The service isn't bad and the staff are friendlier than some on The Parade... It's a comfy restaurant, family friendly with reasonable prices. The atmosphere is good, unpretentious and really laidback, which is a major plus. Some prefer table service - I prefer ordering at the counter. I hate waiting around for someone to see my hand. Overall, a genuinely good restaurant.

We both ordered the big breakfast with a side of hollandaise (I like everything benedict) and a cappuccino. We waited a little longer than expected but not so long that I was irritated, coffee was nice (not exactly rocket science) the breakfast was also good, not exemplary though, there wasn't enough toast, the bacon was a tad under cooked and the cheese cransky could be a bit much for some diners. One thing I will say and I really like (for some reason) The little butter sachet was soft and easy to spread, I hate butter that I can't spread like what is the point of having unspreadable butter The service was friendly enough - however everyone was very busy, I'm a big fan of hosting staff, I like being greeted I like being shown a menu - I know this is a cafe and not a restaurant - but I've been to burger joints that offer at least some form of table service. But I will get some more, oh yes, I shall. My friend bought enough chocolate to sink a battleship, proclaiming that making a decision was hard, so one of just about everything was a better idea. We were both impressed with the service and the prices, the staff were friendly, and most wonderful of all, thanks to the time of day we visited, we were the only ones in the shop! Other people turned up when we left, so I think we did very well indeed. Melba's is an Adelaide institution, and with very good reason.

In terms of presentation, the piece of cake was well placed and was of good size for $6.50. The base of the cake was also not too thick either making it perfect for cutting using a desert fork. They also provided appropriate cutlery given the cake was to be shared between two people. This was without having to ask and was rather thoughtful. Staff were friendly and service was pleasing. Wait times weren't too long either even though there were quite a few people there. Their hot chocolate is good. It doesn't taste too watery like other coffee shops I have been too. Tucked away in the corner of the Woodcroft Plaza, this coffee shop is a gem that you definitely wouldn't want to miss.

Set in the heart of Norwood shopping district and with a huge fan base, this groceries store has everything to offer. You are greeted at the entry by the large Deli section, fully stocked with the most amazing cheeses, meats, salads, roast chickens and seafood. All the produce is fresh and ready to be packaged up for you to take home. The staffs in the deli section are always busy! You will need to reach for a number as I almost guarantee you will need to wait your turn. They are happy for you to try different sliced meats and olives, so do not hesitate to ask to assist with your decision. As for the fruit and veg, it is generally well priced and fresh. You will find a good organic produce section here with a larger than normal. The fruit and veg are always arranged quite neatly and during the busy periods you will find staff constantly re-stocking. Like most Romeo Foodlands, you will find a very diverse range of products from around the world and a lot of locally sourced goods. They are very South Australian proud and I have found the most amazing local products here. One thing to mention about this store is the amazing bakery section. The bread, rolls, pastries and cakes are all of very high quality and are baked daily. You will find all different types of sourdoughs, rye, baguettes, pizzas, loafs, etc... The seating can be difficult here as it has lots of booths but for two only. Can be a bit disjointed if three of you and seems to get quite busy. Whatever you feel like Kondotorei is the best place in Stirling to get it. Their cute booth style seating and roaring fire in the winter makes Kondotorei stand out from other places in Stirling that are often noisy and uncomfortable. They also have some great terrines and the closest thing you will find in Adelaide to Head Cheese? Need to ask what it is......then you don't get to know!

I have really enjoyed cooking up a rack of lamb from barossa fine foods and their diced lamb makes for a fantastic stew or curry. In addition to the entirely accessible, Barossa stocks some gourmet numbers which are perhaps a bit more risque, such as black pudding/blood saussage, emu posciutto and biltong (south african style dried beef). Try the kangaroo salami, it is really good and because kangaroos don't fart methane, it is good for the planet too.

Just goes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover, right? There's a wide variety of stock to be found at this supermarket. The fruit and vegetable section looks fresh and colourful, just like it should. There's also plenty of trolley space between isles, and in my opinion that's one of the most important things. I hate when you're shopping and everyone is trying to get past you but all the trolleys are taking up space and it just ends up being a disaster. If you live in the area, I would shop here.
