I am extremely disappointed and concerned with the Wendy's on Main Street in East Orange. My family and I ate here on 12/28, and within hours, my 15-year-old daughter and my husband became violently sick with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and severe stomach pain. My daughter's symptoms were so severe that I had to take her to the emergency room. I attempted to contact corporate by phone to report this serious food safety issue, but after being on hold for over an hour, no one answered. I had to hunt down a corporate email in hopes someone will respond. I have since submitted a detailed complaint via email. This experience was frightening and unacceptable. I hope Wendy's corporate and this location take food safety seriously and ensure that no other family has to go through this. read more

There's a reason this location has two stars :/ Despite (or in spite of) being remodeled with modern furniture and ambiance - looks are definitely deceiving: No wifi (though the outlet in the middle was working) The monitor in the middle of the restaurant was not on (working? who knows). When they take your order, they don't ask your name, they ask your initials (what?). I placed a mobile order for asap. After 10 minutes waiting, they didn't call my name. When I went up to the front, I stood there for another few minutes while ignored by staff. Finally I went up to register (mind you I had to wait behind people that were ordering food), and after waiting then asked for my frosty (yeah, all I ordered was a frosty). Finally, the cashier went around to the back (why wasn't my frosty made up front? Why wasn't it in the cabinet marked mobile orders?) and got my frosty. Too much work and drama...for a frosty. I feel for those ordering real food (or complicated/custom orders). Hence why I (and what appears to be many others) gave a 2 star review. Do better, Wendy's of Orange/East Orange. read more

I haven't been to Wendy's in some time and it's been even longer since I've been to this specific location. It's been updated and remodeled which is good, but a couple things still lacking despite it's fresh coat of paint. Slow service. This isn't really a knock at the staff per se. There were three people ahead of me, two of them were older and thus ordered slower which is ok, I understand. But there was only one register open and the line was growing. This really defeated the term 'fast food' here. Which brings me to the next point, the food was a bit slow too. Again not terribly slow, I get it, it's lunch and the drive thru was packed but I'd think they'd double up staff in preparation. I can't complain a ton though, the young staff you'd expect to see at a fast food chain were friendly and the restaurant was fairly clean as if the tables had a pass by recently, so overall not bad. read more

A pretty standard Wendy's in downtown East Orange. Been renovated since I was last here. I always customize my meals and this one was prepared correctly and neatly, which doesn't always happen! Staff was fine and since I ordered online, I was out fairly quickly. 4 for $4.44 is a decent deal! read more

Went to order a Asiago chicken sandwich. Well let's just say that chicken was still alive. So undercooked it has to be thrown out. The customer service? If i could get no stars i would , i ordered off DoorDash and when i get my order i received half my order. I ran back to the Wendy because it was wrong and the manager didn't honor me with my food. I i was told to complain to DoorDash. This is not the first time my order has been mistaken or missing items. As a former fast food worker, i always honor misssing food or the whole order free of charge. I had to hop in my car, and go back to the restaurant just to get my order, you could at least honor it and give me my food that's missing from the order. Two things: I've not seen before when you put the handicapped parking spots farther from the building than the regular ones (as you enter the lot), and second, when my little one spends time at the counter not looking at the food but swatting at flies, then that's a bad sign. Today I ordered through the drive thru and asked for 2 4pc chicken nugget and a small fries. The young lady only asked me if I wanted any sauce and then asked me to proceed to the window. when I get my bag they only had 1 order of nuggets, and the girl at the window tells me that's what we rang you for; so I said okay ring me up for the 2nd order of nuggets, to which she says you have to go back through the drive thru or come inside. ONE STAR IS TOO MUCH!!! This wendys is trash. Everytime I come here there is an issue. Besides the fact that the line is always poking out of the drive thru, they're so slow with the service. Then when you finally get to the window, they want to rush your order. You have to wait 15 minutes just to deal with disrespect. On top of that, you receive the incorrect food of items missing from the order. Now when it comes to picking up for orders for delivery...I was picking up 3 orders. I was told that I would only be given 2 orders for pickup. What am I supposed to do with the third person's food? I had proof that I was picking up 3 orders. But was only given 2. So am i supposed to show up empty handed? Am i supposed to get back in the line and wait another 15-20 minutes because the wendys staff wants to fulfill orders at sloth pace? This line is way too long to leave and get back in line for the third order. Not to mention the fact that you'll have to deal with the disrespect of the staff twice in a row. For the love of all things proper, please do not go to this wendys unless you are starving and on the verge of being malnourished. The food just don't hit that good that to have to deal with these people. Also, if you do deliveries for doordash, postmates, uber eats, or any food pick up/delivery I would suggest you decline orders from this wendys. The $3 dollars just isn't worth the ghetto. read more

I can't believe I'm writing a review for Wendy's. Hahaha. I used to come here a lot back when I was in high school. Which was 8+ years ago. The place is ok. Sometimes, it's a bit dirty. The Worst Wendys I have been to in my life. My husband & i went to thr deuve thru last night & the person said absoluetly nothing at the intercom. we sat there for about 5 -7 mins. To the point it formed a line. So we drove up. We get to the line the guy is handing us someone else's order. We let him know we didnt order yet , he started smirking and laughing in a very sarcastic way. Told us we have to go back and order. We explained the situation and said he can only take small orders at the window , which was convient for us because i was only ordering a Chicken Sandwhich 4 for $4. He asked me what drink i would like , & i said Lemonade no ICE ! he handed me the car behinds me drink that he originally was going to give me (which had ice) & slammed the window . its no need for me to continue.
