I hadn't been to Wendy's in years, as I'm weaning off fast food as I age. Sometimes, the urge just hits and that was today. Part of that motivation was receiving coupons from Valpack in the mail. I saw a "buy one Dave's Double get second for $1" offer, and off I went. I ordered the two, one for $1 of course, with a large pack of fries. I was told it was almost $14, paid, and was told to wait in one of the mobile pickup spots. As I parked, it dawned on me that amount seemed high given the BOGO offer of $1. As the clerk brought my order to me, I asked if a receipt accompanied the bag and he confirmed it did not. I would imagine any order should be with the receipt, but I digress. He kindly offered to grab the receipt when I told him it just seemed "off." He came back moments later, reviewed the order, and politely confirmed it was correct. He was so kind and patient, I didn't want to make him go back in but needed to know. So, a Dave's Double is close to $8, large fries $3.69 or so, add the dollar for second, Governor Murphy's share, and boom - $14 or so. Not specifically knocking Wendy's here, inflation is everywhere....but it would have been $20 or so if not for the coupon. Wow. Burger was okay at very best. For $1 more, I could have gone next door to 5 Guys and ordered a FAR tastier meal. I mean, no comparison. I loved Wendy's in the day, I truly felt it was the best of the fast food burger options in Northern NJ. I don't know if my palate has changed, or their taste. Not sure if/when I will return. Went there yesterday. They now charge 37 cents extra per sauce and charge for straws. The woman at the counter gave me a straw with my Frosty- common practice. When my friend asked for a straw, the woman said I took the straw that was intended for her soda and that Frostys must be eaten with a spoon... I've been drinking my Frosty with a straw as long as I can remember. Went to this location regularly, wont be going back. read more

Food is okay, but ambience is not. It's kind of smelly, in a chemical kind of way. Maybe it's cleaning solution, or maybe it's something else. Also, the floor is kind of dirty, both with litter and with soda spills. The Ledgewood Wendy's is a pretty solid fast food choice especially when you compare them to what's around locally. I find the food here is always good and My orders have always come out correct. The newly renovated interior makes for a nice setting while chowing down on Burgers, Fries, and Nuggets. Plus this Wendy's sells Chocolate Chunk Chip Cookies ftw. They have a pretty efficient Drive Thru window, friendly service, clean bathrooms, and a big screen TV on the wall in the dining area. Great Wendy's, so stop complaining.. This Wendy's is fast (even with an entire football team in front of me ordering 3 burgers and a frosty a piece) and there is a large banner that reminds everyone that this Wendy's manager is a nationally recognized for her great work! The lines inside were sort of long, but then so were the lines outside - maybe everyone knows which Wendy's to visit and that's why everyone comes to this location in particular. Absolutely horrible management. I tried to use a reward on my phone and the cashier handled it incorrectly. I alerted the management of what the problem was and she told me that I was incorrect and started to talk over me. She told me that "as a courtesy" she would give me the discount. I told her that I had a reward and showed it to her on my phone and that I wasn't in need of anything free. She continued to argue with me. Came for a small chili, frosty, and small chicken nuggets. Glad to see that the person manning the drive thru was highly competent. My order is wrong more often than right at this Wendy's specifically. The workers are impatient and the food is average at best when it's right. If you buy a drink you may as well ask for no ice because that's all you'll get in your cup with maybe an ounce of soda. Not sure how hard it is to make a PLAIN chicken sandwich. I have had positive experiences at this location drive-thru. Breakfast and spicy chicken sandwich and fries orders were prepared as requested and tested great. Ordered 2 Baconator's from Wendy's in Randolph, NJ. When I opened the sandwich it was just a hamburger with mayo and ketchup. I got in an accident during the snow storm this morning and really had to pee. This was he closest venue open with a bathroom. The restaurant was closed but the drive thru was open. I asked the worker through a locked door if I may please use the restroom. She shook her head got up and walked away never to return. I was trynna order front the drive thru in my work truck and I was there waiting for 4 mins with no answer then a employee came out from the back door and I asked if anyone was