I love Wendy's and normally even if it's cold it tastes decent. I ordered a classic Dave's single and upon the first bite I could taste something wrong with the meat. Starving with nothing else on the way home I continued to give it a shot and finished my burger. You'll see when you pull up, then proceed to drive off. If you don't get stuck by the cement barriers that prevent you from getting out of the line, that is. My son and I stood in line probably 25 minutes without ever being waited on. The employee said his boss had told him he could only take 2 customer orders. One lady from a bus tour was ahead of us and only wanted a salad while two other guys were ahead of her. I finally spoke up and asked to speak to the manager. She finally responded to me and said they could not handle any more orders because they were short handed -- meanwhile two employees standing at the counter -- one taking orders and a lady getting orders for the customers. As we said we were leaving to get back on the road to Atlanta, the lady at the counter said there was a Subway on the other side of the store. This was tonight (Friday) about 7 pm and the dining room was packed and when we left there must have been 7 or 8 customers waiting in line. I shopped at a Wendys in Emerson across from the Love truck stop about 2 hours later. Fair service but half of chicken nugget order was cold and half hot out of the grease. Keeping in mind this is a fast food chain located inside of a gas station truck stop, I'd say this place is decent. They get really busy during lunch and usually seem understaffed, but they've never been rude to me. The food is the same quality a person can expect from any Wendy's. The decor is classic Wendy's, but it's kept clean. Also the wifi is usually broken so don't rely on that. Yep, what else can I say? read more

My review is not on the food at this Wendy's, but simply the lack of service. I never got any food, because they would not wait on me. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I was white! They seem to only wait on other black people or Mexicans, and when it was my turn, they completely ignored me and even left the register when it was my "turn". During the long time I was standing there waiting, I also saw that the employees kept touching customers food with their bare hands (no gloves). Like one female employee who stuck her bare hands in the chicken nuggets to shuffle them around before serving them to a customer. The food I ordered met the level as all other locations but the management was rude when I called to let them know they never gave me back my bank card. The GM has zero concern in her voice and was almost annoyed that I was asking to speak to the manager that was serving the window at the time of my order. It looked like employees were having a shift change and she was dealing with three employees, taking an order, and dealing with me all at the same time. I'm disappointed because that's the location I always stop by on my way from my Atlanta to Columbus trips. I will never be back. Drove up at 1:30 pm and waited 25 minutes in the drive through to get 2 COLD Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers. 25 minutes for cold food in a drive through with concrete barriers that you can not drive over to get out. 25 minutes! No apology, no Thank You for Waiting, nothing. This is not the first time for poor service here, but this will definitely be the last time. This is a NO STAR rating! read more
