Wendy's isn't at the top of my list of favourite fast food joints, but it's not at the bottom, either. I will often go there for the salads. Wendy's was the first fast-food place I ever saw offering salads, and now they're the last, because McDonald's and Burger King have stopped offering salads, and I'm not sure that A&W ever did.
This location is apparently brand new, and, in line with Wendy's current style in architecture, it's targeted more at selling through the drive through window, although it does at least still have a dining room, although much smaller than the older Wendy's designs. And even though it probably wasn't actually made out of shipping containers, it seems like it's about the right dimensions for that.
It also has one of those self-serve drink machines where you can choose a pop, and then choose extras to mix into it. The upside for the customer is a lot more choice in drinks. The downside for the staff is probably having to wrestle a lot more syrup canisters. read more
