THE GOAT, so good we went twice! We came to Manchester for work and was stayed across the street from The Goat. My daughter had told me about this place she said they had karaoke and bands and was an overall fun place. I had hesitated attending during previous visits because of the three star Yelp review grade. I do not think these reviews do The Goat justice. We had burgers, one day beef one day chicken both amazing, delicious margaritas and beer, and amazing tumbleweeds (which are shoe string onion rings). The only thing you shouldn't get is the desert. Cookie was old and we returned it. It's a sort of cookie w ice cream. They didn't have ice cream and cookie was old so skip! However all employees were fantastic and so polite. I can tell there are regulars as I saw same people two days in a row. Many fans they are doing something right at The Goat. read more

I came to Goat on a Tuesday specifically because I saw they were offering a buy-one-get-one-free burger special. I sat at the bar and tried to order two burgers, and that's when the restrictions started coming out one by one. First, I was told the deal couldn't be taken to go. Fine. I wasn't that hungry and was going to eat some there and then box the rest up. Then I was told I had to purchase a drink with the deal. Okay, no problem, I ordered a sweet tea. A few minutes later, I was told I actually needed to purchase two drinks. Okay now Im starting to get a little irritated but still going with the flow cuz I already ordered at this point. After eating some of the food, I asked for a to-go box and was then told they don't provide to-go boxes for the promotion. At that point, I was pretty frustrated. Ive only heard of no to go boxes for places that have an all you can eat. If I had been told from the beginning that I couldnt box up any uneaten food and that I needed to purchase two drinks, I for sure would not have ate there. And honestly, what makes this a one-star experience is that the burgers weren't even that good. So after dealing with all the restrictions, the food itself didn't make the hassle worthwhile. One other thing to watch out for: the receipt appears to calculate the suggested gratuity based on the full price of both burgers rather than the discounted promotional price. If you blindly follow the suggested tip amount, you could end up significantly over-tipping. They also dont have Apple Pay either and I left my wallet so I had to phone a friend to help me out. Between the confusing promotion, poor communication, mediocre food, and questionable tip calculation, this was a frustrating experience. I definitely won't be back. read more

The Goat was one of the places recommended by our Lyft driver. He was a fan of the bucket of bacon. I got the grilled cheese/Goat Melt with pulled pork on rye. OMG, it was so good. I got it with tumbleweeds (onion rings but finer in size). The tumbleweeds were very greasy--probably wouldn't get that again. They have one of my favorite beers--Golden Road Mango Cart, I had to get one and wished I had gotten another one instead of the Drunken Frappe. It was a waste of money--I didn't taste any alcohol. We were going to play pool afterwards but five minutes after we put the money in, the manager told us that they were going to have line dancing. The manager refunded us the money. It was fun watching people line dance, my colleague participated but I just watched. It's a cool hangout spot, I would visit again. read more

Had so much fun tonight! Burgers and tater tots were amazing. The staff is also super friendly, easygoing, nice to talk to!!!

Food is really good I enjoy coming when I can however the service is iffy it can be really difficult to get someone to serve you at the bar and sometimes waiters almost never return to your table other than that awesome place with fun music and vibes! read more

It's a country bar with lots of space. We came for lunch after a convention across the street. The hostess was quite but polite. Waitress was friendly as well. We had a party of 7, four of us got food the rest got drinks. The food came out in a timely manner, we all got a burger of sorts. There is a HEFTY portion of tots that come with your enormous burger. Mine was great. The tots could have been a little crispier but overall not a bad experience. read more

First visit, kind of mixed feelings. Drinks were great, starters came quick and were good, burgers were good, mac and cheese was very dry. Services was friendly but in a big hurry to get us OUT. Given our ticket was $230.00 plus, that we were just give our check without asking if we wanted another drink or anything else felt kind of pushy. Stopped in for a quick lunch. Sat at the bar. Bartenders were solid. Some really good lunch menu options. I saw a woman walking around and interacting with customers and staff. Figured it was one of the mangers. She came over and introduced herself. Her name was Sarah. She was incredibly friendly and professional. She was really interested in making sure that my food, beverages and service experience was what I expected. I've never had such a positive experience at a restaurant / bar. Sarah put the icing on the cake. Its a C & W bar. Not really "my thing" but because of Sarah, I'm definitely going back. read more

Food and drinks were amazing!! And the live music made the night. So nice to have this place in Manchester!

