The service was quick, the only concern was that the second we paid for our food it was delivered to us. It is fast food but it made me feel that it was just sitting on a warming tray for hours. Lots of people in there which is a good sign and it is newly renovated. It is a lot better than before (new management). read more

RUN! As soon as we went in the door the floors were so slippery we almost fell multiple times. Bathrooms were dirty. Ordered food (a single combo no modifications and a chicken sandwich combo pickles only) to eat there and it took over 15 minutes to finally get our food. The burger was good, fries were okay, soda machine was FILTHY with syrup sprayed all over. Someone came in after us for a soda and when she went to the machine, her flavor was out (and the place was empty of people). Two guys were doing the cooking and there were two women there who just disappeared. When we finally got our food, one of the guys apologized. The worst part....was the chicken was RAW in the center and we just threw it away. Unacceptable. Also, the restaurant has half drank cups on a table that the one woman came over to drink from and then refilled it, got on her cell phone, and was making comments loudly or in her headphones about someone being rude. The best thing that could happen is the health department to shit this horrible place down IMO. We really should have walked out and just went somewhere else. Hoping we don't get sick. I'm thinking the owners obviously don't care after reading all the other reviews. This place really just needs to be closed. read more

Hands down the worst Wendy's I've ever been in!! Stood there for 11 minutes and no one came to the counter to take my order! There was plenty of help just standing around. Finally walked out and will NEVER go back!! Stay away far far away!! Didn't get any food and the place was filthy! read more

So we went to pontiac wendys it was clean enough. BUT when we went up to order the energy drink they said "sorry have to have a 16 year old with you" ok thats fine exept one of us were 17 almost 18. When we explained that to her she said no your not. Whatever thats fine so I got a normal soda then we got in our car with our food when looking inside the bag 1 of the burgers were gone. If you want food in pontiac illinois just go to burger king. Complete different story now. We ordered off doordash 2 medium frys 2 burgers and 2 drinks. Easy right? obviously not we got our food and opened the bag our frys WERE HALF EMPTY. and if your thinking it was the doordasher your wrong the bag was fully sealed. And holy crap our burgers were stale. Dont come to pontiac wendys unless you want shity sevice read more

Ate inside and ordered on kiosk. Service was a little slow but reasonable. Food was good. Had a baked potato with chili and cheese plus a Girls Scout Thin Mint Frosty. Hubby had a cheeseburger and fry's which were also good. This was on a Monday and think they were short staffed. read more

It was horrible I got the app just to write this review to help anyone reading the tables were dirty bathrooms were gross multiple flys not only that but the food was still cold we asked to make the whole meal again because it felt like it just came out the freezer and the worker gave an attitude would not recommend definitely never going to Wendy's again read more

If I could leave a negative I would 35 minutes in drive thru and still had to go inside . Was not busy 4 pp working and it takes 35 minutes for cold fries and 3 sandwichs read more

I should have read the reviews! Stopped for some lunch and after 10 minutes of waiting at the drive through speaker they finally asked for my order and before I could even say a # 1 combo they said wait a minute and then nothing for a while and I just drove off. One car waiting just past the drive through window for food and an employee standing at the window. No idea why they weren't taking orders but I have to go. Terrible customer service read more

I wish I would've read all these reviews before pulling in there after filling up our gas at Wally's. Horrible horrible horrible. There was one persons in the drive thru before us- It took 5 minutes for him to place his order. Then we pulled up and had to wait another 5 minutes before the person took our order. Then had to wait 20 minutes for our food. The food was subpar. Staff was... I don't know... half asleep..? (This was around 1pm). read more

Terrible service. Had to wait 10 minutes just to order staff we were standing around talking to each other.

The staff is ignorant and you will wait at least a half hour for your food and then when you do get it, it isn't what you ordered to begin with read more

took forever for the food. the burgers were cold and ordered jr beacon cheese and received a reg cheeseburger also was supposed to be a deluxe burger and didn't have any let or tomato on it. no napkins anywhere to be found. made a second order for a frosty and that took over 20 minutes to receive. also wasn't busy 740pm had six people working I seen and seemed like they could only make one order at a time. read more

I was really hoping that things would have improved since the last unfortunate visit... welp, I was wrong. The drinks were gross and again they put an obscene amount of mayo. Literally wiping it off with two napkins ( disgusting ). Then the fries were clearly old and sad. Why even continue to be open if you're unable to hire competent staff and train them accordingly?!?!? Serious question.... do you even care about quality control??Then the biggest issue Is they don't even have a listed phone number to call them to try and remedy the situation. So here we are... leaving this review they might see. read more

Went here on a long drive from Texas. Most Wendy's we go to are dirty and old. Food is subpar. This one was a surprise. Greeted by a sweet manager and a real practical joker. Pleasant staff. Food was hot and delicious. Fries were crispy and salted perfectly. Dining room was a bit generic but clean and tables weren't beat up and old. All in all a good find! read more

Was hungry and stopping in for my Wendys fix. I had the double and fries. Which was excellent and what I needed! read more

This place is nasty, dirty, and the employees are rude. The food is always old and cold. DO NOT go here. You will get sick.

