager responded, "What do you expect, they're 15 years old and in training." Extremely unprofessional and rude. I understand it's "fast food", but slow down a bit and have a bit of professional courtesy. I don't know who does the hiring there, but I would be looking for a new manager. I was offered a coupon.