at the drive thru window to take my order, ofc he said yeah. He went back inside to come back out and tell me to pull around. I pulled around to the drive thru window. The Spanish lady that was working at the window, started shaking her head at me and was looking me in the eyes like if I did something wrong. I shook my head back and then she opened the window and said of course it's not gonna work your in a truck. She didn't bother asking how I was or even apologize. This Wendy's is awesome! I have recently had huge restrictions put on my diet and I work 3 jobs. I don't always have time to make a home cooked meal and I refuse to spend $11 on a Panera salad that has 1000+calories in it. I ordered a half size (the fact they even have half as an option gets me so giddy because I hate wasting food) power Mediterranean salad with added American cheese. At first they thought I meant substitute the feta for American. After we quickly cleared the confusion I realized they were going to make me a fresh to order salad to accommodate my "request". I understand that they prep all salads every morning so I thought it was really awesome they would make a fresh salad just for a substitution. The cashier and all other staff did everything with a smile and it was DELICIOUS and healthy! So happy to know I can swing by a drive thru and get a nutritious and yummy meal for a great price. Of course, for personal reasons, I refuse to have my real name in this review. The manager(the hispanic lady, ARACELI or something), Treated me with utter DISRESPECT. I come from a hard working, hard ethic family of MEDICAL DOCTORS. I was doing this this job to give back to the community during a break semester from college and also to improve my day to day work ethnic and improve my ability to take pride in small things. I was learning day by day. I was OBEYING EVERY SINGLE COMMAND she instructed me to. It was my 5th day of working and I believe that she SEEKED to report any sort of performance mistake on my end, and I am assuming it was for some personal reason on her end in her mind, whatever her impressions on me, I don't know. Some of the mistakes, which I took full responsibility for, were slightly contributed by my coworkers giving me conflicting instructions of cooking the meat. This manager, without a doubt, has mediocre if not poor management skills, strictly in my opinion. During my first day of interview, she appeared nervous and even forgot to order my shoes. She forgot to give me my orientation handbook, and failed to give me or tell me where my schedule was. No offense in any way, but her english is very hard to understand for some people including me, and she gets angry when I ask her to repeat anything. I had to ask for the schedule to my coworker and they said she had it. I asked her and still didn't receive it. I respect the other great workers for doing their jobs and I believe this manager, Araceli, is not giving the store a good atmosphere to work in, and I am a VERY truthful to verify this. I really hope the higher managemen HONESTLY LOOK INTO THIS There was another manager there(the young male with glasses) who was extremely polite and seemed to be working very hard as opposed to araceli who was mainly taking drive thru orders with an unenthusiastic tone and rarely conversing to coworkers in a pleasant manner. A few of my coworkers and I recently ate at Wendys at were very satisfied with the food and the service. The manager made it a point to come to our table and take our trays away for us while introducing herself. She asked how our experience was and asked us to come again. Went inside to place a simple order- two spicy chicken sandwiches with asiago cheese added. The cashier could not get the order right even after I repeated it 6 times and even demonstrated how the cheese should be added to the chicken sandwich. Even after that demonstration, she concluded that I ordered two chicken wraps with cheese. Unbelievable! Another person who was manning the drive thru gave me a dirty look after seeing my exchange with the cashier and said something derogatory about me to another worker that I could not hear. A young female manager had to take over for the cashier. Incredibly, she immediately got my order right, but the whole time she had a scowl on her face. I asked if there was a problem and she said that I was rude to the cashier. Whatever happened to common decency and the presumption that the customer is right? Apparently, she judged me and took the word of her co-workers behind the counter without hearing my side of the story. I asked the manager for her name, but she refused to give it to me and she refused to give me the name of the store owner. This Wendy's is horrible and should be avoided at all costs.