So disappointing! The service was terrible although the server was pleasant, just so not interested in being at work. The steak tips were not good cuts and were over done and not well seasoned. The jalapeños were greasy and the tumbleweeds (fried onions) tasted like undercooked flour and were just terrible. Worst of all the French onion soup came out 30 minutes after everything else. The manager did take care of the meal read more

Grilled cheese and French onion soup is incredible. The best part about it is you can pick the type of cheeses you want in your grilled cheese and the ghost pepper cheese is 10/10!! The best drinks!!! Mimosas with blueberry vodka, you will not be disappointed. The service is always great and the servers are really nice. The best Sunday brunch spot. Inside it has Big open bar vibes open floor plan with high top tables. Light up the goat sign is definitely a highlight for me. Can't wait to go back read more

The Goat is large country and western venue that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have a full bar. The TVs are located to make watching while dining easy from anywhere you sit. They also offer live music, karaoke, trivia nights and more to make it a great place to hang out with friends. I visited for breakfast. The staff was very pleasant. The food was good, but nothing outstanding. I would go back with friends in the evening though, because it seems like they put a lot of effort into making it a fun place to be. read more

Location Location Location! When in downtown manchester, staying at the double tree, we tend to head out left and hit the town and bars. However, the last night visiting on July 3rd, we hooked a right and ran into the Goat! Best decision of the weekend, I think! Decor: It feels like my hometown Wyoming country bar. Plenty of seats, an excellent stage for bands, pool tables, and plenty of room to roam around when not packed. Food and Drinks: We each started with the sledgehammer, which tasted like an amped-up Mimosa, blood orange vodka; it was bright and refreshing! The app, we tried the bacon-wrapped jalapenos, and they were pretty tasty, and you could tell they def did not come from a freezer! Because it was so hot and we had a large lunch, we chose a burger and split it. There were so many choices! We opted for the big big bern: cheese, avocado, and some kind of sauce. We asked for pink, and they delivered. We did ask for tumbleweeds and a side of fries, but only the weeds came out, and in hindsight, that was just fine. The burger was juicy and seasoned very well. The weeds coulda use a tad bit more salt, but they are still great. We asked for a side of their goat sauce, and I wanted to take it home with me, hahaha! Service: Sitting at the bar is the best for ppl watching, and hubs and I love chatting with the bartenders. Rania was fantastic. The right amount of chatting and then letting us chill and enjoy the night. Music: The Goat boasted music 365 days a year and did not disappoint on Sunday! Mike Forgetti was playing, and he was amazing, just the right vibe for a lazy Sunday evening. He had this loop thing, my hubby is gonna roll his eyes at me trying to explain, but he could play different parts and record it and then become like a one-person band for his songs. So it was pretty cool listening and trying to guess what song he was going to do. Overall, give this place a chance. It is their newer location so let them work out the kinks. Also, if you are going just for dinner and don't want the "club" like vibes, I suggest you hit it up a bit early. Otherwise, this place is going to get packed, and def during the college season, it is going to get loud. We will def be back next year! read more

The atmosphere is good, big enough for large groups of people or teams. Food is average bar food and service is fine.

Don't go on a concert or event night! They are very unorganized (even before the crowds started), don't tell you that they are running a limited menu until you order something not on the limited menu (mind you, they handed us drink and regular menus and walked away, never saw anyone for 15 min). Food was ok, nothing to write home about. read more

Our table top wobbled, we thought of changing tables but the next one wobbled too. My cheeseburger was excellent but I asked for cheese and onion. The onion came as rings of a red onion. I would have preferred a slice. We asked for ketchup for the fries. Somebody had unscrewed the top of the bottle so I got a huge blob of ketchup. Haha big joke! The waitress offered to replace the fries, but I said no. Fries were hohumm anyway. The prickle was flaccid, not crisp. read more

After a wonderful afternoon of rollerblading with my beloved, we were fully lathered and famished. We saw the Goat and had a feeling the food would be amazing, to our dismay, the Goat fries were soggy, the tumbleweeds (onion strings) were nothing but batter squirted into a fryer without love or pride, and the steak and cheese was a nightmare. My beautiful girlfriend looked betrayed, downtrodden, the memory of our fanciful rollerblading now erased by the taste of sub-Applebee's slop. Skip this place at all costs, the Goat is a LIE!!! read more

Food was great, drinks were even better! Had a great time trying to learn to line dance

