I've worked in quick service before, and those last-minute drive-thru guests can really disrupt the closing routine--so I hated being "that guy," but I was absolutely starving. Raising Cane's is one of my favorites back home, and getting it after such a rough travel day felt like a small gift. What made this stop truly stand out, though, was the staff. Even with ten minutes left before closing, they were cheerful, kind, and welcoming. If they were frustrated by my late-night arrival, they never showed it. Instead, I was greeted by a smiling team member who handed me hot, fresh chicken that absolutely hit the spot. Their attitude turned the end of my day around. The gyro itself had great flavor--the ingredients were fresh, the toppings were vibrant, and the seasoning was spot on. Unfortunately, it was lukewarm when it reached the table. The taste was good enough that I kept going, but I couldn't help but think how much better it would have been served hot. A gyro with that much potential deserves to come out at full temperature, and I was disappointed that it didn't quite get there. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The friendliness of the staff and the quality of the ingredients make me believe this was probably an off moment in the kitchen. The checker was super helpful, asking if the request for no bun was allergy or preference, then asked how we would like it, a lettuce wrap or salad. When they called my number, I went to pick up my food and realized that I didn't ask for my fries to have Cajon seasoning on them, I asked if they could help with that, and the guy was overjoyed to help add some spice to our fries.
