This place is so good!!…read more My go-to order is the bacon cheese burger + avocado and grilled jalapeños. These burgers are so flavorful and taste homemade. They have a wide variety of choices and you can't go wrong making it your own! Although the fries are a bit salty, they taste just like my grandma used to make when I was younger. We paid roughly $30 for 2 burgers with a few extra add-ons, 2 fries and 2 medium drinks. (Not too bad!) The service here is great and the food took no more than 10 minutes during lunch rush. The restaurant is clean and the all the condiments are organized. **Only suggestion is asking for a side tray for ketchup if you're a burger dipper like me because they only have the small white paper ketchup cups! Will be back again 10/10

I had a good feeling upon walking in after seeing the menu and the prices in how favorable they are compared to other craft burger spots. Given today's economic environment, you appreciate affordability when you're going out to eat. And they have quite the menu of burgers to choose from here. I ultimately decided on the hatch burger as I had a hankering for hatch peppers/chiles. Also got a side of truffle fries with it. Meanwhile, my girlfriend got a standard cheeseburger and fries. Price-wise, including tips/taxes, it came to roughly $30 which is less than the $38-40 I've normally paid at other burger places. We got them to go and scarfed them down when we got home. Even after sitting in the boxes on the ride home, the burgers were juicy and tasty. I loved the hatch cheese and bacon mixed with the peppers for the burger, would definitely order again. The truffle fries were alright, just fries topped with parmesan and a hint of truffle to it. I'll probably just get the regular fries next time. The girlfriend was happy with her burger and fries. While a basic cheeseburger, it hit the spot for her. Definitely open to coming back here to try other burgers and items. Nothing little bitty about this spot when it comes to their burgers.

Located in Spring Branch, this fast casual restaurant is located in the same shopping center as quite a few solid eateries including The Blind Goat, Jinya, and Feges BBQ. In fact, Stuffed Belly is owned by Christine Ha, winner of season five of Masterchef. Parking wasn't an issue in the busy yet spacious complimentary lot around the shopping center. Ambiance (3/5): Stuffed Belly is more of a grab-and-go type spot. The reason? It's quite small. There are about five seats inside and one long picnic style seating area on the small patio. That's it. The restaurant looks nice, just tiny. Service (4.5/5): You order at the counter and they let you know when your order is ready. The ordering process was smooth and we got our food within a reasonable amount of time. While service isn't a big part of the experience, I didn't run into any issues. Drinks (N/A): I didn't order any beverages on this visit. Food (3/5): I went with the belly burger (their classic burger) and an order of the loaded tots. It was a mixed bag. I love a good smash burger, it's one of my favorite types of burgers. The ingredients are all quality. The problem? One issue is that it's a pretty small burger as you can tell from my picture. A kiddie burger of sorts. The loaded tots, on the other hand, were a generous portion. I have a weakness for loaded fries. As others have mentioned in their reviews, fries are not an option at Stuffed Belly. Tots only. I like tater tots too, but it is pretty bizarre for a burger spot to not have fries on the menu. The other issue I have is that both of my items (as well as what my mom ordered) was spicy. Take this with a grain of salt as I can only handle a little spice. Still, the menu offerings packed more of a punch than I expected. Which definitely impacted my enjoyment of the meal. If you like spicy, don't sweat it. If you don't, you're probably going to feel like I did. While Stuffed Belly underdelivered a bit for me, I did come in with high expectations. The Blind Goat is much better (though more expensive) in my book. Also keep in mind that Stuffed Belly closes pretty early on several days of the week... 8 p.m.

Sat near us at the table adjacent to the door was a man in a black hoodie and black pants who, we didn't know this at the time, was open-carrying a firearm and was playing on his phone. In the middle of our meal, a gentleman approached the entrance near us and when he tried to open the door, it was locked. The man seated adjacent to the door was pointing at the front entrance as if to tell him to go around. My friend, who actually did not notice this gesture because he was seated with his back to the man, opened the door for the customer and went back to sit with us. It was at this point that the man seated by the door started mumbling to himself about his disapproval at the actions of my friend. He did not say anything directly to my friend. He did not tell my friend not to open the door when he saw him get up to do it. He did not inform us whether the establishment was closed. He just started mumbling harshly to himself as my friends and I continued to converse. I am not sure if he wanted us to hear him or not, I assumed no because he did not start doing it until my friend had already seated himself and we had already started socializing again. A few minutes later, another gentleman comes to the door. Same thing happens, the guy seated by the door points to the main entrance as if to tell him that that's where he should be entering. When the man gets there, the door seems to be locked. Again, my friend, who was simply trying to be helpful to other customers, stood up and walked all the way across the store to open the door for the gentleman. It wasn't until he was already at the door that the man seated by the other door stands up and aggressively starts YELLING across the room, demanding my friend "SIT DOWN", "STOP OPENING THE DOOR", "YOU DON'T WORK HERE SO I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU KEEP TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR FOR PEOPLE", among other exclamations. Then my friend, who is confused as to why what he thought was a random man is yelling at him, asks him "do you work here?" to which the man flashes his holstered firearm and says "YOU SEE THIS GUN? YES I WORK HERE, IM SECURITY! BUT YOU DON'T WORK HERE SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU KEEP OPENING THE DOOR FOR PEOPLE!" Keep in mind he's still standing and just, overall, being confrontational and overtly unprofessional. My other friend responded to the man by saying that our friend was just trying to be helpful. To that, the man still responded with complete hostility. My friend backed away from the door, we all got up from our table, threw away our food, and attempted to leave through the front door. One of the Whataburger employees politely asked us to take the back door instead. Now at this point, there were customers waiting at both locked entrances. But we left. This entire interaction was not only unnecessary, it was unprofessional and not handled with care AT ALL. As armed security, you are supposed to be a trusted professional who looks out for the safety of individuals within your establishment. You are not to escalate situations, you are supposed to de-escalate. This security guard INITIATED the confrontation. It is a privilege to be a security guard carrying a firearm. You do not use the fact that you have one to attempt to scare the people you are supposed to be protecting. Way to lose public trust. Yes, we understand that if the store is closed, it is your job to ensure that customers are not entering the establishment. However, this whole situation was completely mishandled, and there were so many ways the situation could have been handled appropriately: 1) Let dine-in customers know that the store is closed when it closes and not to let people in. 2) If someone happens to not be aware and gets up with the intention of opening the door for someone, STOP THEM during the act, inform them that the store is closed, and ask them not to open the door. 3) Be polite to those who pose no actual threat. Whataburger, do better at hiring your armed security.
