Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a review. This is a play by play experience, like none else that you've yet to experience. I shall call it "Wendy's: The Fiasco" It began as many I'm sure have experienced. A long road trip, a great need for sustenance, and a call from nature, which I had put on hold for the last 3 hours. We enter the building, with somewhat low expectations, as we had read the reviews of the restaurant before we purchased food. We ignored these warnings, which we will call the first of many mistakes. It seemed fine, the restaurant. There was a family inside, already eating, and the customer service seemed ready to attend us. We approach the counter, orders ready, and stomachs empty. If I had to describe the employee in one sentence, it would be "A blunt and dismissive fellow, hopefully in an attempt to maximize efficiency." The conversation went as follows: Me: "I'd like a Dave's Double please" Blunty, the employee: "No onions." Me: "What?" Blunty: "We don't have onions." Me: "Okay, um I saw a sign outside for a DC kids meal?" Blunty: "You want a kids meal?" Me: "The DC kids meal." Blunty: "We've never sold those." Me: "There's a sign outside for it." Blunty: "I don't know what you're talking about" Me: "Okay well just the Dave's doubles then" Should we talk about the food? Let's talk about the food. In all honesty, the burgers were, albeit a little strange in sauce proportions, it was fine. The fries however, resembled something like those chewy dog treats, not fries. I can say on the bright side however, my jawline has seen significant improvement after that meal. But the drinks. Oh, the drinks. Have you ever smelled turpentine? Or perhaps lighter fluid? Carbonate it, and BAM, a Wendy's root beer. For our own entertainment, we tasted every drink they had to offer. It was stunning, to say the least. Never before have I gotten a seizure from overly sour minute maid limeade, and whoever thought the "Xtra Sour Powerade" was a good idea should probably see a therapist. Or a health inspector. Either works. It was awful. Needless to say, after trying almost 20 different drinks, a bathroom was in great demand. The facilities, unfortunately, were vile. Urine on the seat, trash piling in the corners, and I still don't what was on the faucet. Honey? Syrup? Sap? It was translucent. It was sticky. It was brown. I believe my hands were dirtier after washing, not before. All in all though, it was a funny experience, with surprises all over the place, and laughs everywhere. However, I can still taste the Powerade. And my jaw is sore. So at the end of the day, 1/5 stars, will not go again and I suggest you don't give it a try. read more

Avoid this location at all costs. The management has not trained their employees correctly if at all. Food order is generally not correctly filled and what you do get will be old and cold. Dry bread/buns, dry old meat, and fries that hardly fill the small carton and most are old. Need a frosty? Maybe worth it, but they will even mess up your soda order so good luck if you decide to visit. read more

Stopped here for lunch today. WOW! Lady working at the front counter was very unprofessional and let all the customers in the establishment know several times how flustered and stressed she was. After waiting 45 minutes and not getting my meal I went up to inquire where my order had gone. The employees had no idea. It must have disappeared of the board. So they then made my order. Told me they were upgrading stuff because of the wait. Nothing was upgraded. In fact there were still items missing. Wasn't worth dealing trying to fix it at that point as dealing with the front counter person was really not worth it. She was very rude and constantly snapping at customers because she was overwhelmed. I really like Wendy's but this will not be the one I return to anytime soon. Didn't even have chili. Stopped here for lunch on a road trip. Indoor dining is closed so went to the drive up. Short wait, they took my order promptly (Southwest avocado salad). The folks taking my order and at the drive up window were prompt and very polite. My salad was delivered without delay. This salad is consistently good at most Wendy's and this location was great. Ate my lunch in the parking lot and departed a happy customer. Not easy to deliver decent service in thee pandemic days, but this place did just fine. read more

My work van cannot fit in a drive-through, so I went inside to order. Two of the exterior doors to the dining area were locked. When I ordered, I received my receipt and number. Shortly after that they were turning people away saying they had a large drive-through order, and it would be quite a wait. I was not informed of this before making my order. I waited approximately 20 minutes before receiving my food. When I got my food, they had forgotten the frosty. Then when I went out to my vehicle, the drive-through line had me completely blocked it because of their delay. The manager kept stating to everyone how short staff they are in can't keep up. I'm not exaggerating or being unkind, just honest. I've visited this Wendy's several times over the last 6 years and I don't know why I always come to this Wendy's because they have been the slowest worst quality Wendy's I've ever been to. I love Wendy's and it's the closest one to our home, but this Wendy's always has issues. I don't know if management or ownership but it's always understaffed and theyre consistently out of things. Food is often cooked incorrectly and they forget to tell you if they're out of ingredients before they charge you so you tend to find out when you receive your food. read more

This location has been known for mismanagement for years. My friend told me there were new owners after the remodel, so she talked me into trying it again. I was horrified to see some dude named Erik was doing the till and also handling drink cups. He put two fingers into my cup. I had another server remake the drink. As Im waitng, Erik pulls more cups for the people behind me and his hand were all over the drinking rims. Another customer requested a lid and his prints were all over the underside of that lid. I told the server making my drink, "You need to train that guy. He shouldnt be doing that." He answer was "Yeah they crack down on that once in awhile." I will be calling the Health Dept. What the hell is Wendy's problem? The past multiple times I'm talking several times. I have give them many chances to provide service. Absolutely. Every time I have gone there. They have either been out of the food or had a mechanical issue or a technical issue, I have pulled up to the speaker to place it order, but put on weight for up to 12 minutes at the speaker only to be told oh we're out of that eye them or we can't provide that item for whatever reason this is recent this has been going on for a very long time. They still were trying to improve, but they have not done so, trying to get add anything from Wendy's you better go there with a low expectations and low confidence that you'll be able to get your order, also, as stated before the way, the malign is very long today I went there to give them a chance again only to pull up to the speaker and have a science even due to technical problems. We have to have you come inside obviously what is has a very, very, very, very poor management skills. I can't believe they're even remaining an open The only reason I gave them two stars is because I do like their chili. It is my fave when you can get it and their chocolate Frosty again when you can get it. read more

We went through the drive through on our road trip. It took 20 min to get to the window. We paid for our food and they closed the window. We sat there for another 20 min. The staff looked at us out the window, but didn't come up to say anything. I honked my horn so we could talk to someone. I asked how much longer it was going to take, and the worker told me they don't know and closed the window back on me. I would have left if I didn't already pay. I then honked again and asked for my money back. They had my food and said nobody dropped the fries and that is why it took so long, and slammed the window. When we got back on the road we realized the burgers were cold, and the fries were soggy and still semi frozen. This was a huge waist of time and money. I do not recommend stopping here. The soda machine at the Wendy's is one of those fancy Coca-Cola freestyle fountains, however, it wasn't so fancy when the only drinks available were diet drinks. Ok, I know it's a chain store and chain food, but hear me out. The customer service was so good at this location. A young lady serving us was helpful when our coupons wouldn't work and very kind to the folks in front of us who had a problem with an earlier order. She even noticed her own mistake (forgetting a frosty), corrected it and kindly apologized. The food was industry standard fast food. Nothing remarkable there. But decent food, very clean little restaurant and bathroom, plus excellent customer service was a win for us. Very happy we stopped at this location. read more