I came here with my friends for a birthday dinner and drinks this past Saturday. We had reservations for 6 p.m. for 12 of us and I must say that the staff did a very good job of making sure we were seated on time. We were even given a large table off to the side so we had a good view of the live music. Our waiter was great; very personable and made sure that every one in our group was taken care of (even after a couple people showed up late). We stayed for about four hours and no one ever had to walk up to the bar to order another drink. He was great! The drinks on the other hand were ehh. My mixed drinks were pretty sugary and had little-to-no alcohol. I would probably stick with beer if I come back. As for the food; their menu is loaded with stuff that makes you want to cheat on your diet. My friend ordered a burger which used grilled cheese sandwiches for buns. A few of us ended up splitting the bacon bucket, pork belly, tenders, and fried pickles which were all delicious. No complaints at all with the food! read more

I was all ready to write a scathing review but I realized it's not worth my time. If you want LAZY bartenders who spend all their time on their personal phone instead of serving customers, then this is your go to place. Add a manager who is clueless as to what is going on in her bar (maybe she should spend some time in it) and you have my experience. Cut off for no reason after 1 drink, and 1 in our party is in time out for a week. I can't be bothered with this type of crap when I go out (which is not often, so I really don't need this). Will never step foot in this establishment again. read more

Good drinks, great friendly service, but the food is lacking. Ordered the brisket sandwich and it dry. Had tots on the side and they were over cooked and cold when they came out. My friend had the steak tacos, they were dry as well, lacked sauce and they need more hot sauce options, maybe a Silas verde? Unimpressed food wise. Drinks!! Nailed it. Great bar and great service at the bar. Bartenders are friendly. Strongly suggest this place for drinks, and not the food unfortunately. Maybe management can make a few changes to improve the food. read more

Much bigger than any of the other locations which was a nice surprise - I didn't feel like we were hovering over anyone either at the bar or at our table. I think staffing is a huge issue since when we arrived we had to wait about a half hour to be seated even though there were about half the tables open...the wait times only got longer after we got seated and started our meal. The food was up to par - just as good as the other locations; the burgers will always be my favorite. We tried some Fall-inspired cocktails as well and they were both good (the Smokey cider was really good!). The only real issue we had was service - it was just really slow because the servers were overworked and it was easy to see. They were all running around and trying their best to keep up with everyone. We didn't mind, but multiple times our server would come over and ask us if she was supposed to bring us anything but forgot (she hadn't). And when she brought over the second round of drinks they were the wrong ones...still good but not what we ordered or were expecting. Overall I love the Goat and I'll be a loyal customer but the Manchester location needs to get a few kinks out before it can be a 5 star location. read more

If you want to eat a burger go on mondays for bogo burgers. If not its a fake country club

Great food, bar, and location. Live music was great and the place had great decor!! I've been to both locations and they are great.

The second time I've been here and again, awesome. A rustic cowboy bar-like atmosphere. High top tables and a large bar with plenty of seating. There is also a lower area with a big stage for, I'm sure, some great musical performances. Our server was friendly and very accommodating. She took our order quickly and checked back often. My friend and I ordered the fried pickles for an appetizer and were surprised when it was delivered and had some fried jalapeños "peppered" into the dish (get it?). When my order came to the table I was more parts pleasantly surprised than a tiny bit disappointed. Let's break this down....my burger "The Cheesehead" was looking like it should be on the cover of Burgers of the Universe Monthly!! Better than I could have imagined!! And the taste!!!! Bang boom pow (Tommy from Goodfellas impression) it was the prizefighter of tastiness. The only tiny flaw was that I had ordered my tots of the "Parmesan Truffle" variety and they arrived looking naked. Even though the plain tots were hot and crispy and delicious I still told our server of the delivery error. She was like Barry Allen in real life and returned in moments with a fresh order of the right tots. You know in the cartoons where the roadrunner scoots away and there's just a cloud of where he used to be? That was our server. She wanted to correct the issue ASAP and we appreciated it. She let us keep the first plain tots so my best friend and I were Crunchy Potato Morsel KINGS for a night - I wanted to include our servers name in the review but 1. When she introduced herself originally, there was a little ruckus from the next table and it got buried. And 2. When the check arrived it said our server was "Eliot" soooo I assumed she was training or her name is actually that. Either way, she was great. Atmosphere was great. Food was great. Can't wait to go back again and again and again!! read more

We went in after the reptile expo at the double tree hotel today to try their brunch. The atmosphere was pretty nice and the live music was good. We waited about an hour for a western omelet and French toast. Everything had a slight burnt greasy taste. Seems like they deep fried the hash browns but yet they were slightly hard inside. The best part of the whole meal was just the simple wheat toast. Would not return. The staff were apologetic for the wait. It was definitely a low point in an otherwise fun day. read more