Just got off work after a long day, just trying to get an fast easy meal. Well let me tell you. If I saw the reviews before hand I'd never bothered with Pontiac IL Wendy's. From Wendy's to my house is like a 5 min drive. And my sandwiches were so cold. Like ice cold to the touch. The backdoor was open and it seemed like it was a bunch of highschoolers smoking weed. And it's just a playground for them. the light in the sign is broke..probably can't fix it cause you can't keep customers. read more

Used to work for Wendy's many many many years ago and is disappointed in the quality and the service at the one in Pontiac. It closed and then reopened with new owners I'm assuming and every time I order something on DoorDash they messed something up. Is they forgot to add the cheese the chili or there's no butter and sour cream for the baked potato, get your act together Wendy's read more

Went through drive thru, ordered 2 doubles plain with cheese. Only took 60 seconds to make my order. When I opened the foil wrap, the doubles were cold, hard, dry and BURNT. Dave Thomas would be rolling over in his grave with such a terrible product. Why don't you make them fresh anymore instead of keeping pre-made burgers in a heating bin? It's not like the store was packed. I was the only one in drive thru, and NO ONE inside. Shame on you Wendy's. You should be able to do better. read more

NO masks worn by staff. I dropped in for a pit stop November 3rd 2020 and none of the people behind the counter had a mask on. The woman taking my order had her mask under her chin. Another "Best Of" review! Deerfield Wendy's is the best. The best at breaks. I am an idiot. I felt like a Breakfast Baconator. They look so good. Unfortunately I have only one option to get one in Pontiac. Deerfield! I arrived at the drive-thru at 7:07 am. Smoke Break time! Two cars in the parking lot. One customer car and at least three employees that share one car apparently. Two employees were in a car smoking and as I drove away from the voiceless menu and one crouching outside the back door doing the same. If you taste marlboro light on your breakfast biscuit, I can tell you why. This place is nothing short of a shame. They have been for a while now. When you see stuff like this it really gives you confidence that your food will be top quality. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe they run a car detailing business when business is slow. If they do, I suggest another business. TNT Auto. Just ask for Big Sexy. He can take care of your detail needs way better. Big Sexy doesn't make burgers on the side. Let me promote BK on this Wendy's page. Let me promote McD on this Wendy's page. Subway, T-Bell, Baby Bulls, Endingers. Pontiac Kitchen, Thorntons, Casey's, and Madison Street all serve breakfast. This Wendy's promotes the competition so check out all those better options. Today, Wendy's sent me to The Pontiac Kitchen. Way better food and just a fast. Better service and parking lot though. Cheaper too. There is another difference... these businesses sometimes take pride in their work. These businesses sometimes care about a job well done. These businesses sometimes care just a little about the people that they hire to represent them. Deerfield Wendy's couldn't care less and haven't for years. Give them credit for the joke they are. Give them credit for the lack of giving a sh**! They are the best at it. Smoke 'em if you got 'em! 7:00 am sharp! read more

One star for the salad, otherwise yea, no. The bathrooms are crusty and the place just needs a face lift.

Went through the drive through, ordered spicy nuggets, small frosty and fries. Food was quick, and the nuggets were hot and fresh out of the fryer. They gave and charged for a large frosty instead of small, and the spicy nuggets weren't that spicy, but otherwise great experience. read more

Didn't have vanilla frosty. Because of the release of strawberry frosty. Very upset never coming back

I absolutely love Wendy's. However, upon a trip home from Chicago I stopped here for lunch. I ordered what I normally get (#1) and got served a patty that looked like it was over a day old. Seriously dried out. Looked dark. Cheese was nearly melted into the bun. I was so hungry but no way would eat this (unfortunately tried a bite, but just as quickly had to spit it out). My wife's burger looked just about as badly. By the time we had gotten to eating we were already 15 miles down the interstate. I have worked fast food in the past, and this food should not have been served...even an hour ago. I'm guessing they have warmers with timers and obviously this one had went over many times. Management should have been aware of these burgers being well past their times. I'd highly suggest nobody support this branch. Very dissatisfied here. read more

This is probably one of the worst Wendy's we have been to. We ordered and the guy seemed confused. We ordered and had to wait about 10 minutes ore more for a to go order. Th restaurant, years ago had experienced major storm damage years ago, but it does not look like they put any money back into the interior. The carpet was gross and dirty. The chair backs had been stained with where it looked like years of people putting their hands on the chairs. There was food everywhere on the floor. The Coke machine is cool, but it looked like it had not been wiped down in a long time. When we did get our food, the food and especially the fries were pretty cold. As long as we waited, our food should have been hot. They basically need to take down this restaurant and start over. There also was nothing on the walls and not any 'atmosphere' at all. Go somewhere else. read more

We stopped here on the way home to grab lunch. Went through the drive-through. Very friendly service. Unfortunately this was the worst food that we have ever had from a Wendy's. They told us before we had ordered that they were out of ice but they could still give us sodas. That should have been our red flag. We bought ice from the gas station next door to pour our sodas in. The warm sodas however were also completely flat. The fries were burnt but cold and tasted like they were from the day before. The burgers matched the fries. Not even warm. Complete disappointment. We choked it down because we were hungry and already on the road. Stay tuned for part two if we get sick from this experience. Hopefully not. read more

Hungry during our road trip back home we stopped in for a quick bite. so strange to be at a Wendy's in these parts - it's so desolate. Staff was really friendly. At one point we were the only customers in there, together with a giant inflatable chicken. Good thing is that everything was prepared fresh - so we had some nice hot french fries to warm us up (it was chilly outside that day). Still....looking out and seeing no people, no real traffic...was a little creepy to us City folk. But the food was good, and that's what counts. read more

We had been on the road for a while when we pulled into the Pontiac Wendy's. (We've seen a lot of fast food restaurants and never reviewed one before) It's an older one, but kept very clean. The worst experience ever. We waited close to 30 minutes for a kids cheeseburger, chicken nuggets and 3 chicken sandwiches. The one employee was just leaning on the counter- it appeared he was going on break as he was just eating fries at the register area. They dropped the chicken sandwich on the floor and forgot one of the kids meals. As we pulled away, realized they gave us 2 wrong orders and the food was not that hot. None of the employees were in uniform- just wore baggy sweatshirts. The level of unprofessionalism is ridiculous and they lack a serious sense of urgency.
